All Hail Dutchess! This 46lb royal beauty has had quite a life already, and it hasn`t all been a fairy tale! Dutchess was adopted from us a few years ago, and was shockingly found in the wild streets of a faraway land; Illinois! And they found her with her adopted brother Tucker! Thanks to wonderful people all across the land, they made their way back to us, as their former owners sadly did not want them back.Thankfully, Tucker has found his happy ending in his forever home, but sweet Dutchess is still wishing for hers. She is friendly, lovely, and a lot of fun! Dutchess would love a home where she has lots to do, and then a big warm bed to curl up in. Dutchess is a mighty lady, and very strong on a leash; she will need an owner that can handle her might! She does well with most other dogs but should not be in a home with small animals, so as to not overwhelm them. Dutchess needs a hero to save her and she is now ready for her next adventure, and hopefully it`ll be the last chapter. Mack is not built like a truck, but at 55lbs, he`s a large dog with an even bigger heart! He can be a bit nervous when meeting a new person, but if you give him a chance, he is the sweetest, smartest boy. He knows commands like `Sit` and `Shake`, and loves to play and go on long walks.He isn`t the biggest fan of being kenneled, and he will be pretty vocal about it! Mack needs a home with a lot of space to roam, and of course a very secure yard is a must for him. Mack also needs to be an only pet in the household, so if you`re someone looking for just one dog to be your big snuggle buddy, then Mack is Born Ready to be you forever friend. Depend on it! Chuck is the man! At only 11lbs, Chuck has the hutzpah of a dog three times his size! He came from a hoarding situation/house fire and is extremely nervous and cautious around people, but finds himself more comfortable around dogs his size, as he came to us with a couple of housemates. Now that he`s on his own, it`s going take him a bit of time to trust, as he came to us from that rough situation. But Chuck IS smart, and with training and treats, it should be easy for him to learn, and he may benefit from learning from a confident dog that knows all the ways to be a good pup. So we highly recommend he go into a home with another dog to be his buddy. If you have another dog, we highly recommend bringing them along to meet, and see how they do together. Chuck just needs a chance to prove what a great little guy he can be! (Chuck will require multiple meet and greets to ensure he is comfortable with his new adopters.) Say hello to our handsome senior boy Skip, who is one of our long-term dogs that has been with us for far too long! This 55lb black lab mix is just as sweet as they come, and has an adorable smile to match! Skip LOVES to play fetch, and chompin` on chew toys. He also loves to play with kids, but can be a bit rambunctious, so his forever home would be best with kids that are comfortable around large dogs. And speaking of his size, Skip needs a home with a large, very secure fence, because his one big flaw is he`s reactive to other animals. This means he cannot go on walks because of it, and he must go into a home where he`s the only dog. And if he was to go anywhere, he is STRONG, and needs a person who can handle his might! That could be a big deal breaker for many, but if you`re someone who`s looking for a lovably large lapdog you can be playful homebodies with, and avoid going on walks, then Skip is your man! This sweet boy has been with us for far too long, and he just needs someone with a heart as big as his to give him his chance. You honestly don`t want to SKIP out on him.
