Adoption fee is $130 which includes spay/neuter, combo, rabies, and bordetella vaccines, heartworm test and dog license. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.)

Hello! My name is Pepper! I have been here since November of 2025. I was found as a stray and was very skinny when I first arrived, I had to be put on a special feeding plan to get healthy again. I've gotten much healthier, bigger, and stronger since then. I have learned lots of new things while I've been here: I learned I love stuffed toys and treats! I also like playing tug, meeting new people, and other dogs. I also learned I do not like cats. Now that I've got a new leash on life, I do everything at 100%! I'm very enthusiastic and happy-go-lucky, I want to explore and say hi to everyone! As such, sometimes I do need a firm reminder to mind my manners and greet and play politely. I learn quickly, and I can't wait to get my own person where I can learn more!

My name is Boone and I have been at the shelter since 2024. I am considered a senior, but don't let that fool you- I can still get going when I want to! I love to play chase or fetch in the run, and my favorite thing of all is a walk. I do very well on the leash and have excellent manners. My favorite toys are squeaky balls and stuffed squeaky toys- although the stuffed squeaky toys never seem to last long around me. I have been to lots of events and places in my time here and am always a superstar. I love meeting people and do well in the car too. I'm ready to hop in one and ride away from here! I am very affectionate, too, I like belly rubs and like to lean against you. I am a "people person" and have never met a stranger! I'll get right in your lap and enjoy cuddles. When it comes to other dogs, though, I like things my way and I'm old enough that I've earned the right not to share! I would like to have a place - and a person- that's all my own.
