Story

Rachel is an absolute goofball! Clumsy and hilarious and absolutely adores human affection. She is shy at first and will cower and/roll over for pets but she warms up quickly. She has the cutest zoomies and zest for life. Her personality is really unmatched. Her energy level is delightful (she loves a good nap) and has gotten a little more mischievous as she gains confidence which is honestly just cute. Rachel is very easy to train and eager to please. She was going potty on the indoor potty pads after one full day and is working on potty training outside. Her walks are getting better as well, as she gains confidence. She is curious and sweet and just wants to smother you in love! She has been great with my cat and other dog, respecting their boundaries when they set them. She is going to keep her next family laughing and loved. ##2770425##

All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please do not contact EAPL about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, including information on history, vaccines, etc. Jethro and Elly May were raised on a ranch. Their owner could no longer afford to feed them and took them to the shelter. We believe they are full siblings, Great Pyrenees mixes, but Jethro looks like he has some Anatolian shepherd in him as well. They were put on the euthanasia list - only due to overcrowding. We stepped in and pulled them out one hour before they were scheduled to be put down. Elly May was very sick, and Jethro was extremely stressed out. It took time and excellent medical care but they pulled through and settled in well. They are now healthy, fixed, and all shots are up to date. Elly May is about 65 pounds, Jethro is 80-85 lbs. She is a goofy princess, he is a big, lovable galumph. They are a bonded pair — very sweet, cuddly, and gentle with people, although we would recommend older kids. We don't know whether they were previously used to guard livestock, but they are well-suited for it — extremely smart, independent, and trainable. They love chew toys and running around outdoors. They have not been in the car much, and can be hesitant to get in, but they are very chill once they're inside. They are good in the house, fully house trained, but they love being outdoors, and are natural guardians. They are always curious and love to go new places and do new things. If kept purely as pets, they will need lots of exercise and/or a lot of space to roam and patrol. They do poorly when confined, due to their shelter trauma - they are not crate dogs. They do have a prey drive and would likely require training before being let loose around cats or smaller animals. They are the absolute sweetest and will make incredibly loving, loyal additions to your household. 🩵 Very large, floofy💙 Loves cuddles💜 Tricks!: sit, shake, lay, touch, balance snacks on his nose, jump into the air, give a seated “hug” with paws on shoulders, turnaround, wait & go find🩷 Very food motivated but does not get on the counters❤️ Overall very lazy. He will get up at 5AM if you want him to, or sleep in until 1PMTony is currently in a training camp at the Art of the Dog. This is a behavioral program that he will graduate from on August. 27, 2026. He is boarded and training there to help with his socialization skills with other dogs and new people. This course is paid for and comes with unlimited 1-on-1 free trainings for the rest of Tony’s life. Whoever becomes his family will have this service is at their disposal! If there are any type of skills you need him to develop, you will be given all the info needed to get him the free trainings.I am moving out of CO & he can’t stay with me. I love him so much. Looking for a farm who needs a protector.

Hello, my dogs name is Lola and she is a Great Pyranees and German shepherd mix. My friend got her as a pup and said she needed a home and I volunteered to take her. A few years later I've come to realize that she needs a better home. I work a lot so I don't have much time to spend with her. I would only give away if I knew that she was going to a loving home, preferably a family or someone who's willing to dedicate their time to train and love her, and someone with a backyard. Lola was born on July 15th of 2023 in Pueblo Colorado. She spends half of the day inside the house with my family and gets let out to the backyard regularly to use the bathroom or, just to chill for a bit. In the evenings she's happy to go to her crate for bedtime. Lola is very healthy, happy, and protective. She is also spayed and all of her shots are up to date. She's a shy dog but always eager to go on walks or runs. Unfortunately I didn't train her very well so she gets very protective around aggressive dogs
