Story
This is Roxy. Roxy is incredibly sweet and adores all people, and meeting new friends. She likes cuddling, butt scratches, and tug of war. I'm looking for someone who can spend more time with her than I can and help her get out of the house and better tend to her needs. A fenced in yard would be best. She loves running in open spaces (and has the best smile while she does), and visiting the dog parks, and I would really like her to have those opportunities. Someone who can be active WITH HER and attentive to her would be ideal, even though she does well on lazy days with you at home. After life and job changes I live alone and do not have the time give her what I feel she deserves. She does have bad habits, mostly because I'm not with her enough to enforce manners. She jumps on new people to say hello, she is a counter surfer, will pull you while on leash, and to be honest, she farts a lot. She does sit well, takes treats gently, and will let you know when she needs to go outside.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rylon’s adoption donation is $375 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio.  He has been neutered, micro chipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella, tested negative for heartworm and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning with extractions. Rylon (aka Milo) was adopted from us almost 10 years ago and recently returned because his person passed away. He has adjusted well to rescue. He loves to go for walks, but his favorite thing is his people.  Rylon does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule.  He loves his people, but he somewhat gravitates toward men, as his previous owner was a man.   He is currently in a home with several other foster dogs and doing well and is not bothered by cats. He is truly a gem and his Easter wish is he has a new home to enjoy the summer with.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  March 27, 2024, 12:00 pm

Jessa requires a home a secure, physically fenced yard. Jessa came into rescue when she was no longer of use to her puppy mill breeder. She has made incredible progress in rescue. Jessa will require a loving and patient home to help her continue to build her confidence as she learns what it's like to be a dog. Jessa does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule and does well on a leash with some gently coaxing. Jessa is all about being around her people but she is very easy going. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Gizzy's adoption donation is $400 and she is being fostered in the Central Ohio area.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention as well as flea prevention.  Gizzy has also had a dental cleaning. Gizzy came into rescue through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her dogs. She loves to find a cozy spot on a blanket or a pillow on the couch. At night, she likes to be tucked up next to her person. Gizzy is all about her people and loves to sleep right next to you in bed and is very curious about where you are going and what you are doing. She is doing well with other dogs but can get a little bossy and make her point known so a home where she is the only dog would be ok but not the only option. We believe that she would love to be the center of attention for someone who works from home, retired or home quite a lot. Gizzy is pee pad trained but has made great progress on learning to potty outside if kept on a schedule. She has not been tested around cats or kids but she shows no sign of aggression at all.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dawn’s adoption donation is $475 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. Dawn requires a home with a strong vet history. Dawn came into rescue from a local shelter after her stray hold was up. She has made amazing progress in rescue and loves attention from her people. Dawn does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule and enjoys going for walks. She does well on a leash. Dawn was neglected prior to rescue and we've gotten her ready for adoption with the help of our vet. She does have some seasonal allergies, so a home with a strong vet history is required. Dawn gets along with just about everyone she meets, two-legged and four-legged and she would love to be in her new home to enjoy the warmer weather.
