Story
This is Astrid. She was rescued by my ex. She was found in the woods alone at around 6 months of age, so we do not know her background previously to that. She is a very sweet girl, she just has lots of energy needs that I cannot provide with my lifestyle. She does have some separation anxiety, but is crate trained. She needs either a family, or someone who has time for her attention. She especially loves cuddling and just being near her people. Knows basic commands like “sit” and “no”. Pretty good about bath time. She still is not fully potty trained, and has had destructive habits around the house. She would love to be in a big yard or someone who has a physically active lifestyle. Very sweet even to strangers. Has had mixed reactions to other dogs, she has gotten along great with smaller dogs. She deserves to be in a better home than the one she already is. Shots are up to date. About 2 years old, about 48 pounds.

Samson knew nothing about being a pet before coming to us. He was used just for stud and never held, cuddled, or loved. Everything is new to him, every sight, sound, or person. If you are chosen it will be your goal to make him the pet he should have been 7 yrs ago. Are you up to the challenge, please help him. The look in his eyes tells us he wants to be loved and to trust but it will take time and patience. Samson is doing great in his foster home with the cat and dachshund foster siblings. He is walking well on his leash and enjoys his walks around the neighborhood with the big dogs. Samson is working hard on his potty training and is doing well if kept on a schedule. Since coming into rescue, little guy has learned so much about being a pet and a member of the household, leaving his life and habits as a breeder dog behind. His foster mom tells us he is a great little traveling companion! Check back soon for more updates on Mr. Samson. BIO: Samson is a retired breeder dog who needs a patient, loving home where he can lay his head. Would that be you? He is a shy boy but with love and patience we know he can be the most loving little boy you have ever had. However, you need to have patience for him to come out of his shell and learn to be a pet not a breeder dog. You can see the longing in his eyes when you look at him. He wants to trust, but he is just not sure, give him that reassurance. He gets along with other small dogs. As Samson settles into his foster home, think about adopting him and giving him your love. We will update his bio as we learn more about him. In the meantime, our must haves are: • A fenced in yard • Another small, adult, well socialized dog for him to learn from • Someone that can be home more than not or a newly retired person that has breeder dog experience • No apartment, high rises, condos or town-houses If you are wanting to adopt him then go to our website www.allamericandachshundrescue.org and fill out our online adoption application. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. Please look for dogs on your coast.

Crush 😍 Crush is seriously just a goofy, silly, happy to exsist boy who just wants to play with all his other dogs friends. Crush was born into our rescue on Feb 7th, 2024 ,his Mom is Love(also still available for adoption) Crush is now 1 year old and very soon will celebrate not only his first birthday ,but one year of living his whole life In a rescue. Crush had 8 brothers and sisters and everyone of them found homes months back, but for some reason Crush just hasn't had the luck his siblings did and it really hurts my heart for him. Crush is a big baby and is pretty uncertain about anything new at first. He really needs some confidence building and will do best in a home with another dog friendly dog to help him out. Crush adoption fee is waived to a perfect home , he has been here too long. We would really love to find him a home before his 1 year birthday, so he can celebrate with his forever family and not here ❤️. Someone PLEASE Come meet this boy and give him a chance. He's around 40lbs and grown . He is neutered, microchipped, utd on vaccines. He is being fostered in Cosby Tennessee. Someone please give Crush a chance 😫

Gingersnap Adoption fee waived - out of state adoptions welcome-transport possible! Open to rescue transfer or new foster or trial adoptions as well!!! 📌 Morristown TN 🐾🐾Hi ,my name is Ginger Snap. I’m part Boxer but I think my daddy was a traveling dog treats salesman bc no one knows who he was. 😉 I currently weigh 38 lbs and I am probably finished growing tall now. Of course I love snacks so I may gain a few pounds while I thicken up especially if you give me good treats! I love to run and play with other dogs in the fenced yard. I especially loved the baby pool when it was warmer weather and I can’t wait until warmer weather again so I can play in the pool! I have lots of energy and love to play with squeaky toys, also stuffed animals. I like to carry stuffed toys around and let the other dogs chase me. I am fast and sometimes they can’t catch me. I haven’t been around cats though so I would need to be tested with them if my new family has cats. I like to snuggle and I will want to be in our lap on the couch. I like to watch tv especially animal planet. I am crate trained and I calm down nicely when it is time for bed. I am working hard on house training and do extremely well if taken out regularly. I am afraid of leashes and I pancake to the ground if I am put on a leash to try to walk, my foster mom has some mobility issues and isnt able to work with me on leash training at this time, but I am a smart girl who is eager to please so if you looking for the perfect girl look no further bc you have found me. Now go on and message this page so you can meet me❤️🐾.
