Story
I have two dogs as you can see from the pictures, one male and one female. I'm an older man recently widowed and just can't handle them. They have way too much energy for me. They're good dogs just a bit too energetic. They were trained on pee pads when we got them and I've just not been able to break them from that. I really would like them to stay together as they have never been separated since birth. I just really hope I can find them a good loving home. They are going to be two years old in April

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Piper: Your Future Best Fur Friend! Hi, I'm Piper, and I'm on a quest to find my forever people—could that be you? Choosing a new best friend is a big decision, so let me share a bit about myself and the kind of forever home I'm dreaming of. My Story: I’m a Parvo survivor, which makes me one of the lucky ones! My early life was tough, and when I got sick, I was surrendered to House of Hounds. My journey to health was long, but I made it through. However, once I was well enough to be adopted, it was clear I was under-socialized and very fearful. My first foster family was wonderful, but it wasn’t the right fit because they had lots of kitties. I have a strong prey drive, so I couldn’t be around cats. I had to wait a while for a new foster home that was kitty-free, and during that time, I spent a lot of time confined away from kitties. When I was out, I loved eating snow, zooming around, and playing with my foster dog brother.  My Life Now: In my current foster home, I live with a playful submissive lab, a two-year-old human, and my foster mom and dad. I love everyone here and have become the boss of my foster doggy sister. It took me a few days to warm up to my foster dad, but now I love giving him kisses and climbing on his lap! I’ve been comfortable with the little human since day one and even with her young cousins. My foster mom takes me on daily walks to help me get used to new sounds. I used to be scared of big trucks and trash cans, but I’m learning these are normal and not scary. I’m also working on house training, which has been tough. With consistency and a doggy door, I’m slowly figuring it out, but this will be my biggest challenge. I’m spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped. Who is Piper? I’m a 2 almost 3 year old playful, medium-energy girl who loves to cuddle, be silly, and give kisses. Like a typical pitty, I’m an expert at de-fluffing toys. I love playing a game where I run up to my foster dad, he jumps at me like "boo!", and I sprint away only to come back for round two. Zooming around a big field with my dog sister is another favorite activity, and I’ve learned to come back when called. I also enjoy car rides.  My Ideal Home: A yard for zoomies A submissive dog friend Patient people – I’m a work in progress Semi-active lifestyle – I love walks and playtime Plans to continue my training No cats I’m eager to continue working on my social skills and basic commands in my forever home. Until the right family finds me, I’ll keep working hard with my foster parents to become the best doggy I can be. If you think we’d be a perfect match, I’d love to meet you! Let’s make it happen and become forever friends!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate July 18, 2024, 2:12 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  The name's Eddie, though my foster family likes to call me Edwina when I’m being cheeky, Dennis the Menace when I’m extra naughty, and my favorite—Eddie-Beddie-Boo! A Bit About Me: I’m a one-ish year old Jack Russell Mix, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. My foster mom says I have springs for legs, never-ending energy, and a “nutty” personality—whatever that means! I’m quite mouthy and might have some herding breed in me, which adds to my unique charm. I came in as a stray, clearly never socialized, and with no basic training. New things, especially new people, scare me, and I will bite if I feel cornered. My foster mom is helping me build confidence, but it’s a long journey. So, whoever adopts me needs to know that the dog they meet initially won’t be the dog they ultimately get. Getting to Know Me: When meeting new people, my foster mom advises them to ignore me completely, even if I’m barking and sprinting around. This helps take the pressure off and lets me get used to new smells, sounds, and movements. Typically, it takes about 30 minutes of being ignored before I show my true self. The Real Eddie: Once I warm up, I love exploring backyard woods, standing on tables and chairs, zooming around at 100 mph, thrashing in kiddie pools, and playing with other animals—though I can be dominant with male dogs. I’m also very mischievous, in true Jack Russell fashion. My foster mom says I’d be a TikTok star because I’m constantly entertaining! I love stealing toys from my human foster siblings and making them chase me to get them back. My Ideal Forever Home: No kids under 13 - I like to bite little kid legs when they run by, just ask the human kids in my home. Playful dog siblings - I will annoy older dogs. Confident cats - I would chase a cat that runs, not to hurt them but to play. Active lifestyle - I’m always ready to run, romp, play, and go on adventures. Patient family - I need to keep working on my confidence with new people, sounds, and places using positive reinforcement. Boundaries - I’m smart and will get into things if you don’t set clear boundaries. Preferred: Jack Russell experience - We are one of a kind! ;) I don’t have resource guarding tendencies, love mealtime and treats, know “go to bed” when asked (I go to my crate), and am potty trained everywhere except the basement. For some reason, I can’t resist peeing in basements, so my foster family keeps that door closed! Ready for an Adventure? If you’re up for a project (me) and want to be constantly entertained, apply for a meet and greet! I promise you, life with me will never be boring!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate July 18, 2024, 2:12 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Jack, a year old male Beagle, who will win your heart over. Jack loves everyone, he will gently put his paws on you to get closer, will snuggle with you if you let him, and loves with his WHOLE heart. Jack was a surrendered hunting dog at 9 months old. He has spent the last 3 months in foster care being treated for heartworm. He is heartworm free and ready to get out and do things! Jack is definitely still a puppy, learning how to navigate living in a home. We found it beneficial to use his harness and leash along with positive praise and treats to curb unwanted behavior.   Jack is looking forward to having a job that will use his energy. Maybe a jogging companion, a walking companion, a gardening buddy, who knows. He loves the outdoors. He would love to have a home with a fence so he could run and be safe. He loved the neighbor boy, and all adults he’s interacted with.   Jack is brave. He isn’t worried about thunder, screams (yes, I screamed when there was a spider on me), or vacuums.   Jack doesn’t like to be left by those he loves, which is everybody. He will howl for a few seconds, and stop if you distract him - treat, toy, positive and excited voice. When left alone, he is currently being medicated, crated, and has a foster dog who is nearby. This helps with his feelings of abandonment.  So we do recommend another dog in the home with him. We all are hopeful that now that he is allowed to exercise that he will expend his energy and that he can find a home that has a lot of activity and a dog pal. Jack likes cats, but will chase cats that run. So introductions will need to be thought out and monitored.    We think Jack is super smart, willing to please, and absolutely adorable. We hope you do too! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate July 18, 2024, 2:12 pm

Block here! Or Block-o-Saurus Rex as the Ranch gang likes to call me.  I know I am a big boy, but really I'm just like a big toddler stuck in an adult size body! I'm a happy guy just playing with my Jolly Ball or tennis balls with my humans or by myself.  I find when I am in a home, I love being with other dogs and love having buddies.  When I'm at the Ranch, I get to play with everyone while being supervised. I'm neutered and up to date on all of my shots, and ready for my new home!  I do like to cuddle despite my size and boy do I like car rides.  Have I mentioned I love car rides!! Me and my humans and adventures, doesn't get much better than that.  I'm not high maintanence either, a good nap on the couch, or my bed, a good walk, I'm a man with little needs.  Come and meet me and I promise you'll want to take me home! ##1543862##

Story
INTRODUCING... Tinsel Searching for a petite young princess to add to your family?? Tinsel would love a chance.  She has spent a majority of her life in the shelter environment, over 7 months. In her foster she is JUST getting the opportunity to learn all of the perks of being someones beloved pet. Because of her shakey and unknown upbringing she needs time as the only pet in the home. Give her some time, trust, and training and that could change!! Tinsel knows basic commands and is potty trained! She is so snuggly and sweet. We know her perfect family is out there waiting to give her all the love and attention she so desperately deserves. She just needs a chance.  ##1663642##
