Story
Diego is the sweetest boy, but requires a patient and understanding person.   See he was dropped off at the shelter at 12-weeks old and until January 20th he only knew what life was like living at the outside shelter.  As you can imagine, his world was turned upside down on that Saturday freedom ride.  Everything he had ever known was different, literally everything. But this boy takes it all in stride, he’s unsure at first, but then once he tries something out a few times he is hooked! Diego is now an inside dog and he is thriving!  He is crate trained and potty trained but, may regress a little in a new situation. He is a very loving goofball, sweet and kind. He is shy and runs away but will come up for love when he is ready. He likes to dance and jump around when he gets out of his crate in the morning. He is trying to get used to the 9 year old in his foster  home. When he is nervous, he will go in his crate or outside. Diego is a quiet dog and knows "go potty". He loves to play when appropriate and relaxes when things are quiet. Due to his nervousness we feel he would do best with a fence to prevent him from getting scared and dashing off.  He is definitely a work in progress and   working on mastering sit. Do you have the patience to give this loving, charismatic goofball a chance at forever?  Complete the application today!  Diego’s adoption fee is $175.00 which includes all shots, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs, we are only guessing at breed mix.  May 2, 2024, 4:52 pm

Story
Meet Kida, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. She's a smart girl who's already potty and leash trained, listening attentively to commands. Her intelligence shines through her interactions, making her an easy companion for anyone. Kida is also a friend to all creatures, displaying an innate gentleness with farm animals that speaks volumes about her sweet nature. This loving dog is just waiting for the right family to share her sweetness and intelligence with. Adopt Kida, and you'll be gaining a loyal, intelligent companion who will bring joy and harmony into your life. Kida does have one drawback, when she went to the vet to be spayed we found out she had two mammary tumors.  These were removed, but our vet has suggested that these could come back, so we want to be very transparent that she may have some future medical expenses.  For this reason, we are waving her adoption fee. If you are interested in meeting her and loving her unconditionally for the rest of her life, reach out and we can tell you more.   Kida is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines If you are interested, please complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  a4apetpantry.org Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs, we are only guessing at breed mix.  May 2, 2024, 4:52 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Ruger! I may just be a puppy, but I've had quite the magical dream. I was born in a far-off land where dogs can talk. One day, I stumbled upon a magical bone. It granted me one wish, and I wished to find a family who'd love me. Poof! I woke up. I'm great with kids and other dogs. I'm quiet when the moon is up and I love toys! I know my journey isn't over yet. I believe my wish will come true soon. Could you be the family I wished for? Ruger's adoption fee is $300.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative.
