Story
Meet Titus: A Gentle Giant Looking for Wide Open Spaces Titus is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as his frame. True to his breed, he’s the perfect combination of gentle guardian and devoted companion—loyal to his core, protective of his loved ones, and incredibly sweet with the people he trusts. This beautiful boy thrives when he has room to roam. He loves nothing more than stretching his legs on a good hike or run, then settling in close to his people for some well-deserved relaxation time. Titus forms deep bonds with his family and takes his role as protector seriously, always keeping a watchful eye on his home and the people he loves. Our recent move to the city has been tough on Titus. As a dog bred for open pastures and mountain landscapes, the confined spaces, constant noise, and bustle of urban life have left him anxious and stressed. He needs what his breed was meant for: space to breathe, land to patrol, and the peace that comes with a quieter environment.

Story
Edward is 13 weeks old and weighs 19 lbs! He is incredibly calm for a puppy his age and super smart! He knows how to sit and lay down on command. Edward is kennel trained and doing fantastic with potty training. He has even started ringing the potty bells to let his foster parents know when he needs to go outside. He does great with other dogs and will need another playful, cuddly canine companion in his forever home. Per Wisdom Panel, Edward is a mix of seven different breeds, with his top breeds being 42% Great Pyrenees and 33% American Pit Bull Terrier. He is estimated to weigh between 46–77 lbs fully grown. If you are interested in adopting Edward, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. Due to his breed mix, we will not be placing him in an apartment. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2626102##

Story
We found Cleo abandoned on the side of the road as a puppy. We fell in love with her immediately and she has been part of our family for 5 years. Cleo’s breed is a protective breed which can make her very anxious at times. With the addition of a new member of our family, her anxiety has increased. She gets jumpy around our toddler and around strangers. Cleo’s general temperament is extremely loving. She loves us and is almost always in the same room as us. She wants to please us which makes her relatively obedient. She is gentle with our older dog. She needs a family that can love her, and provide her with continued training and encouragement. We have found that structure and training alleviates her anxiety, however we are unable to offer this to her in our current life stage. We love Cleo so much and we want to find her a home where she can be loved without the added stress. Instead of an adoption fee we would like the adopter to show proof of purchase for some dog training.

Story
***DFW area only-No Exceptions***     Flurry is a 3 months  old (as of 2/1 /26) possibly Great Pyrenees/Australian cattle dog mix puppy. His litter was left at the back door of a local shelter at just one week of age.  His foster mom saw a plea and brought him in to the Legacy Humane fold!  Flurry  loves to be played with, is attentive to his person, sweet and fun. He likes to climb in his foster mom’s lap for a snuggle. He also enjoys finding a quiet corner for a good nap. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is generally gentle and calm. He can be a bit shy in new situations but warms up faster if a nice doggy friend is around. He prefers a quiet calm home. He has a special love for his foster dad. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Flurry is potty trained in his foster home and is expected to learn the rules and setup in his new home easily. Flurry is hesitant with kids who are not calm but he is gentle. So far he does well with other dogs and cats. Flurry responds well to corrections from dogs and curtails his behavior accordingly. He would do best in a home with a yard.    Current weight: 26 lbs Projected weight 80+ lbs Crate trained    We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes his neuter, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative.  If you're interested in meeting or adopting him, please complete an application on our website and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours.  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Adopter will take puppy to an LHS approved vet to be neutered in July of 2025 per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance to Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code.  *Due to the high volume of applications and inquires for puppies as well as vetting needs, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.    We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Trip had to have his leg amputated as it healed improperly after it was broken while he was a growing puppy. However, he is one of the happiest, silliest boys you could hope to meet. He lives with many other dogs and is a favorite playmate for most of them. He loves all his canine buddies and is also fine around cats. Trip loves all humans he meets and would be a great addition to any home looking for a playful, outgoing dog. He is crate-trained primarily and will ask to go outside; however, he has not been able to stay up for longer than overnight without a potty break. He does not get many chances to go for car rides, but enjoys it when he can. Trip is fully vetted - current with all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered and microchipped.
