Story
Meet Katy! (AKA Katy Bug) She was surrendered by her owner due to a move unfortunately, so that’s why she’s need a FURever home now. Oh my word…she the sweetest girl ever! She is so friendly and walked in the house liked she had always been here! This girl is a major cuddler and lap dog, so be warned! lol Oh and she has the softest fur for a chihweenie I’ve ever touched! Katy is 4-5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. She is spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. She must be kept on heartworm prevention all of her life like all dogs should be. She is great with people of all ages and other dogs. She has been good with most of my cats, but there is 1 she doesn’t care for at all, so it will just depend on the cat. She is pretty good in the house and is used to a fence or leash walking. As always, please expect a few accidents as she adjusts to her new home. The adoption fee is $225 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. *PLEASE NOTE* Some of the FURkids may have a higher fee than others, to help balance the costs to cover other FURkids needs as well. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks (either in person or virtual) for each pet before approving an adoption. Home owners and those a fenced in yard are always given preference.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!

Story
Meet Pepper! Pepper was found wandering a neighbor and some nice ladies took her in and searched for her owners, but ended up not finding them. No microchip, collar, tag, nothing. Once her stray hold was completed, they brought her to us. Boy is she cute AND sweet! She was loved at some point in her life as she knows basic commands (when treats are involved) and his house/pad/crate trained. Pepper does get really excited (once she gets to know you) when you get home, she likes to jump and get kisses! lol She is an ACTIVE girl and definitely needs a fence for “zoomies” and would prefer another dog friend (unless her people are home most of the time). She is great with most people and pets, however she will chase kitties if they are running around. She is around a year old and is a perfect size! Not too little and not too big, weighing 17 pounds. She is spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. The adoption fee is $200 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. Story
Meet Poppy! Poppy was surrendered by her owner to another rescue and and then we were asked if we could take her in, so that’s how she came to us! Poppy is a Poodle mix with the more wavy fur. She was born around May 2025 and currently weighs 35 pounds. She has been fully vetted and is ready to find her FURever family. She has been good in the house and seems kennel trained, but always expected accidents during the transition period. She occasionally will chew, but she’s still a pup. If you redirect her to chew on HER toys, that helps. She does know a few basic commands as well. She seems to have been mistreated at some point because she can be “hand shy” at first. Once she realizes you mean no harm, she comes around and is so sweet. She definitely will need another dog to play with (close to her size). That seemed to help her come out of shell pretty quick here. Calm kids should be fine as well. She loves playing and running in the fenced yard with her other dog friends here! So she MUST have a fence to play/potty in (not to live in). I will say car rides are definitely not a favorite of hers and she tends to get a little car sick and drools. I am hoping with time, she will feel better about car rides, just bring some towels. lol The adoption fee is $375 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life. *PLEASE NOTE* Some of the FURkids may have a higher fee than others, to help balance the costs to cover other FURkids needs as well. Meet Tango! Tango is so cute! He is leash and crate trained. He loves to work puzzles and play hide and seek the treat! Lol He is a very good boy and definitely needs a doggy friend to play with. He was born sometime in March 2025 and weighs right around 30 pounds (perfect size). He is neutered, updated on all shots, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Tango’s mom was a smaller black lab mix who had sadly been shot. Dad is unknown, but possibly a Jack Russell mix maybe? Fenced yard is required to play and potty in. The adoption fee is $150 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. Story
Meet Riggs! Riggs was dumped by his crummy ex owner and was saved him from being starved, shot, or run over. He is so grateful and happy to be loved now! He gets along great with other dogs and has been working on basic training skills since being rescued. He is a smart boy! Riggs looks kinda big in his pictures, but he’s not big at all! He weighs right at 35 pounds. He is around a year old and fully vetted (neutered, shots, and heartworm tested negative). He is used to a fenced yard, but should not be a “lawn ornament”. We want our dogs to be inside members of their families primarily. So if he sounds like a good match, apply to adopt Riggs! The adoption fee is $125 Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life.
