Story
Hercules is a very sweet boy. He is 3 years old. He loves to jump and play, but loves to lay and cuddle equally as much. He does well with large dogs, and very docile cats, however he does not like small dogs or cats that hiss or swat or chase him. He knows simple commands, sit, come, lay, shake- but in true pyrenees fashion he ignores them if he wants to. He has an allergy to chicken- he has been fed diamond naturals since early puppyhood due to his allergy and has done great on it. He doesn’t get enough time with my busy work schedule. He loves kids and babies, and is trained to not jump on them. He is working on not jumping on adults and teens, but struggles due to how excited he gets. He loves to run and needs a big yard with owners who can spend time walking him and playing outside with him. Unlike most pyrs he does sleep at night, and is active during the day. He is crate trained as well, but does not require it anymore.

Story
***DFW area only-No Exceptions***   Available for pre-adoption with a go home date of 12/27/25. Flurry is a 6 weeks (as of 12/21/25) possibly Great Pyrenees/Australian cattle dog mix puppy. His litter was left at the back door of a local shelter at just one week of age.  His foster mom saw a plea and brought him in to the Legacy Humane fold! Since then, the pups have progressed from bottle feeding to solid food and are now ready for adoption! Flurry  loves to be played with, is attentive to his person, sweet and fun. He likes to club in his foster mom’s lap for a snuggle. He also enjoys cozy dog beds for a good nap. He has one blue eye and one gray eye and his nose is multicolored. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Flurry is working on potty training and, given a potty schedule, he does very well for his young age. Flurry  does well with kids old enough to understand puppy behavior (~8ys and up). So far he does well with other dogs and cats but may not be a good fit for cats as he grows. Flurry responds well to corrections from dogs and curtails his behavior accordingly. He would do best in a home with a yard.  This puppy has not had two sets of shots at this time. Adopters must have a private place for potty training to reduce the chances for life threatening illnesses until the second set of shots are given. No dog parks or shared potty spaces with unknown dogs.  Current weight 7 lbs Projected weight 70+ lbs Beginning crate training    We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes his neuter, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative.  If you're interested in meeting or adopting him, please complete an application on our website and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours.  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Adopter will take puppy to an LHS approved vet to be neutered in July of 2025 per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance to Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code.  *Due to the high volume of applications and inquires for puppies as well as vetting needs, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.    We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Trip had to have his leg amputated as it healed improperly after it was broken while he was a growing puppy. However, he is one of the happiest, silliest boys you could hope to meet. He lives with many other dogs and is a favorite playmate for most of them. He loves all his canine buddies and is also fine around cats. Trip loves all humans he meets and would be a great addition to any home looking for a playful, outgoing dog. He is crate-trained primarily and will ask to go outside; however, he has not been able to stay up for longer than overnight without a potty break. He does not get many chances to go for car rides, but enjoys it when he can. Trip is fully vetted - current with all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered and microchipped.

Story
This boy is so sweet and gentle. Great on a leash and has the most beautiful coat. He is a true charmer. This adorable little pack—Mom, Dad, and their three precious pups—were found abandoned and surviving together in a field. Despite their rough start, they’ve held onto their gentle spirits and loving hearts. Mom and Dad are a sweet, devoted pair who clearly did their best to protect and raise their puppies in the wild. Now safe and cared for, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful companions who just want a cozy home and someone to love them back. This remarkable little family has come so far, and now they’re ready for the next chapter—one filled with comfort, kindness, and forever homes. Could you be part of their happy ending? All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
