Our daughter and son adopted this dog two years ago on New Year’s Eve. They did not ask the right questions, and we did not know he would be so big. He needs a good place to run around and enjoy being outside. We love him, but we cannot keep him in our home. Not to mention, our daughter has gone away to college, and is about to move into an apartment where she cannot take a large dog, and our son is about to go away to college. Unfortunately, with mine and my husband‘s busy schedule, we cannot continue to take care of the dog. He is very sweet and loving, just needs a nice yard to run around in. Any family will be lucky to have him.

Story

Clarence is a 4 year old, 100 lb Great Pyrenees who is ready for his forever home. When he first came to the rescue, he was in rough shape and very shy, but he has since grown into a confident, affectionate, and handsome boy. Clarence enjoys being around people and forms strong bonds with his humans. He is fully potty trained, well-mannered in the home, and does not require a kennel when left alone. He knows how to sit and shake on command and enjoys daily walks and walks well on a leash. He does well with other dogs after a slow introduction and would be best matched with someone familiar with large breeds or Great Pyrenees traits. Clarence needs a home where someone is around for part or most of the day. No apartments and no cats, please. If you’re interested in adopting Clarence, please apply at www.rescuerowinc.org. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2470761##

***DFW area only-No Exceptions*** Frost is an 3 month old (as of 2/1/26) possibly Great Pyrenees/Australian cattle dog mix puppy. Her litter was left at the back door of a local shelter at just one week of age. Her foster mom saw a plea and brought her in to the Legacy Humane fold! Since then, the pups have progressed from bottle feeding to solid food and are now ready for adoption! Frost loves to be played with, is observant, sweet and adventurous. She is very smart and catches on to routines quickly. She is a very pretty puppy with pink highlights and even a pinkish nose. She enjoys playing fetch and romping in the yard. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Frost is working on potty training and, given a potty schedule, she does very well for her young age. She’s even beginning to go to the back door to request to go out. Frost does well with kids old enough to understand puppy behavior (~8ys and up). So far she does well with other dogs and cats. Frost responds well to corrections from adult dogs and curtails her behavior accordingly. She would do best in a home with a yard. Current weight 20 lbs Projected weight 70+ lbs Crate trained but not happy about it We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes her spay, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative. He likes to climb in his foster mom’s lap for a snuggle. He also enjoys cozy dog beds for a good nap. He has one blue eye and one gray eye and his nose is multicolored. He is generally gentle and calm. He can be a bit shy in new situations but warms up faster if a nice doggy friend is around. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Flurry is working on potty training and, given a potty schedule, he does very well for his young age. Flurry does well with kids old enough to understand puppy behavior (~8ys and up). So far he does well with other dogs and cats. Trip had to have his leg amputated as it healed improperly after it was broken while he was a growing puppy. However, he is one of the happiest, silliest boys you could hope to meet. He lives with many other dogs and is a favorite playmate for most of them. He loves all his canine buddies and is also fine around cats. Trip loves all humans he meets and would be a great addition to any home looking for a playful, outgoing dog. He is crate-trained primarily and will ask to go outside; however, he has not been able to stay up for longer than overnight without a potty break. He does not get many chances to go for car rides, but enjoys it when he can. Trip is fully vetted - current with all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered and microchipped.
