You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MEET SEEKA !!!! Seeka is an energetic young pit mix! At 1.5 yrs , this girl is all play . Special attention to the super pretty light brindle pattern this girl has on her back! Seeka is about 50lbs and medium sized lap dog. She loves to be loved. Watch those toes, cause she will come and lick them all up! My daughter and I have been goofing about her fun little quirks. But in all seriousness, Seeka is one of the most loving dogs we’ve fostered. She is working on crate training. While she doesn’t go in automatically , she does walk to it for me, then allows me to help encourage her in, and once in, not a single peep from the girl. Whether it’s waking up in the morning and waiting to be let out, or coming home after work. She is so quiet and so patient! Seeka is eager to learn and please so far. House trained and potential to be a “free feeder”. While Seeka does love enjoying her meal, she’s not worried about it right away. She eats when she’s hungry. She has been fed around other dogs and never attempts to steal their food. She loves chewing on tough toys , bones, and antlers. She can play with them with other dogs or on her own. She is absolutely obsessed with my 12yr old daughter , so a home with kids would be her dream! Seeka is UTD on shots, heart worm, and is fixed. Check her out!! Update2: Snow has been with us for about 3 months(staying in St. louis). She has become comfortable here. The dogs are learning each others boundaries. She is energetic , affectionate, loves walks and following you around. She is adjusting to the house rules and likes being part of the pack. She knows sit, down, off and wait. She is working on stay and leave it. She is allowed on the couch/bed. She does not like storms. She howls when she is excited and she is learning whisper in the house. She is still unsure of most men. She would do well in a home by herself or with another dog. She seems to gravitate to one person. This is Snow. She was found in a box at Walmart. Her human mom passed away 3 years ago and her human dad just passed in June. She had her 10th birthday in August. She is a young 10 year old.

Story

Baby was adopted from a shelter and has been a great dog. The shelter led us to believe she was older (5 yrs old) but the vet believes she is maybe 1-3 yrs old. So she is much more active than we can keep up with due to work keeping us away from home for 10-11 hours a day. We wanted a lazy companion for our older dog and she does ok but would do much better with more activity. She is completely potty trained, great with dogs, cats, kids and even chickens. We started off getting her used to the crate but now we leave her out of the crate while gone and she does great. When we first brought her home from the shelter, she would find a kids toy or sock to chew a little bit. But she is growing out of that and hardly does that anymore. She does not bark when people come into the house or at other dogs. We are working on basic obedience like sit and stay, she still doesn’t have it all down yet but eager to learn. She takes treats gently and is a great girl for an active family or a farm.
