Story
We are looking to rehome one of our dogs Argo. She is three years old and was great with our kids. Argo does not get along with our 20 pound Maltese poodle and is very territorial in general. She will protect a house and an owner, that is for sure. She is also in constant need of attention and has major anxiety when left alone for long periods of time. She is an extremely beautiful dog and very loving to us but we think she will do best in a single-pet home and an owner who is willing to train her, walk her and give her undivided attention. We just do not have space or time for her. She is a lab shepherd mix. We just do NOT want her to go to a shelter.

Story
Saturday, February 8th, we got a call from a man desperate and overwhelmed. He had been hospitalized and, while he was away, allowed an acquaintance who was facing homelessness to stay in his apartment. When he returned home, he was met with an abandoned dog and two cats - left behind with not a single drop of food or water. She told him she wasnt coming backand that she didnt want the pets.To make matters worse, he doesnt own a car, and his landlord told him the animals had to be gone by Monday. He was left with two impossible choices: lose his apartment or open the door and turn them out.Huge thanks to Colony Cats & Dogs for stepping up immediately and agreeing to take in the 2 wonderful catsone of whom is suffering from severe flea dermatitis. After dropping off the cats, we went straight to the vetvaccines updated, flea/tick prevention started, and a much-needed nail trim. Then I did what we always do I begged our foster group. And they said yes. Welcome Bain to Rico Pet Recovery! Bain loves affection, is doing wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and his tail hasnt stopped wagging. He refuses to let his new foster dad sit on the couch alone, hasnt barked once, and did great when left by himself.Bain will be neutered soon and is already proving himself to be an incredible family dog. We believe he was loved, but as weve said beforeDesperate people to desperate things.Hell be neutered soon so you can apply to meet Bain at ricopetrecovery.org Adoption fee is $250He is 2 yrs old and 48 pounds. Beagle mix.

Story
Looking for a young pup who’s figuring out the good life? Beau Jangles is a rat terrier born June 2025, and currently weighs about 17 lbs. Beau entered foster care due to a mismatch in his previous home, which included a cat and a young child. Beau is an active, observant, and food-motivated boy who enjoys walks, enrichment toys, and spending time with his people. He’s learning house manners and is making steady progress with house-training, including staying accident-free overnight. Beau can be a little shy at first, but warms up with calm handling and routine. Beau has interacted with dogs of a similar size without issue. Like many young terriers, he has a high activity level, and he’s still learning to keep his mouth to toys, so he does best in a home without young children. Beau’s ideal home would also be cat-free and ready to provide structure, patience, and ongoing training as he continues to build confidence and settle into family life. Story
I’m Haze! I was born outside with my siblings where my mom kept us alive the best that she could. When we were found and brought to the shelter, I was the smallest of them all and was completely lethargic. I went straight to rescue and they saved my life! I’m now thriving and as big as my siblings! I’m playful and sweet, lots of spunk. I can’t wait to find my forever.

Story
300 cash Meet Elvis, an 8-year-old, approximately 16-pound Yorkie/Bichon mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people.  Elvis loves playing fetch with his spiky balls and will bring them right back until he’s worn out. He also enjoys walks, Nylabones, sunbathing, and long naps on the couch—especially if he can be curled up next to you. Belly and chest scratches are his favorite, and he’ll happily return the love with kisses. He is fully house trained, sleeps in his crate all night without potty breaks, and does well being home alone during a typical workday. Elvis goes outside on a leash and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He may bark at door knockers or the mailman, but settles quickly and is friendly. Elvis would do best in a home with adults only. Adoption is $250 which includes his spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.All animals are up to date on age appropriate shots, microchipped and fixed. To meet one of our animals we require an approved application. You can fill one out at https://tobyscrittercoverescue.org/adoptionapp/ February 8, 2026, 7:38 pm
