Story
Cooper is a great family dog! He is estimated to be 11 years old but is happy and healthy. He is great with our young children, house trained but does best if left in a kennel for long periods. He is a great watch dog and can be very vocal in a new environment. Cooper can be very protective over his food with other dogs but is okay when our one year old eats out of his bowl. He does not require a lot of attention and often likes to be a lone wolf when left in his own environment with his people. He is so sweet and loving and will be greatly missed by our family. Unfortunately due to our daughter’s respiratory issues we cannot have the extra allergens in our home.

Story
Koda is a 2-year-old, all black German Shepherd. Closely bonded with his adoptive brother, Kai (white shepherd pictured) whom we would love to place in a home with Koda, if possible. He has been with us since he was 2 months old, in the same home as Kai along with two cats whom he gets along with great. He has been around infants and children and does very well, he is house broken, crate trained, and knows many commands (sit, center, wait, L/R spin, etc.) He has never been the aggressor but is reactive when tested by another male dog, shows fear-based aggression with people when fed and caged, but never bites. VERY high energy and anxious. Kai has separate listing with info. They are wonderful dogs who I love deeply with all my heart and soul, it is with a heavy heart that I make this post. Please consider adoption carefully and understand that it requires a lot of time and effort to provide the kind of life he deserves. I hope he can make you as happy as he has made my family and me.

Story
Kai is a 2-year-old, all white, full blood German Shepherd. Closely bonded with his adoptive brother, Koda (black shepherd pictured) whom we would love to place in a home with Kai, if possible. He has been with us since he was 2 months old, in the same home as Koda along with two cats whom he gets along with fantastically. He has been around infants and children and does very well, he is house broken, crate trained, and knows all basic commands (sit, wait, paw, lay down, etc.). He isn't reactive, has never shown aggression, and ultimately has no behavioral issues apart from chewing things up on occasion. Koda is listed for rehoming as well with all of his information. They are wonderful dogs who I love deeply with all my heart and soul, it is with a heavy heart that I make this post. Please consider adoption carefully and understand that it requires a lot of time and effort to provide the kind of life he deserves. I hope he can make you as happy as he has made my family and me.

Story
Rehoming our very sweet, approximately seven year old, Chihuahua. We are rehoming because we are not home enough, and she hast to be caged due to accidents in the home when not home. The cage causes her a lot of anxiety and she has been having episodes of vomit due to the stress of being in a cage. She would do best in a home with adults who are home most of the time. She does not have accidents in the home when being able to consistently let her out. She doesn’t have accidents on the weekends when we are home most of the time. She would do best in a home with other dogs! She thrives in situations where other dogs are present. It is unknown how she reacts to cats. She is great with both of my very young kids and is a very gentle, loving dog.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Harper's adoption donation is $550 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, started on prevention as well as flea prevention.  Harper came into rescue through no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her. She has adjusted very well and is such a happy girl. Harper said there is no such thing as a bad day when you can get pets and treats. She is doing well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. Harper loves walks on a leash and does well with other dogs but is fine as an only dog as well. The perfect home for her will be an active home to keep her engaged and no children under the age of 8-10 years due to her small size.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  May 8, 2024, 9:20 am
