Story
Diego is the sweetest boy, but requires a patient and understanding person.   See he was dropped off at the shelter at 12-weeks old and until January 20th he only knew what life was like living at the outside shelter.  As you can imagine, his world was turned upside down on that Saturday freedom ride.  Everything he had ever known was different, literally everything. But this boy takes it all in stride, he’s unsure at first, but then once he tries something out a few times he is hooked! Diego is now an inside dog and he is thriving!  He is crate trained and potty trained but, may regress a little in a new situation. He is a very loving goofball, sweet and kind. He is shy and runs away but will come up for love when he is ready. He likes to dance and jump around when he gets out of his crate in the morning. He is trying to get used to the 9 year old in his foster  home. When he is nervous, he will go in his crate or outside. Diego is a quiet dog and knows "go potty". He loves to play when appropriate and relaxes when things are quiet. Due to his nervousness we feel he would do best with a fence to prevent him from getting scared and dashing off.  He is definitely a work in progress and   working on mastering sit. Do you have the patience to give this loving, charismatic goofball a chance at forever?  Complete the application today!  Diego’s adoption fee is $175.00 which includes all shots, spay, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs, we are only guessing at breed mix.  April 20, 2024, 10:20 am
