Story
Oliver, aka Ollipop, is an energetic 8-year-old long-haired dachshund who is on the hunt for his forever home. Oliver might be heading into his senior years, but he has the boundless energy of a young pup! He has been nonstop in his foster home - jumping on and off of furniture with ease and running circles around his foster brothers. He has a sweet temperament and won’t take no for an answer when it comes to giving kisses (whether you like it or not!). He has learned to love playing with his foster brothers and would do well in a home with a tolerant dog who will continue his education on “how to dog.”  Oliver has had challenges with potty training and will need a very patient family that will stick with a routine that sets him up for success. While he’s making strides every day, his forever family will need to understand that his lifelong habits will not change overnight. While Oliver loves to take walks, he gets a little upset when he sees other dogs or humans on his route. His reactivity isn’t insurmountable, but it will require some training to curb so he can feel secure and confident taking walks and encountering new friends.  Oliver has shown some nervousness around children and might prefer a home without children, or with older children who have had experience with dogs and know to give him space when he needs it.  While there are some hurdles to hop with this little dachshund, with love and a patient home, he will settle into being a beloved member of a family in no time. Oliver weighs 14 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. His adoption fee is $300. Ready to Meet Oliver? Story
Meet Noelle! Noelle is a 19-pound Cavapoo who was born 10/19/20. She came to us around Christmas time from a puppy mill. Despite the life she endured, she possesses a sweet and gentle personality. She is happy to love everyone she meets. Noelle requires a fenced yard. She walks well on a leash, but absolutely will not potty on one. She grew up in a place where they had doggy doors and could run outside to potty, so she has never had to potty while on a leash. She keeps her kennel clean at the rescue, but will need an adjustment period to settle into a new outside routine. She loves kids, dogs, and cats. She is a little shy at first, but once she settles in, she is all snuggles and personality. Adoption fee: $400 Place an application to be considered to adopt Noelle. https://www.safeharboranimalrescue.org/application

Story
Meet Zenna! Zenna is a 1-year-old female German Shepherd mix! She weighs 48 pounds, but we suspect still has some filling out to do. Zenna totally has a German Shepherd personality and a big bark. She is crate-trained and potty-trained. She was rescued from an Ohio pound and came to us with a lack of understanding of rules and boundaries. Foster mom and family have worked very hard to instill rules and boundaries. She is young and still learning, so she will need someone to continue to work with her and be willing to take her to a trainer. We are looking for an active person or family with large breed dog experience. She loves other dogs, but can be a lot for them to handle, so they need to be good at playing! She is good with kids, but unfortunately, she does not care who is standing in her way and will plow you down, so we are looking for a home with kids over 8. She will chase the cats if they run from her, but she is not being aggressive; she just wants them to play with her. If the cats don't run, she doesn't chase. She will also be good as an only dog as long as you are willing to entertain her. She is gogogo, but will eventually settle down into a routine. Adoption Fee: $400 Place an application to be considered to adopt our girl Zenna! Her DNA result is also included in her photos! https://www.safeharboranimalrescue.org/application

Story
Meet Daisy! Daisy is a 5 and a half year old female spaniel mix. Daisy unexpectedly lost her mommy last year, and now daddy has to go into a nursing home! This girl was the apple of their eye, and now needs a new momma and daddy to love her! She is crate trained, potty trained, and good with cats, dogs, and kids. Daisy weighs approximately 36 pounds, but probably should weigh closer to 30. Her mom loved to sneak her treats and blame it on dad. Daisy is an amazing dog and can't wait for someone to treat her like the princess she is! Adoption fee: $400 Place an application to adopt Daisy!!! https://www.safeharboranimalrescue.org/application

Story
Meet Emery! Emery is a 4-year-old Shiba Inu who came to us from an Amish puppy mill. She is working on learning how to be a dog outside of the kennel life and would love someone to help her adjust. She is house-trained and crate-trained, but will need an adjustment period like most dogs. She can be particular with other dogs, so a meet and greet and slow introduction are a must. She would also be happy as an only dog. Adoption fee: $400 Place an app to be considered to adopt Emery. https://www.safeharboranimalrescue.org/application
