Story
It can be tough to be Bo, as people often expect a giant dog to be slow and steady and, instead quite sensitive, Bo can be easily stressed by his anticipation of worry around corner.Bo prefers not to play the social butterfly, and when a wind storm sweeps through or a garbage truck backfires, or some other scary thing happens, he wants to seek comfort in a familiar safe space. His best fit family will help him lean into those good instincts and step away from the action when he needs to.Like many Pyrenees, Bo enjoys time outside just surveying his surroundings, and is hardy in weather his family may not wish to be out in, so his ideal family will have a fenced recreation space or perhaps even some acreage where he can continue to find comfort and pleasure in those outdoor opportunities. Bo is available for adoption to families without children, and if joining a multi-dog household we recommend a welcoming, like-sized dog to encourage Beau's playful side. Story
There is no puppy sweeter than Sally. This girl exudes love and affection and wants to be constantly cuddled! Or playing; playing is great too, according to Sally! She enjoys various toys, romping and exploring, and socializing with other dogs of all sizes. Having this girl around is endlessly entertaining! You won’t be able to stop yourself from smiling at her derpy tongue sticking out, her speckled belly, or her habit of building a toy mountain to play with and sleep in.    Sally gets along wonderfully with the cats in her foster home. That said, because of her size (25 lbs and quickly growing) and youthful exuberance, Sally is not an appropriate pup for a family with young children.    Sally is a gangly girl; right now she’s all awkward, adorably floppy, long limbs, not unlike a baby deer. She is quite active, and will probably be that way throughout her life. Though we can’t be sure, Sally looks to be a mix of Pyrenees and Australian Shepard, which would explain her loyal and intelligent personality as well as her larger size. These breeds require outlets for their energy and smarts, so consider that before adopting a dog with such heritage. However, Sally is highly trainable. Her potty habits are perfect when given ample yard time, and she sleeps through the night in her crate. She loves to please her people, so training possibilities are endless.    If you’re looking for a loving, active canine companion, beautiful Sally may just be your girl!    If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $350 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2015146##

Story
Miss Jalapeno is just the most loving little pup. She is just as happy giving cuddles as she is playing with the young child and other dogs in her foster home. This sweet girl had a rougher start as she was hit by a car and sustained injuries to her hind end. Soon after arriving, the rescue had x rays done and they are currently waiting for a specialist to review. Don't let this info deter you though, she is able to live a wonderful and active life and is one of the happiest girls you could meet. Her favorite things include snuggles, treats, playing with her foster family and swiping stuffed animals from the 5 year old girl in the home. Because we will be monitoring her injuries for a while, a foster to adopt situation would be ideal in this girls case. Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com ##1675180##

Story
Sid is a 10 month old pyrenees mix, neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is such a sweetheart and easy going dog, he loves to be outside and likes to dig, so his dream home would have a sandbox(or someone to keep him distracted.) He loves affection and is good at occupying himself. He needs some work on leash but is food motivated so with some treats he will hopefully learn some manners in time. Story
Shep is good with cats and dogs. Really like to play and is more comfortable with another dog close by. He is smart and picking up verbal cues quickly. He does well with a routine and is a bit sensitive to corrections. He will thrive on positive reinforcement and loves food of any kind. He sleeps well throughout the night as along as he is with another dog. He does like to snuggle with people but really likes to cuddle with his doggie friends. He is doing well with potty training but will sometimes get caught up in playing to long and…

Story
Daisy, great pyrenees, female, 9 yo, 95 lbSweet Daisy was surrendered by the breeder because she was not fit for breeding any more. She spent her life in a kennel with a dog run and was quite cautious at first to go cross country in our big yard. Now she enjoys the freedom to run and the smell of rain and grass. Good with dogs. She is super sweet, calm and a little shy at first. She would love to be part of a family at last. She is our favorite and brings lots of joy to everyone she meets! Daisy needs a fenced yard with least 5' tall fence as she can run very fast and far. Adoption fee $325. Story
Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt."I like big dogs and I cannot lie" If you're singing this remix, you don't want to miss out on Kaya -- 86lbs of fluffy perfection! Personality | Kaya is a sweet and loving girl with a smile and soulful eyes that make anyone who meets her fall head over heels! She loves to be by your side and give you hugs! She will jump up on people, but in a gentle way without putting her full weight on you, so she doesn't knock you over! She's a typical large breed that doesn't realize she's a large breed. ;) Her foster family is teaching her that she doesn't get pets and attention when she jumps and she's learning what "down" means. She loves people and will let out happy whimpers when her foster family gets home. She has a lot of love to give to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her and clearly gets attached to her people quickly. :) Her breed is unknown, but she could easily be a purebred great pyr based on her beautiful white coat, giant size, and calm demeanor. Anyone interested should read up on the breed before adopting. Don't miss out on this amazing girl! Story | Rescued from a NM shelter.Other Dogs | She is friendly and playful with small dogs and large dogs. She prefers to be fed separate from other dogs. Cats | She is fostered with a cat. She loves the kitty and has been gentle with him. Children | Friendly! She's very calm and likes to calmly sit by her humans for pets. She's already eye level with most kids so she probably wouldn't jump on them and is calm enough that she likely wouldn't accidently knock any children down when excited. Her excitement usually comes in the form of getting right up next to you for pets! She's also been very tolerant of her foster mom bathing her and brushing out very matted hair, which means she likely will be very tolerant of little kids being in her space.Training | Kaya is a very intelligent dog. She is quickly learning basic commands like sit, down and stay. She sleeps through the night in the crate as long as the crate is in the bedroom where she can see you.Kaya hasn't been destructive at all and has done fine when left roaming the house alone for a few hours. She does like to counter surf (and can reach everything), but all she has grabbed from the counters are dishes to lick clean and hasn't chewed any of them up. She is the perfect motivator to wash the dishes instead of letting them sit in the sink! She will bark when she hears loud noises outside or someone knocks on the door, which is typical for her breed since they were bred to guard. Interested adopters should read up on the breed and understand their tendency to bark to scare away predators and protect their livestock (aka their humans)!Leash | She walks very well on the leash and it's usually a "loose leash." When she does occasionally pull, it isn't with her full strength. So far, she has never pulled hard enough where it's difficult to keep hold of the leash, despite her size! She walks much better on the leash then her much smaller foster brother and is mostly just happy to be by your side. She has not shown any reactivity on the leash towards other dogs, squirrels or people and probably would do just fine tagging along on hikes and to breweries! Activity Level  Low - medium. Great Pyrenees require regular exercise and mental stimulation. They are bred to protect livestock and are very loyal to their families. She has done well with a few 15-30 minute walks a day and mostly just wants to hang out by your side. She usually naps on the wood floor near the humans, probably because it's cooler then the dog bed with her thick coat! Health Notes | Healthy! She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and heartworm negative! She has a beautiful, white coat and will need regular brushing to keep it from matting. She's very tolerant to getting groomed, even when brushing out sensitive spots. She was underweight at intake, but has a healthy appetite and is quickly getting where she needs to be. She hadn't been weighed recently, but she is probably heavier than 86 lbs now. Thank you! | Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. April 28, 2024, 3:52 pm
