Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jonah's adoption donation is $550 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines and started on heartworm prevention, as well as flea prevention. Jonah requires a companion dog of similar size and energy as well as a securely fenced yard. Jonah came into rescue through no fault of his own from a private owner who could no longer care for him. He is a sweet and loving little boy, and he loves running and climbing and doing all sorts of puppy things. Like all puppies, Jonah is inquisitive and loves to learn. Even though Jonah is active, he has a very laid-back personality. He loves to be loved on and snuggled. Another dog of similar size and activity is required for him. Jonah is still learning to accept a leash so a secured fenced in yard is also necessary. He is doing well on potty training if kept on a schedule. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  November 29, 2023, 12:47 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rylon’s adoption donation is $375 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio.  He has been neutered, micro chipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella, tested negative for heartworm and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning with extractions. Rylon was adopted from us almost 10 years and recently returned because his person passed away. He has adjusted well to rescue. He loves to go for walks, but his favorite thing is belly rubs! Rylon does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. He loves his people but he gravitates toward men which he definitely prefers. He is currently in a home with several other foster dogs and doing well and is not bothered by cats. Rylon does need an experienced home because he is sensitive about being picked up, but he is truly a gem and his Christmas wish is that he has a new home to celebrate the holidays. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Moxie’s adoption donation is $550 and she is being fostered in the Central, Ohio area.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella, tested negative for heartworm and started on prevention as well as flea prevention. Moxie requires a home with a fenced yard and a playful K9 companion. We will only consider applications who meet this requirement.  Moxie is a black & white Shih tzu who came into the rescue through no fault of her own. She is a tad shy at first but she has made incredible progress in rescue and is really starting to flourish in her foster home. Moxie likes people but women in particularly and definitely prefers playing with other dogs most of all.  She has discovered paper and loves to rip it up and is engaging in play with her foster sibs. When she isn’t playing with toys AKA paper, you can find her sleeping usually behind a chair or by your feet.  Moxie acclimates at her own pace. Once she has settled in with her peeps, she will love you SO MUCH and become your shadow.  A quieter home with a fenced yard is preferred to help continue her progress so no children under the age of 12.   Moxie is a young pup so she is very playful and she learning that snuggling isn’t a bad thing.  Moxie is doing well with her potty skills if kept on a schedule. I love fostering her, but she is ready to find her furever home where she will be spoiled rotten!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sandra Dee’s adoption donation is $425 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning with multiple extractions. Sandra Dee requires a home with a secure, physically fenced yard, a companion dog of similar size/energy and a strong veterinary history. Sandra Dee came into rescue from a seizure by the Richland County Humane Society. She is learning that people can be kind and that good things come from them like treats. She is slowly getting over her fears and will come when she hears the dog treat bag being opened. Sandy did have a number of teeth removed during her dental cleaning and she has recovered and we have kept her on a soft diet, which she loves. A patient and understanding home will be needed for Sandy to continue her progress. She looks to the companion dog for cues on how to react and definitely follows their lead. Sandy does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. She is still learning to walk on a leash so that is why a fenced yard is required for her own safety at this time.
