Story
Axel is a one year old Australian shepherd/pit mix. He has high energy, and needs someone who has the time to take him for regular exercise and training. He was dropped at our door at 8 am one day and we have since been working with him on potty training, socialization and discipline. He is great with kids but not other animals. He uses a crate inside, is good on a cable and in a kennel outside. Very high energy. He is okay with our German shepherd inside and outside but needs a new home as we can not afford a food/vet bill for two dogs and four kids. Serious inquiry’s only. Adoption fee can be waived. We just want to see this boy live a good life that we can’t provide to him.

Story
9.5 Years Old Altered Male 80 pounds Up to date on shots Free feeds - Does not over eat dog food. Food Motivated Currently walks the beach 3-5 times per week 1.5-3 miles. Healthy. Trained and worked with prong collar as he was a hunt dog in his first life. Service dog in his second. Has aversion to small dogs as we have been accosted in public settings by them. Hates thunder, the mail truck, the UPS/Amazon/Fedex truck. Gets loud around big farm animals but has never harmed any. Used to allow the flock of 20 Guinea Hens at my sister’s farm to wander about around him when he would be on his lead in the yard. Has an aversion to hats/hoods/sunglasses combinations, especially males, so he tends to posture more. He has always done well with children of all ages, with the exception of food… food and children and tables and the battle of wits always shows a slobbery hound jaw slowly trying to take food from a cranky toddler 😂 He knows his commands well but he will find your limits

ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     5m old Ace & his brother Goose from Puerto Rico are bonded & we would love to keep them together, They are very sweet & love playing outside.    All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy  facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. She’s extra cuddly and wants to sit next to people. She is definitely a lap dog. If you let her, she will sit on you. She loves people, dogs, and cats. She has energy and loves to run around and play with toys. She enjoys playing with toys with other dogs too (pulling ropes). Overall a sweet girl that would make a great family pet. She can do everything a 4 legged dog can. Bianca is Currently living with 5 dogs and a cat in a small apartment. She's a sweet quiet dog that deserves her own family that will never abandon hef again. She wants a family that will give her love and attention. History: Bianca was abandoned in a isolated street outside Tirana because of a swollen leg she had. We found her and couldn't leave her as there was no food or shelter for miles. We took her to the vet and Her severally infected leg was amputated. We tested for all other dieseses and everything came back negative &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143After spending a month in the clinic to recover. We felt sorry for her and brought her in to our home. But unfortunately with all the foster dogs we have. There is currently no more space in our small area of living.
