Photo of Loki

Loki

Anatolian Shepherd Great Pyrenees

Male, Adult
Corrales, NM
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, House-trained,
Story
Loki is one of two brothers we kept from his litter (we also own Mama). He is sweet and loving with his family, but very protective/ territorial. He is playful and high energy and wants to be near his family at all times. Loki is quick to obey commands and loves all kinds of treats. We often give him bits of our leftovers, which he loves. When outside (within gated yard), Loki feels very protective of his area and will bark at people, cars, and animals. He also barks inside when family is not home. Loki is having a hard time with our downsize to a much smaller space (small house, but still big yard). He normally gets along with our 3 other dogs, but has recently been getting in fights with his brother over space in the house. We love Loki and are very sad our new space isn't a good fit for him. We think he would do very well in a more rural home. His breed is made as protectors for herds (ie goats), but he is already 3.5 years, so we're not sure how he'd do with that.

Carmen

American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, Adult
Rio Rancho, NM
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Carmen is one of the Ranch's long-time residences who is yet to find her forever home. She can be very shy when it comes to meeting new people and likes to approach people at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she will want to be around you all the time! She loooves water and enjoys standing around in the kiddie pools to cool off in the summer. She is a little selective about the dogs she enjoys being around and tends to prefer the company of submissive females. She would do best in a home without kids and a tall fence since she has some incredible "hops".Come meet Carmen at the Main Ranch Location. For further information email dogswmr@gmail.com

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Skip is a handsome lab/pit mix who would love to meet you! He has a great smile, which spreads across his cute face when you give him pets or throw his ball. He is affectionate and endearing and loves to play! He is very strong on a leash and will pull especially hard if there is something to chase (like a rabbit). Skip is very picky about canine friends, so a doggie companion would need to be a specific match - most likely a large dog who is calm, confident, and keeps to themselves. 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀: 12+ yrs, he likes to roughhouse 𝗗𝗼𝗴𝘀: highly selective𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘀: not a good fitHe can be seen at the main ranch facility. For further inquiry please email dogswmr@gmail.com

Story
Nicholas is a long-term shelter resident, and absolute staff favorite. He's stunningly beautiful, very charming, affectionate, and he walks well on a leash. He LOVES the water: whether he's playing in a kiddie pool or playing at the lake, he enjoys splashing around. He also loves to play with his toys and balls and likes to parade them around and show you how proud he is. He requires a tall fence and very secure yard. Nicholas does need to be an only dog as he needs all of his future adopter's attention.Come meet Nicholas at the Main Ranch Location! If you need further information, please email dogswmr@gmail.com

Jack Jack

Australian Kelpie

Male, Young
Rio Rancho, NM
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jack Jack is a medium sized super high energy doggo that loves to run and play! He is people selective and loves to protect his family. Because he tends to get very attached, he would need a home where someone is there for me 24/7. He prefers females as he is more comfortable with them, so he would need to go slow when meeting males. He is great with other dogs and would love to have a playmate. He also loves to play in water, so a small dog pool is preferred!! He is definitely still a puppy at heart and gets incredibly fast zoomies! He would do best in a home where he can be very active and play as long as he wants! He would also do best in a home with older children and adults since he is very high energy. If you are looking for a hiking buddy, a running buddy or just a very active playmate he would be the perfect fit for you!He can be found at the main ranch location. Remington

American Pit Bull Terrier Shar Pei

Male, Adult
Rio Rancho, NM
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Remington is a playful and boisterous puppy-at-heart. He would love to find an active home with large dog experience. He's been yearning for a home for a very long time. He is great with people, but his enthusiasm and energy might make him a best fit for children 12 years or older. He is dog selective; the best match would be a medium to large, mellow dog that doesn't overwhelm him. He is very sweet and loves life. Remington would thrive from walks with his owner and a balanced diet. He is cat reactive, so a home with a cat would not be ideal. He can be see at the main ranch location.
