Story
Meet Beckham! Beckham is a lean, tall, athletic pup who’s ready to find his perfect home. At 11 months old, this Border Collie/McNab mix still has some growing left to do (currently 46.4 lbs). He has a lovely smooth coat, and a clean bill of health (neutered, UTD on vaccinations and parasite control, plus microchipped). Beckham is quickly learning to trust people and with deliberate/dog knowledgeable socialization the sky is the limit for what he can accomplish. He is less and less nervous about new/quick/loud things as he gets more exposure. He’s done well with a confident housecat and truly loves other dogs of all kinds. His foster will try to find an opportunity to introduce him to some little people soon to see how he feels about kids. Beckham would thrive best in a home with other confident/balanced dogs as a model for correct behavior. Stock animals haven’t been very interesting so far, but as he gains confidence, he shows some excitement about horses across the fence. He will need continued guidance on appropriate behavior as he learns about the big-wide world and what his roll will be for his new family. Activity will be an important part of his maturing because of his busy mind and exercise needs. Beckham is excellent on a leash and is newly learning about taking walks around town distractions. He is a quiet traveler in the crate and starting to like car rides. So far there have been no bathroom accidents in the house, but he is carefully monitored indoors and spends some of the day outside. He is currently being crated at night in the house. This guy is learning about toys and focusing on appropriate items to chew on… he will dig in loose footing but hasn’t offered to make any holes in established lawn. Beckham’s previous foster said that he was fine to bathe, and he has done well to trim his nails. This quiet pup hasn’t had much exposure to obedience type cues but is absolutely treat driven and would quickly learn commands for higher value snacks. He is very gentle, taking food from your hand. He has fair recall and is continuing to improve. His original home was rural, so city life would be a learning curve, but possible with enough activity. Announcing Saturday! Why Saturday? Because she is a party girl! Saturday is an approximately 10-week-old herding mix; likely a mix of cattle dog, border collie, McNab, and ? Saturday is very people oriented and loves to cuddle. But don’t let that fool you - she’s no couch potato! Saturday is very active and would love a big yard to be able to romp and play - better yet, a large ranch or farm property. Are you ready to take on a very young, active puppy and train it up to be the best dog ever? Are you a person who loves the outdoors and spends a lot of time with your dog going on adventures? If so, then Saturday may be the pup for you! Saturday is being fostered in Powell Butte, Oregon. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been wormed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400. Story
Meet Tango! Active young Border Collie boy looking for adventure. Tango is smart, athletic, and lots of fun. He really wants a job. Perhaps that is as your trail running partner or hiking buddy. Tango would probably love to learn dog sports like agility. Tango’s recall is good, but he will thrive with additional training. His original home was in the city. He didn’t get much exercise and spent a lot of time in a crate. He struggled with some typical puppy behaviors such as jumping up, digging, and chewing. In his foster home, he has had more room to run and play with his foster’s dogs. He likes the females but is not a fan of her male dog. He loves to play in the water. He has also been learning to leave horses alone! Tango wants to please. Will you be part of Tango’s next adventure? Breed: Border Collie Age: 9 months Weight: 42.4 lbs Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Dog friendly: Yes with females. Not with foster’s male. Original owner said good with dogs. Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Does well with middle school age children. Other ages unknown, but he might have too much energy for young kids. Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Tango is currently being fostered in Canby, OR. We have volunteers who can help with transportation. His adoption fee is $400. Story
Meet Vader! Vader is a calm Border Collie/Heeler mix with a fluffy black coat and soulful eyes. He is house trained and demonstrates great behavior indoors and out. His gentle demeanor makes him the perfect companion. While he initially hated his crate, he now happily curls up in his crate at night on his own or sprawls out in front of the couch while his foster family watches TV. He loves to go on casual walks, energetic jogs and even hikes- no pulling the leash! He copies your mood and just enjoys being with company. He truly is a sweetie! He has this quirk where when he’s really happy, his tail doesn’t wag, it goes in circles like a helicopter! He knows sit, down, up, speak, and fetch. Vader has shown significant reactivity towards male dogs and smaller dogs. His ideal home will be as an only dog or with a larger female canine companion. He can be slow to trust new people. His foster family has been working with him on these issues. He has been known to chase cars if unsupervised. Vader has no experience with livestock or farm animals but will chase cats, so a cat-free home is needed. Breed: Border Collie/Heeler mix Age: 3 years old Weight: 55 lb Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Dog friendly: Larger female dogs only Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Has lived with 12-year-old and one year old children successfully Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Vader is currently being fostered in Vancouver, WA. Story
New info!  Pinkie girl has been with us quite awhile, she went to a foster to adopt but got herself in trouble as typical to her breed she needs an experienced handler who doesnt have a hard time putting rules and boundaries in place. She LOVES her person and her space really anything that is "hers". She is e collar trained, prong collar trained, crate trained, house trained and good with cats and dogs (dog savvy cats and had to be told for the first few weeks to leave them alone occasionally). She needs routine, love with boundaries, and is an amazing dog who will give you the absolute best cuddles and boops. She is only about 1.6 years now 18lbs, lives with various other dogs, probably best no younger kids as she is a herding breed who is prone to wanting to herd fast moving things, she did live with kids from 8 and up previously. She knows all her basic commands (sit, down, off, no, stay, come) she would love a fenced property where she can exist outside during the day and hunt anything that moves (squirrels, chipmunks, lizards), she enjoys a baby pool, she likes walks and going in the car with her person, she prefers not to say hi to strangers and should be introduced slowly and with treats or put away when people visit until she knows them. We will train any serious home on her commands and how to use the tools shes been trained on. (Video of her in river in comment- I hope ) Pinky. She is a 1 year old 18lb Mini Aussie Pom mix whose all smarts of the aussie breed and pom love bug, she is good with other dogs, can co-exist with cats (occasionally chases if they run but listens very well to NO), has basic commands and leash skills, LOVES her crate and is amazing in a crate or kennel. She is a sweet girl with more of a shorter semi fluffy aussie mix coat. She has been a joy to have here in foster at my house and would thrive with anyone who has the knowledge of herding or smart breeds who love daily walk, playtime and food/treat puzzles for mental stimulation. She is amazingly smart and picks up a routine really fast and learns what is expected and isn't OK in a new home pretty quickly. She is great with our 10 other dogs and fosters from 2lbs to 80lbs. She is house trained as well and has had no accidents since coming to our house. She can be a little leery of men, and some new people in her environment and will run away or bark but will accept a treat and a couple scratches, warming up more over time.     If interested please follow these steps: 1. fill out and submit an application online at: https://form.jotform.com/240361716308149 2. Please send in home and yard photos for approval. *please note: We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts on adult dogs,so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption.* Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), Current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA.  If anything isn't mentioned please ask. Adoption fees vary $300-$500 depending on the dog and medical care needed/required. Adoption fee for each dog will be noted in write up. ##2215447##
