Story
We found this good boy on a highway in rural TN. We have checked all over for his owners-called vets, shelters, talked to neighbors, posted online, checked for a microchip-with no luck. We have had him for almost a week, and although he is very sweet, we already have a dog and cannot keep him forever. He is very well mannered and friendly, although seems unfamiliar with home living. He occasionally tries to pee inside, and doesn't like to be crated. He seems unfamiliar with toys and treats, we assume he was an outdoor dog who didn't get much attention. He spends most of his time sleeping and following us around the house. He walks on a leash pretty well and enjoys going for jogs! He is very mellow and gets along great with our dog. We wanted to reach out before taking him to a shelter, as the only local one his a high-volume kill shelter.

Story
Not sure of full breed.. vets seems to think either a Malinois or German Shepard mix. We found 3 puppies in the woods near a fire, no one claimed so they were considered strays - found them all homes and she was brought back due to no fault of her own aside from being a puppy! She’s great with other dogs, loves cuddles, uses poddy pads, and doing well with crate training! This girl deserves all the loves and needs a forever home..

Story
We love Lucy’s sweet personality, but we are a busy family. She needs more attention and exercise. She is crate-trained and unfortunately spends a lot of time in her crate. She loves long walks. She does not bark at all, and we think her previous owners hit her. She is the sweetest thing.

Story
Meet Ramsi! Ramsi is a 6-year-old wire haired terrier/basset hound mix (maybe!). He is scruffy and stubborn like a terrier, and long and short like a basset. We adopted Ramsi from our local shelter when he was approximately 1 year old, and he won us over with his puppy eyes and adorable hugs. Over the last 5 years, our situation has unfortunately changed. We had a baby, and the older and more rambunctious our child gets, the more anxious Ramsi gets. We also moved from a house with a fenced yard to an apartment. The lack of freedom outside along with the noise from neighbors and traffic is very stressful for Ramsi. He tends to be a high anxiety dog, and would likely do well in a calmer single-family home where his people can devote more time and attention to him. He would love nothing more than to gaze into his person's eyes for hours while having his belly rubbed. He also enjoys chewing on bones and murdering toys. Note that Ramsi has some special needs. Please ask!

Story
Comet is a cocker spaniel born May 16th 2016. He belonged to my mother who recently passed away and I'm unfortunately unable to keep him due to finances and the fact that he doesn't get along with my dogs. Comet is a sweet and very playful dog who is toy-obsessed and loves lap cuddles. He's a dog who wants to be by your side at all times. He's prone to ear infections and allergy related skin issues so he's on a prescription diet to help with that. Comet injured his back legs playing a few years ago so he takes an anti-inflammatory as needed because his legs can get a bit sore and stiff when it's cold or if he runs for too long. He lacks socialization with small children and other animals like cats so it's unclear how he'd react to them and he needs basic behavioral training but is eager to please and would do well with an experienced and patient owner that has the resources and extra time needed to train him properly.

Story
Batman is an extremely nervous dog and would not even let us pet him or get near him for many months after adopting him 4yrs ago. I have been working with him and he has made much improvement but definitely would need a patient owner willing to slowly work with him to get over his fears. He now will come up to people and allow people to pet him. He also loves cuddling on the bed. He loves dogs more than he loves people and will learn from them and a home with another dog would be best for him. He also gets along great with cats and kids who are able to respect his space when he asks for it. He is still fearful of being leashed (though we have been working on that), jumping in cars, and being picked up so a fenced in yard is a must as walks are tricky. I have been able to crate train him and he must be crated at night due to waking up in a panic at the slightest noise. He only shows aggression when cornered or picked up. Even then, he will bare his teeth and warning nips before biting.
