Handsome fella in need of a patient home able to allow him time and space to unwind after a couple stressful weeks at the shelter. In Zimba's previous home he was known to be timid and warm up to new people with time. He has had very little experiences in his previous home and although learning to be a brave boy he will likely do best in a home that can grow his confidence and circle of friends a his pace. At this time FAS is recommending a home with older or no children under the age of 10. Primary Color: White Weight: 57.42 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m looking to rehome my dog. I adopted Donatello (Donny) from the Greeley NOCO Humane in CO. He is a little over 2 years old. This decision has not been easy, but I want to find a home that can offer him everything he needs to thrive. Donatello is affectionate, playful (but not high energy), loyal, smart and gentle. He adores my 2 young girls and enjoys cuddling on the couch, going for walks and playing with his owner and long-haired German Shepherd friend. The ideal home for Donatello is someone who has some property that is fenced. He loves to roam and wander and sometimes does not come back when called. He can be trained to come but only once you have gained his trust and companionship. He can be food aggressive and will give warning growls. I’m looking for a loving, responsible home where Donatello will be a cherished member of the family. He needs a safe and stable environment, plenty of attention, and someone who will continue to care for him.

This decision has not been easy, but I want to find a home that can offer him everything he needs to thrive. Donatello is affectionate, playful (but not high energy), smart and gentle. He likes my 2 young girls and enjoys cuddling on the couch, going for walks/hikes, and playing with his owner and female long-haired German Shepherd friend. Donny prefers to ride in the back seat of a car, he is good on a leash and is excited when he meets other dogs. He is scared of thunderstorms, and I am unsure how he is around cats.  Donny is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. The ideal home for Donatello is someone who has some property that is fenced. He loves to roam and wander, and sometimes does not come back when called. The Great Pyrenees was bred to guard livestock and the property he lives on which he would do well in this environment. If he becomes bored, he will dig holes, but he has never chewed anything in our house. He can be trained to come (I have been working with him on this) but only once you have gained his trust and companionship. He can be food aggressive and will give warning growls if he feels his food is threatened. He would do well in a home with kids over the age of 6 years old. I am looking for a loving, responsible home where Donatello will be a cherished member of the family. He needs a safe and stable environment and someone who will give him lots of attention. In return, he will be your loyal best friend. The re-homing fee is $50, which will be donated back to the Evergreen Animal Protection League.  My contact information if you are interested in welcoming Donatello into your family." Story
We adopted Abby from a shelter in Corpus Christi, Texas over a year ago and moved to Colorado in Dec. We have spent that time growing her hair back in as it was very thin when we adopted her, and giving her the best home possible. She is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped etc. She is very calm sweet and relaxed around the house, She does get excitable when she knows its the time of day for her usual walk and even playful. She is great with people and kids. However, it is important to know as a guardian dog, they are very protective of the yard when it comes to other dogs. She is not great with other dogs until she has had plenty of time to get to know them. She is currently taking Apequel for an itch she is having per veterinary direction. She is a fantastic dog, if we had a work schedule and house/yard more suitable, we likely wouldn't even be considering this. Our goal is to find a home for her where she can get the attention/living situation she deserves.
