Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Vinny — Your Tiny Shadow With a Huge Personality! At just under four pounds, Vinny may be teeny, teeny tiny, but don't tell him that! This little guy has enough personality, love, and charm packed into his pint-sized body to fill a much bigger dog. Affectionately known as "My Cousin Vinny," this happy-go-lucky boy loves being wherever his people are. If you're looking for a dog who will be your constant companion, Vinny is your guy. He specializes in snuggling, giving kisses, and finding creative ways to stay as close to you as possible. His favorite place in the world? Curled up around your neck, tucked against your chest, or burrowed under the covers beside you. Vinny is a cheerful, goofy little fellow who approaches life with enthusiasm. He enjoys walks, loves car rides, and takes his job as co-pilot very seriously. He gets along well with other dogs and is always trying to convince them to join in his fun, playful antics. Whether he's exploring the yard, supervising household activities, or soaking up belly rubs, Vinny is happiest when he's included in the action. Because of his exceptionally tiny size, Vinny's ideal home will be one where everyone can be mindful of just how small he is. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children and adults who can safely navigate around a little dog who is often underfoot and eager to be part of everything you're doing. His forever family should appreciate that tiny dogs require a little extra awareness and protection, but Vinny more than makes up for it with his oversized personality and endless affection. Vinny is making progress with his house-training and is learning household routines. He thrives on consistency, attention, and lots of love. In return, he'll reward his family with endless kisses, laughter, companionship, and more cuddles than you ever thought possible from a dog his size. If you're looking for a devoted little sidekick with a huge heart, a goofy sense of humor, and a strong belief that personal space is overrated, Vinny may be the perfect addition to your family. Vinny's adoption donation is $550 and he is being fostered in the North Central Ohio area. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, received flea prevention, and had a dental cleaning.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  August 13, 2026, 3:51 pm

Story
Meet Annie Mae! 💕Those eyes! Annie Mae is an 25 lb pound puppy with gorgeous markings and some of the most mesmerizing eyes we've seen. The vet estimates she is 5 months old. Her paperwork calls her a Husky mix, although we see quite a bit of Hound in that sweet face and those floppy ears. Whatever her mix, she is one beautiful girl!Annie Mae is a friendly, curious puppy who loves attention and wants to be part of whatever is going on. She recently headed out for a car ride and vet visit and handled her outing beautifully. She's sweet, social and already showing signs that she could grow up to be a wonderful adventure buddy. Whether it's heading out for a walk, hopping in the car joining her people for a day out, Annie Mae seems like the kind of pup who will be happy just about anywhere as long as she's included. She recently handled her vet outing like a champ and was even wonderful about having her nails trimmed — pretty impressive for such a young pup! She's also discovered one of the great joys of summer — the baby pool! Annie Mae loves splashing around and cooling off in the water. At about 5 months old and 25 pounds, Annie Mae still has some growing to do, although exactly where she'll land is anybody's guess with a mixed-breed pup! If you're looking for a sweet, social puppy with an adventurous spirit, a curious nature and a pair of eyes that are very hard to resist, come meet Annie Mae! Apply at caninecollective.org.

Story
Meet Stella 🤍Stella is a 49-pound bundle of charm with soulful brown eyes, a golden coat, and the kind of sweet personality that wins people over almost immediately. Around 4 years old, we believe she may be part hound, part Lab, and 100% sweetheart.Stella originally came to Canine Collective after being transferred from a county dog pound due to an eviction—through no fault of her own. During her time with us, she underwent ACL surgery and spent her recovery in our private annex. We're happy to say Stella is now fully recovered and ready to start the next chapter of her life!Stella has spent time in a home and did wonderfully. She'd be happy with a fenced backyard where she can get outside and exercise, or with people who enjoy taking their dog on nice long walks. Either would suit Stella just fine—and both would be even better!Stella absolutely adores people and thrives on attention. Booty scratches are one of her favorite things in the world, and she never turns down a tasty treat. She's highly food motivated, already knows "sit" and "shake," and loves showing off her good manners. She enjoys toys, chew bones, leisurely walks, and plenty of opportunities to stop and investigate interesting smells. Whether she's out exploring or relaxing beside her favorite person, Stella is simply happy to be included. Stella has been friendly with other Canine Collective dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion, though a meet-and-greet is recommended. Most of all, she's looking for a family that will appreciate her sweet nature and give her the love she so readily gives in return.Stella has been waiting since January, and after ACL surgery and a full recovery, she's more than ready for a change of scenery and a family of her own. Whether you'd like to give Stella a temporary break from kennel life or think she might be your forever girl, we'd love to hear from you. Interested in fostering or adopting Stella? Apply at caninecollective.org.

Story
Meet Tapioca!Tapioca is a 8 year old, 55 pound mixed breed male dog looking for a home! Tapioca is a very sweet and social boy who loves his people and will always get excited to see you. Don`t be fooled by the fact that he has one eye and he`s on the older side, he can still romp and play with his favorite squeaky toys and tennis balls! Tapioca has moments of showing his age, but he is definitely still spry and is ready to play for the rest of his senior life!If there are dogs are in Tapioca`s forever home, he would likely need a very chill, mellow dog to meet his ideal canine friendship! He doesn`t necessary want to wrestle and tussle much anymore with dog friends, instead, his best friend should be comfortable just hanging out in the same room as him! At this time, we do not know how Tapioca does with cats. Due to some initial sensitives, we would recommend any kids in Tapioca`s forever home be 13+ to make him feel more comfortable and confident in his forever home!Interested in helping Tapioca break out of the shelter and spend his senior life on the couch for all the naps in the world? Call us at 330-487-0333 ext 803 or stop in- Tapioca is waiting to lay his older bones down and relax!

Story
Meet Ruby Tuesday! Ruby Tuesday is a 5 year old female Staffordshire Terrier mix looking for a calm and patient home! Ruby tends to be shy at first meet, but with snacks, gentle voices, and patience, she just might be the perfect fit for your family!Once comfortable, she is a true lovebug who would be perfectly content with lots of love.. and treats of course! We can already see her snuggling up on the couch with the amazing humans that gave her the time to show what an absolute sweetheart she can be! Ruby shows potential with dogs that may be in her forever home, but she`s very conflicted at first. Because of this, we request that her adopters take any introductions to dogs nice and slow, giving Ruby and your resident dog(s) the ability to be 100% comfortable in each others presence! At this time, we are unsure how she does with cats. Due to her initial sensitivities, we believe any children in Ruby Tuesday`s forever home should be 13+ so they can give her the space she needs when she requests it! Interested in helping Ruby Tuesday open up and blossom into a goofy, loveable girl? Call us at 330-487-0333 ext 803 or stop in- Ruby is waiting!

Story
Meet Gazpacho! Gazpacho is a 2 year old pit bull mix who`s ready to play all day! This sweet boy weighs in at 65 pounds, but he believes every pound of him is a lap dog! He is a very social boy who enjoys soaking up all the attention, accepting all the pets in the world. While Gazpacho is incredibly social, he needs someone dedicated to helping him be a well mannered boy in the future. We`ve been making progress, but he definitely still has tons of puppy energy that needs to be expelled and worked through! He loves any and all types of toys, and thinks everyone is his best friend after only meeting them once! When it comes to dogs, Gazpacho definitely shows potential but he comes in a little hot and gets uncomfortable easily. If there are any dogs in his forever family, we ask that you do very slow, thoughtful intros to ensure that both he and future canine friends are completely comfortable in his forever home! At this time, we`re unsure how he`ll do with cats. Interested in helping Gazpacho be the most perfect boy? Call us at 330-487-0333 ext 803 or stop in- Gazpacho is ready to romp around with squeaky toys in a home of his very own!
