Story
Good day, everyone. We are looking to re-home these two sweet canines together. We rescued them from a Home Depot parking lot back in March. Baxter and Barbie are 8 months old, they are current on all shots (records included), they are house trained, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Baxter (white one) is a Pyrenees/Lab mix and Barbie (brown one) is a Pyrenes/Anatolian Shepherd. They are siblings by a common parent. They have been together since they were born. They are super sweet and lovable, very good dogs. Unfortunately, we are not home enough and these dogs are very active and need a very large yard to run freely. Hoping to find someone who will be as sweet to them as they are to humans. They are also good with children and other dogs. Message me with serious inquiries. Thank you.

Story
This happy, tail-wagging handsome fellow could also be called a southern gentleman. Blizzard is a four month old 37 pound Great White Pyrenees that came in as a stray on 9/22 along with his sister that I named Snowball. Neither of them are altered. Besides being very handsome, he's also very silky and soft. He's more outgoing than his sister. He had to be coaxed and would flatten trying to go out to the yard, but once he got out in the yard he relaxed. At this point his tail started wagging, and he stayed close to me. By the way, he walked OK going back to his kennel. He's well mannered. He doesn't jump on you. He wants to please. He did sit one time, but not sure whether it was more of an accident or if he really knows the command. When I sat down, he came to me putting his head on my lap and giving me kisses. He did his business in the yard. He wagged his tail meeting other dogs. He's a mild- mannered guy, easy-going, and very affectionate. He would love to snuggle up to you on the couch and show you how affectionate he can be. He told me he wants to be an inside dog.

Story
This white, silky, soft girl with big brown eyes is Snowball. She's a gentle, loving girl with lots of love to give her new family. Snowball is a four month old 33 pound Great White Pyrenees that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 9/22 along with her brother Blizzard. They came in as strays and neither of them have been altered. She's on the timid side and would do best with slow introductions so trust can be built. I spent a lot of time with her before she would come to me. I knew I had won her over when she started wagging your tail. When we were in the yard, she investigated her surroundings with her nose. She did her business in the yard. She went nose to nose wagging her tail meeting other dogs. She kept flattening going out to the yard and had to be carried. She did much better going back to her kennel. Once trust is built, there's no doubt she will become more playful and she will blossom. She's extremely soft and silky. She's a very pretty girl. She would do well with a laid-back family that would share their house with her. She would like nothing better than to cuddle and snuggle up to her new loved ones.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet India!  Born October 25, 2021, this tender cutie pie is on the small side for the breed. This little pumpkin is friendly and sweet with people, but a little reserved at first.  She’ll show you her famous “sad eyes” pose to make you turn to mush. She is playful with anything that moves!  She loves to run around outside and is very active.  She doesn’t know her own strength, so she shouldn’t be placed with babies, toddlers, or the infirm. She also loves basking in the cool morning sun. India needs a doggy companion in her forever home.  She prefers dogs that aren’t overzealous.  She scares easily and will run away crying if a dog jumps on her.  She is very food motivated, since she was raised with her brother; she is the more dominant of the two and would try to steal his food. She is good with cats, too.  She does well with cats that like dogs.  We suspect that if a cat smacked her, she would run away crying. She is housed trained, leash trained, and she rides nicely in a car. She is very vocal and likes to bark.  Ever the endearing one, she cries when she gets scared. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Handsome Hank!  This quick video shows his sweet, happy personality, featuring his waggy tail and wonderful freckles.  https://youtube.com/shorts/keUASMW2zpE This fun-loving boy was born around November 2020.  At 68 pounds, he is fully grown and on the small side for a Great Pyrenees.  While we named him Handsome and nicknamed him Hank, he doesn’t yet recognize either.  He reacts to the tone of your voice. Handsome has been through a lot.  It seems he was treated very badly at some point, because if you raise your voice, he will cower and act as if he is in trouble.  He is afraid of loud noises.  And he is deathly afraid of water at bath time.  It is so sad to see.  He is such a sweet boy; it is heartbreaking to imagine what has happened to him. Handsome was found as a stray.  He was anemic, malnourished, heartworm positive, whipworm positive, with buckshot in his legs and a large hernia pushing his organs into his chest cavity.  We took him to our amazing friends at North Colony Animal Hospital where they cared for him until he was healthy enough for his hernia surgery.  It took a veterinarian, and three vet techs, two hours of surgery to get him put back together and another two weeks of rest as he healed. He did not react well to the anesthesia so probably should not be put under again. Now that he is fully healed, he loves to lay in your lap, run around a huge yard, go on walks and explore.  He loves to chew on toys and throw them in the air.  He would love going to a dog park with you if the other pups there are nice.   He likes to climb chain-link fences!  So, he must go to a home with a large backyard that has a 6- to 8-foot wooden fence. Handsome is fully house trained.  He is great on a leash and in a pack walk.  He is crate trained, rides well in a car, and is not much of a barker. He likes to play calmly with other dogs.  He will sometimes just paw at them while he wiggles on his back!  He would do well with another dog in the home.  He might be fine as an only dog if he has people with him most of the time. This gentle boy loves all people.  He needs a loving, calm, nurturing environment where he can continue to regain his confidence in people.
