Story
Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response serves as your preliminary application. Please provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love him/her". Meet Moochi, an approximately 2-year-old Heeler/boxer mix looking for a family who will continue his training to become a good canine citizen. At approximately 45 pounds, he should put a bit of meat on his bones. He was abandoned by an idiot who never came back for him. He loves to play and be with his people. He needs to be engaged and included in family activities, brisk walks, jogging, and car rides. He does well with other dogs, but is protective of his food space; he prefers to dine alone. Sall children seem to make him nervous, so older, respectful children are the order of the day. Crate trained with good potty manners- but do not forget to take him out before bedtime! He loves toys but will take the squeak out of them in a NY minute. He is scheduled for neutering, but is available to the right family as a foster-to-adopt until he has made his one-time testicle donation. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding—Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.

Story
Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response and inquiry serve as your preliminary application. Your first questionPlease provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than 'I want a dog, live in a house and will love her'. You will see Rosalie and Billie Jean with separate profile pics. Introducing this magnificent duo- Rosalie and Billie Jean. They are sisters who have been well-loved by one owner since wee puppies. Life-changing events take dad to a warmer climate and a significant change in environment. We believe it is in their best interest to find an equally devoted family here in the States- more specifically in the Pacific Northwest.. It seems the prudent, loving choice. These bonded beauties are very similar in nature, stature, and gentleness. I suspect they would miss each other more than their devoted papa. Both will celebrate their 20th birthdays on December 6th. The regal and beautiful Rosalie- aka- Ms.Rosa is a presumed Newfy/Great Pry mix, weighing in at 100 pounds. Her distinct badger-like markings give her the look of a formidable challenger. Although she is protective of her people and property and will let you know- 'I am big, bodacious and bold- don't mess my people,' she has the soft and gentle side of a devoted and adoring companion. Ms.Rosa loves to be a protector and companion of children and cats. She is a gentle leash-walker, joyful traveler, and eager pleaser with the affectionate Pyr-Paw shake. Ms. Rosa loves attention, naps, stuffed animals, soccer balls, and sunsets. She has great recall- and doesn't display that stubborn nature of some Great Pyrs. Billie Jean weighs in at approximately 115 pounds- and she could stand to lose a few pounds. She is a super sweet lady who loves cuddles, gentle strokes across her back, and lying out on the porch keeping a lookout for anything alerting or alarming. After her morning watch, she looks forward to a warm nap in the sun. Then she is ready for a busy afternoon welcoming visitors, burying toys, going on car rides, and discovering new adventures to explore with her sister. Billie Jean has the more easygoing disposition of the Newfoundland and the protection of the Pyrenees. She prefers to walk a little slower on a leash. Unlike Ms.Rosa, she does have that little bit of make-me, devil-may-care, stubbornness when she is called. Her endearing qualities far outweigh this occasional stubborn streak. The ideal family will have a spacious fenced property, welcome them into the comforts of a warm, loving, and maybe a giant sofa to stretch out on. They are not lawn ornaments or dogs to be left out in a field or on a mountain. They did come from a ranch where they were bred to guard goats. But they mostly guard family, cats, stuffed animal toys, and property. Will you be the lucky one to welcome this bodacious, engaging, delightful pair? Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a reasonable fee for placement to offset the cost of medical and care. Your first question should not be how much. My highest priority is to be placed in a wonderful home. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding. Story
Your response serves as your preliminary application. Please provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love him". Please do not second-guess what I have determined to be the "ideal family". Meet Levi Tony Baloney, a presumed Doxipoo weighing in at approximately 16 pounds, 6 years old. His history is spotty at best. We know his previous owner died, and since then has been bounced around. He is a happy lad who will attach quickly to his person. His favorite spot is in your lap. He loves belly rubs, bubble baths, and car rides. So far, he hasn't shown any desire to play with toys. He can be a finicky eater; he doesn't like kibble, only soft food. Sometimes indicative of some dental decay, but his teeth are gleaming white with fresh breath. Of course, he likes people's food, which we strongly discourage, and we are working on his sad eye begging. Although he rarely barks- when he does, he doesn't stop until he is darn ready. That is the stubborn dachshund part of him. Luckily, that is not often. Until he knows the ins and outs of his surroundings, he startles easily for a moment. He shows good potty manners and walks wonderfully on leash, happy to meet passersby and other dogs. He gets along with other dogs; however, he wants to be the Prince of his Palace. He doesn't want to share his people. Cats frighten him. So, although he can co-exist with a kitty, He will not make friends easily. His ideal family will be on the quiet side- not a lot of foot traffic, a warm lap of a mature couple or retired lady or gentleman. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Please pay attention to the following. If you do not provide as asked- I am sorry- I will decline to respond. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. Story
Meet RJ! RJ is a 9 month old Lab blend who has come such a long way since arriving at the shelter. When he first came to us, he was scared, skinny, and unsure about the people around him. Everything felt new and a little overwhelming. But with a little patience and kindness, RJ has started to discover that the world is not such a scary place after all. In no time, this sweet boy began to open up, showing us his gentle personality and affectionate side.RJ is a smart cookie, too. He is eager to learn and loves positive attention. While he still enjoys playful puppy moments, RJ has a slightly more mellow, thoughtful nature and often prefers to soak up affection and spend time close to his people. RJ is looking for a family who will continue helping him build confidence and keep showing him how kind people and the world can be. He still has plenty to learn, but he’s already showing just how much potential he has to grow into an incredible companion. If you are looking for a sweet, smart pup with a gentle heart and a bright future, RJ might just be your perfect match. 💛All our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, heartworm or felv/fiv tested, vaccinated for core vaccinations, treated for internal/external parasites.
