Please help us welcome Romy & Michele to Rescue Row! A kind person witnessed someone dumping 5 puppies on the side of the road in a damaged crate. They scooped them up and got to work trying to find homes for the pups. They successfully placed 3 in homes, and one of our board members was able to find a foster for the last 2! Romy and Michele were covered in fleas, and they were so infested that they had to be bathed multiple times to completely clear them up. We are guessing the puppies are 6-8 week old Great Pyrenees mixes.  If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org  *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2119246##

Story
Adopt Marvel! This 7yr old handsome male Pyr will melt your heart. After being left on a rural property, Marvel lived outdoors taking shelter under a porch since 2018. This January he was shot with an arrow, then treated for heartworm, and later required removal of his front leg due to soft tissue carcinoma. All of that is in his past! He is cancer free, has mastered being a tripod, and has the sweetest personality despite what he has been through. He deserves a wonderful low-key environment with humans that treat him like a king! Marvel starts his day with a giant wag of the tail and some Pyr "talk! Excited to eat breakfast alongside his two canine house mates. He loves other dogs. The three share sniffs and tail wags and Marvel takes his cues on what he is supposed to do from the other resident dogs. Despite living outside for years, Marvel is house broken and asks to go outside by standing by the door and "talking. He also responds to verbal correction, such as the word no if he tries to get on the couch. Relaxation is Marvel's main pastime; deservedly so! Where his people or dogs are is where he wants to be. Whether inside on some cushy carpet or outside enjoying some cool breezes he is a happy pup. That is not to say when he goes outside, he doesn't make the most of it. Marvel can now run on his three legs, tries to dig up some dirt with one front paw (working on that!), and will make sure your fence is safe from "intruders. Leftover from living outside, Marvel has a tendency to want to crawl under the bushes and trees as if to hide. A little coaxing and bit of chicken usually brings him out. A tall, secure fenced in yard is a must for Marvel. Understandably, Marvel takes a bit to get used to new people and environments. He is a submissive dog who amazingly still has the capacity to trust kind humans. Loud sounds and chaos stress him still; although he's getting much better, especially with the TV. Marvel will shake a bit and go to the furthest spot if anything is too much. Also, not a fan of the car, but he lies nicely in back seat with dog seatbelt in place. As for barking, which many Pyrs love to do, I have only heard Marvel bark when he has been put in a crate. He is not a fan. Other than that he is super quiet even when my dogs are barking! I've fostered many dogs and this guy has been the easiest in spite of former medical issues. Marvels requirements are now few but important to him: love, sweet talking, belly/ear rubs, kindness, patience, a nice yard with grass, another dog in the house, and soft indoor spots to lay on, and very little chaos. Marvel would be so happy to share a home with a quiet environment and a sweet resident dog. He has not been around young children or cats. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Meet Lavender: The Sweet and Playful Mama! Introducing Lavender, our two-year-old Lab Mix who's ready to find her forever home! Weighing in at 61 pounds, this lovely lady has been an amazing mom to our Era litter, and now that all her puppies have been adopted, it's her turn to find a loving family. Lavender was adopted from the shelter but was surrendered to our rescue when her owner discovered she was pregnant. Despite the change, Lavender has shown nothing but sweetness and love. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is fantastic with kids, making her a perfect addition to any household. This gentle mama is a blend of sweetness and playfulness. She loves to romp around the yard, play with her favorite turtle toy, and curl up for cuddles while you enjoy a good Netflix binge. She's currently working on some boundaries, but with her loving heart and nurturing nature, Lavender is sure to shower your family with devotion and joy. Lavender does have a quirky side: she prefers to dine alone in her kennel. Yes, this gal likes her meals served with a side of privacy! She can become protective with her food, so we recommend letting her enjoy her meals solo. To help with this and other training needs, her adoption will come with one complimentary training session. Lavender is eager to find a home where she can be pampered and loved as much as she deserves. If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts playful and gentle, Lavender is your girl. Adopt Lavender today and let her bring a little extra sweetness into your life! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Meet Mitts, a 5-year-old neutered male Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix who is the epitome of a love bug! With his calm demeanor and gentle nature, Mitts loves to give and receive hugs, making him a perfect cuddle companion. He's great on a leash and thoroughly enjoys his walks, making him an excellent partner for outdoor adventures. Mitts is dog-friendly and would make a wonderful addition to any family, whether you live in an apartment or a house. He knows basic commands, including giving paw, and is always eager to please, especially when treats are involved. One of Mitts' unique traits is that he actually enjoys being brushed, which is a good thing because he sheds quite a bit and needs regular grooming. If you have another dog at home, a meet and greet is required to ensure compatibility. If you're looking for a loving, calm, and well-mannered family dog who enjoys both affection and outdoor fun, Mitts might be the perfect match for you. Come meet Mitts and see if he's the right fit for your home!

Story
Hi!  I'm Zero!  I'm an approximately 9-month-old, female, Great Pyrenees mix who weighs around 88 lbs.  I am being surrendered to the shelter because my owner was not able to care for me.  I have spent my whole life in a home environment and am use to the air conditioned, pampered life!  I enjoy the company of other dogs but have not yet been introduced to cats.  I am 100% a puppy at heart and am looking for a family who has time to care for me.  Hope you like puppy zoomies!  My previous owner said I know many commands, come in a see what I know!  I do great with baths and love to be brushed.  I enjoy hanging out with children and love to play.  I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative!   If  you are interested in making me a part of your family, please visit Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society to fill out an application! We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Age: approx 3-4 years Weight: 76 lbs (ideal weight 85-90 lbs)  Lila was found stray and ended up at a very crowded city shelter. Her owners didn't come for her but her new foster mom did! She's now living the good life in a home until she finds her forever family. She arrived to the shelter with scabs on her nose and they are healing.  At the shelter, Lila was described as dainty and gentle and social with other dogs. Her foster mom says she's great on a leash and rides well in the car, and she actively seeks pets and attention. This happy girl has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She tested positive for heartworms and has been treated. We're certain she'll be adopted by the time she needs to be retested for heartworms in January, but we'll cover the cost of the test and any further treatment that may be required (likely none). We haven't seen her around cats and imagine she will be just fine in a family with children.
