Story

We adopted Sadie a week before we found out that my wife was pregnant. Had we known, we would have made a better decision and unfortunately now we are struggling with balancing the puppy and my wife's pregnancy. Sadie is an amazing dog, she is just young and still learning. She sleeps through the night and is beginning to get better at being in the crate. We can leave for 2-3 hours if needed and there are no accidents. She is very friendly and smart and is potty trained with the exception of some minor accidents here and there.

RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.
