This hurts to have to do this. But my adorable love bug is no longer getting along with our aged boxer. So for the safety of both my boys I must put him up for adoption. Must be a home with no other dogs. He has been around children, but prefers them calm. He does NOT like cats He loves to play ball, loves to get zoomies, loves to play in mud puddles. But mostly just loves to be in your lap getting loved. He is up to date on all his shots and has been neutered. Must meet adopters as I would like my boy to go to the right home.

The only thing that makes him a little nervous is delivery drivers; but with some reassurance, he settles down quickly. Oakley is looking for a home where he can stretch his legs and share his big heart.

We had a child that wanted a German shepherd. She came to us at about 5 weeks old. She had parvo at that time, but with the help of an emergency vet, we nursed her back to health. She is a powerhouse! She loves having her ears scratched. My husband sits on the floor with her for about 20-30 minutes daily to give her affection. She will eat most human foods that are safe for her. She gets Nutter Butter cookies every day (she turns up her nose when we try to substitute). She knows where the treats are and will point to them. Due to my disabilities, I am no longer able to care for her. My spouse and children are gone all day, so sadly, she uses the bathroom inside. However, she will let family know when she needs out. If they don't take care of it within 10 minutes, she will go inside again. We are willing to meet somewhere for transfer of pet. Also, we are willing to give $100 cash to assist with initial costs.

Hi, I'm Ash. I've been through a lot, and I'm still searching for my happy ending. When I first came to FDHS, I was in rough shape. I was a stray with a painful hip injury and was pretty freaked out. The kind people at FDHS took care of me, fixed my hip, and showed me lots of love. I got adopted once and for a little while, I though I'd found my forever. But it turns out it wasn't the right fit. I don't really do well with being left alone for long periods. It makes me feel scared and unsure- I need someone I know I can count on to come back for me. I prefer a quieter lifestyle and would love nothing more than a steady home where I can feel safe and loved. I'll be honest- I'm a little stubborn sometimes, but I'm also a really big softie who loves really hard. I'll be your shadow, your protector, and your biggest fan. I get along fine with other animals, but because of my hip, I need a more gentle playmate. I just want a person who won't give up on me. Someone who sees my past quirks and understands that I've been hurt before. If you can give me the love and stability I've been searching for, I promise to give you my whole heart in return.Will you be my forever?**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 55 lbs**
