Story
Hello. I'm Barney! Let's be a happy family! I am a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix that weighs around 85 Lbs. Sadly my owner passed away and I had nowhere to go. My owners Family took me in temporarily but would really like to find me a fur ever home. I am house broken and walk pretty well on a leash. Although I would prefer a harness to your typical leash and collar. I am a very sweet boy who gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. Even though I am good with other dogs and know that friends come in all shapes and sizes, meet and greets are recommended prior to adoption if you have another dog in the home. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date, heartworm negative and microchipped. I am currently in a foster home and require an approved online adoption application for meet and greets as well as for adoption. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please submit your online adoption application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters accordingly.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 26, 2024, 2:55 pm

Story
Annie is a 12 y/o Great Pyrenees mix. She is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. She is housebroken and does not climb on furniture. Annie has been in the same home since she was born. Her mother was a white Great Pyrenees stray who wandered up to my mom's house and produced a litter of pups. Annie was the runt of the litter. Due to her owner's health issues Annie needs a new forever home. Annie is a calm, quiet dog however she will sound off if she hears or sees unusual activity. Annie can be timid and dislikes loud noises. She avoids children and has little to do with anyone except her owner. It will take some time to earn her trust. She dislikes cats and squirrels. She avoids strange dogs but will bond to one in the same home. She likes to spend a lot of time outdoors and would do best with a large fenced yard. She generally wants in the house at dusk and also will come inside for a mid-day nap during the heat of Texas summers. Annie's companion Lucky is also listed.

** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Bryan at 214-299-3513 or bravobryan942@gmail.com ** Casper, with his snow-white fur, could easily be mistaken for a fluffy cloud on a serene day. He's the epitome of friendliness, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and gentle eyes that seem to peer right into your soul with understanding. His demeanor is so warm and inviting that he could make even the most reserved person feel like an old friend. Casper's attunement to emotions is almost supernatural; he just knows when you need an extra nuzzle or a happy bark to lift your spirits. Whether he's sprawled out in a sunny spot or bounding towards you with unbridled joy, Casper's presence is a comforting reminder of the pure, unconditional love that dogs bring into our lives. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet India!  Born around October 2021, this tender cutie pie weighs about 40 pounds and is long and lanky like a colt. She is friendly and sweet with people after she is a little reserved at first.  Her sad puppy eyes will win you over! She is playful with anything that moves!  She loves to run around outside and is very active.  She also loves basking in the cool morning sun. Our well-mannered girl is polite with people.  She never jumps up on anyone.  She would do best if kids in the house are equally docile, as she excels in a calm, unchanging environment. India needs a low-key doggy companion in her forever home.  She prefers dogs that are not overzealous.  She is a sensitive soul who is not that much into playing with other dogs.  She prefers to just hang out with them. She is good with cats, and does well with the ones that like dogs. She is housed trained, leash trained, and she rides nicely in a car.  She is very vocal and likes to bark outside. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2024, 10:35 pm

Story
Kala is a 2.5 yo, very sweet and incredibly loyal mixed blue heeler Australian shepard mix. She is fantastic in our home and does not ever chew on something she shouldn't, is crate trained, and house trained. She does like to have a toy that she wants to throw around and play with inside and outside she has her balls that she will want to fetch for hours! Her ideal day would be to be able to be close to her owner all day, follow you around, and be given a purpose like to herd. She is a fantastic runner and has become my running buddy! Her loyalty and protective traits come out if we are ever approached by someone. Due to us having younger active children and having an influx of kids coming and going in our home and she does not handle this well. This is why we are unfortunately needing to rehome her. She has not bitten anyone but has snapped at two children who quickly moved in her face when she was sitting in front of me as if she was protecting me from them.
