Full of energy and always ready to wiggle his butt in excitement, Gordie is the kind of pup who loves to play and cuddle in equal measure. He’s looking for a family who can match his energy—older, respectful children would be his ideal playmates. Gordie isn’t too fond of cats, so he’d need a home without them. Historically in his previous home has not done well with smaller dogs or the larger dog in the home. He may do well with slow introductions later on, but has not done well meeting dogs in the shelter enviornment. He has never been around cats. He can be a little shy when meeting new people — especially when they enter his space — and may bark at first. But don’t let that fool you; once he knows you, he warms up quickly and becomes a loyal, affectionate friend.Because of his startle reflex and initial shyness, Cash would do best in a home with older children or adults only. He has lived with other laid back dogs and did well, but we are unsure how he is with cats. We are recommending older kids or an all adult home for Jake due to his shy nature.
