Story
Purchased from breeder 4.5 years ago. He's a great dog but to much energy to be around 2 year old son. Cannot keep in house anymore and getting to cold outside. I would like a loving home where he gets more attention than what I can give.

Story
Rusty is a stunning shepherd mix with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful nature. He's the kind of dog who forms deep, meaningful bonds &#194&#151 but he needs a confident, calm person who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. Rusty can be a little leery of new people at first. The world feels safest when he has time to observe and figure things out at his own pace. With patience, consistency, and gentle encouragement, you'll see his walls slowly come down &#194&#151 and that's when the magic happens. Once Rusty warms up, he absolutely loves attention from his people. Soft pets and gentle affection mean everything to him. The connection you build with Rusty won't be surface-level &#194&#151 it will be the kind rooted in trust and loyalty. He's dog friendly and enjoys the company of other pups, which can help him continue building confidence. He's also discovering the joy of toys and learning how to play &#194&#151 watching him figure it out and let loose is incredibly rewarding. Rusty is looking for a steady heart and a peaceful home where he can continue to grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be. If you're willing to give him the time he needs, he'll give you a bond like no other. If you are interested in rusty, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.orgMarch 7, 2026, 6:25 pm

Story
Levi is a stunning solid-black German Shepherd with beauty, brains, and a whole lot of love to give! If you can throw it, Levi will chase it! She absolutely loves playing fetch and is a total pro at catching. She has been working with a trainer on learning to “out” her toy on command, and she’s doing fantastic. This smart girl loves having a job to do and is eager to keep learning. When playtime is over, Levi is all about her people. She adores her humans and isn’t shy about showing it—you can expect plenty of leaning against you, cuddles, and even full-on Levi hugs! Levi is dog selective, so any potential canine siblings will need slow, thoughtful introductions to make sure everyone is comfortable. She will need a cat-free home, as cats are just a little too tempting to chase. Levi would love a family who appreciates the intelligence and loyalty of a German Shepherd and will continue giving her the structure, exercise, and love she thrives on.
