Story
Hey there, I'm Aubrey, the stunning 30-pound, 1-year-old female Plott Hound mix with a heart as beautiful as I am! I had a tough beginning, I was surrendered to an overcrowded kill shelter in Texas when I was just 4 months old because my owner had too many dogs. I was very, very scared, but thankfully Project Hope saw the pleading in my eyes and they saved me!I’m going to be honest with you here - I am a total sweetheart once I warm up to you, but I am just terrible at meet and greets! I don’t know what happens, I just get so nervous that I start acting all shy, and a lot of my amazing personality just flies right out the window. I really need an understanding family that knows it might take a few days for the true me to shine through. Then I’ll be on you like white on rice, I want nothing more than to be with my person. I love other doggos, but I haven’t had the pleasure of making any feline friends yet. I would probably do best in an adults-only household. I'm a spunky girl who loves nothing more than running and playing, so I'd thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can stretch my legs. But hey, even if you don't have a yard, as long as we can go for walks and play together, I'll be one happy pup! After all that fun, I'm all about snuggling up with my favorite person for a nap. I'm potty and crate-trained, spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines, so I'm ready to bring love and laughter to my forever home.My adoption fee is $300, and if you have any questions, just shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Hey there, I'm Skymir, the one-year-old, 40-pound lab mix pup with a heart of gold. I'm all about those butt wiggles, playtime with my foster siblings and sinking my teeth into a good hard bone. My playful and joyful nature shines through in everything I do. I'm super food-motivated and eager to learn, especially during training sessions. I'm a delightful companion, although I may need a bit of guidance when it comes to jumping, so older kids are probably the best match for me right now. At first, I might be a bit shy, but don't worry—I warm up quickly and love nothing more than cuddling in my crate on cold days or soaking up the sun on warmer ones. Having a physical fenced yard is a must for me, so I have plenty of space to play and explore. I'd thrive in the company of another dog or with an active family. Sometimes I guard my toys from other dogs, but otherwise we get along famously. Plus, I'm already neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped, so I'm all set to bring my infectious energy to a loving home. If you think I’m the one for you, my adoption fee is $300. Have questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to bring me home? Please fill out an application on our website www.projecthoperescue.org. Let's start making memories together! My journey started on the streets of Texas, where I was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter. You really need to see me in person to appreciate what a beautiful dog I am!I’m a bundle of joy just waiting to bring warmth and companionship to your life. I absolutely love to play, especially when I’m frolicking around with other doggy pals. I’ll definitely need a FULLY FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content. I’m also longing for a fur-sibling to share all my adventures with.I’ve got all the skills for family life down pat. From crate-training to housebreaking, I’m all set and ready to go. And let me tell you, I’m a quick learner! My food motivation and easy trainability make me a breeze to work with, and my impeccable house manners reflect my gentle nature.Fully-vetted and bursting with love and loyalty, I can’t wait to find my forever family. Story
Hey there! I'm Daniel, the happy-go-lucky 9-month-old, 55-pound male black Lab & German Shepherd mix eagerly looking for my forever family! At only 4 months old, I ended up in a southern kill shelter with a broken leg, but now I’m all healed up and ready for my forever home! I don’t want to brag, but I’ve been told that I would make a GREAT therapy dog! Some important things about me - I’m good on a leash, LOVE going for car rides, and get along with everyone I meet. People say that I'm really smart and that I learn really fast. The secret to me learning new things is TREATS!! I love treats! Since I'm still a kind of young, I do need someone who wants to teach me how to be the very best dog I can be, make sure I get lots of exercise, and challenge my super smart brain! And, when it comes to chillin' out...I’m a great snuggler and love to settle down for a good nap. Give me a nice cozy dog bed and I'm set for the night! As you can see, I'm a handsome fellow who loves kids and other dogs. I haven’t been exposed to cats yet, so I might meet them with curiosity, but I think we’d be ok. Since I am still a youngster, I have a lot of energy, so need a family who will take me on walks or runs, play fetch and tug of war, or best of all....maybe have another playful dog in the family that I can play with! I will definitely need a home with a FENCED-IN yard. I love playing with other fun dogs and sturdy kids! (I'm trying hard to learn not to jump on people for attention).I’m housebroken, crate-trained (though it’s not my favorite place to be), fully-vetted and my adoption fee is $350. I am currently being fostered in South Bend, Indiana, (46614) but if you're in Michigan, don’t worry, we can make it happen. So, what do you say? Are you looking for a tall, dark, handsome, smart, fun, sweet and energetic guy to join your family? If you have any questions, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to welcome me into your home? Fill out an application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org. I would love to meet you!May 4, 2024, 11:31 am

Story
Hey there, humans! I’m Nohemi, the sweet and loving 3-month-old, female mixed breed (possibly a Miniature Pinscher mix) weighing in at a whopping 12lbs! My journey started off a bit ruff – I was found by myself as a stray when I was only 8 weeks old and ended up in a southern kill shelter, but thanks to some kind people, I've been given a second chance at happiness here in Fort Wayne, Indiana. And hey, if you're in Michigan, no worries – my foster Mom is willing to meet you in Coldwater!  Now, I am mostly blind in one eye due to an ulcer I had when I came into the shelter, but let me tell you, it doesn't slow me down one bit and I have no trouble navigating my surroundings. I zip around like the wind and tackle every adventure with gusto. I even walk great on a leash already! Sure, loud cars make me a tad nervous, but with a loving family by my side, I know I'll feel safe and secure. The only time I bark is when I am ready to go out and play. Speaking of which, I will require a FULLY FENCED YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content.  I absolutely adore hanging out with other dogs – big, small, you name it! My foster siblings include Rotties, Pitties, a Terrier and a Chihuahua! I get along with all of them like peanut butter and jelly. I haven’t had the pleasure of making any feline friends yet, but my gentle nature suggests that we would get along just fine. And I love to give kisses to all the kids I meet. But watch out, I do still have those sharp little puppy teeth. I'm already a pro at sleeping through the night in my cozy crate (I never make a mess in it either!) and I’m starting to get the hang of potty training – I do need to go out about 5 minutes after I eat. And boy, am I a foodie! Show me a tasty treat, and I'll happily sit and give you my best puppy dog eyes. But, alas, I do like to jump when I get really excited. But who can blame me, I am still a puppy and new things are exciting!  I'm all set to join my new family – fully-vetted, microchipped and ready to spread love wherever I go. My adoption fee is $350. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to take the plunge and make me a part of your pack? You can visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org to fill out an adoption application. I can't wait to meet you and start our paw-some adventures together. Let's make some memories – furever!May 4, 2024, 11:31 am

Story
Hi kind humans! Bayou here, the 1-year-old, 37lb male Pittie mix looking for a family to belong to! I was found as a stray and brought to a southern kill shelter with a severely injured leg and my odds weren’t good. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saved me, I had that leg amputated and now I’m a “tripawd”. But I don’t let that slow me down one bit! Now I’m up here in Byron Center, Michigan with my sites set on finding my forever home. The first thing you should know about me is that I’m the HAPPIEST pupper you’ll ever meet. I get along with all other dogs, big and small, none can resist my big smile and happy-go-lucky (and very submissive) nature. I love my friends so much, I’ll even share my food bowl! My favorite thing to do is play fetch - and I’m really good at it, 3 legs and all. I’ll definitely need a FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content. I love kids! I haven’t had the opportunity to make any feline friends yet, but my gentle nature suggests that we would get along just fine.If you’re looking for a dog that you can take everywhere - PICK ME! I’m very popular on the pet store circuit and if you take me to a dog-friendly restaurant, I will behave like a perfect gentleman, I’ve got my manners down pat. Visiting family? No problem, I make new friends wherever I go and I even ride well in the car! I’m also very smart - I learned ‘sit’ in about 30 seconds and I’m eager to be taught more commands. The secret is TREATS!! I am a very food and treat motivated learner. So what do you say? This bundle of joy is housebroken, crate-trained, fully-vetted and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions about me? Please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com.
