Story
We call her Bella because of her beautiful face. She is a 9-month-old Labrador-Pyrenees mix (pyrador).   She is about 50 lbs and has a lovely cream colored coat.  Sadly, she was found with a crushed front leg that had to be removed.  But she doesn’t let that slow her down.  She loves to explore the yard, meet other dogs, play with her toys, and spend time with her humans.  She is very gentle when taking treats.  Bella is house and crate-trained, spayed, and up-to-date on her vaccines.  She is new in the EAPL program, and we will share more as we learn everything about this fabulous girl! If you are interested in Bella, put in an application at eapl.com. Her adoption fee is $375   May 11, 2026, 7:08 pm

Story
Daisy is a beautiful purebred Great Pyrenees with a heart just as big as her fluffy frame. This sweet girl is incredibly friendly, gentle, and loves being around people and other dogs. She truly lives up to the “gentle giant” reputation of her breed.Daisy has an adorable quirk—she’s only vocal when it comes to things in the sky! Birds, airplanes, or anything overhead might get a bark or two, but otherwise she’s calm and easygoing.Due to her previous owner moving into a senior care facility, Daisy is now in need of a new loving home. This transition hasn’t dimmed her sweet nature—she’s still as affectionate and loyal as ever.Daisy would thrive in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs, relax in the sunshine, and keep a watchful (but mellow) eye on her surroundings. She’s looking for someone who will give her the love, stability, and care she deserves. If you’re searching for a kind-hearted, gentle companion to share your home and heart, Daisy may be the perfect match.

Story
Lucille arrived to Colorado on 5/3 and has been doing great settling into her foster home! She’s friendly, curious, and loves playing with her stuffies. She loves getting to explore new smells on walks and does well on the leash. She's a complete silly goose with a good amount of energy for playtime and affection and she adores belly rubs. She sleeps perfectly in her crate at night and when left at home. She’s a big dog who thinks she’s a tiny baby and will need a home that can continue working with her on training and will give her plenty of structured playtime to work out her energy. She loves walks but will need more enrichment than just that to work out her puppy energy — either going on a run, playing with another dog, playing fetch / tug, doing a snuffle mats, dog puzzle, etc. She does love chewing on a bone or working on a frozen Kong; both of these are great for getting her to settle down. She’s a big dog but skinny (guessing she's an Akbash more than a Pyr). Currently at a healthy weight. Guessed to be young, around age 1-2. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Neutered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Dog for Rehome – Great Pyrenees Mix Meet COLT, a sweet, loyal Great Pyrenees mix looking for his forever one- or two-person home. He is 7 years old, calm, and has a gentle “Eeyore” personality – happy but laid-back. He loves lounging indoors and spending short time in the backyard. He is protective and barks to alert but is not a high-energy dog. He has been a perfect “one-man” dog for the past 7 years. He does best in a quiet adult-only home without other pets, kids, or frequent guests. He gets nervous and barks around new people or babies, so he needs a calm, predictable household where he can be the center of attention again. Not good on leash; prefers being a house dog. Up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. If you have a peaceful home and can give him the devoted attention he thrives on, Colt will be your loyal companion for life. Serious inquiries only. Please include a bit about your home and experience with large breeds. Adoption fee applies.

Story
We have had Plato for 4 years after adopting him at ~2 years old, so he is about 6. He is a friendly dog who loves walks, and is in good health. The main reason to rehome is we are expecting a second child this fall, and the first was very difficult, leaving us with little time/resources to care for an extra pet (we also have cats). He does have a couple behaviors we find challenging - he is extremely food motivated and will take food from our toddler's hands/high chair by jumping up. He gets extremely excited for walks and may knock things over in excitement. And he has a strong protective instinct, which includes barking at cars and especially Amazon/mail deliveries, again this can include inadvertently knocking things over or scaring our toddler. He is however very friendly/gentle generally - this excitement and the barking that comes with it are the real challenges, plus the issues with food given we have a child learning to eat.
