Story
Hello, my name is Cricket! I am a 9 week old male Lab/Great Pyr mix that weighs around 15lbs.I was found with what is presumed to be my sibling off State Highway 276 in Rockwall County on 7/16/26. Unfortunately, nobody came to reclaim me, so I came to the Rockwall Adoption Center to find my forever home. I am a sweet, affectionate puppy who would love a family with the time and patience to help me grow into a wonderful companion. I have been diagnosed with ringworm, which is a common and treatable fungal skin infection, not a worm. It can spread to people and other animals through direct contact, so I will remain contagious until August 16, 2026. I have already started treatment, and my adopter will simply need to continue my medication until it is complete. My adoption fee is $125 and includes my spay, rabies vaccine, microchip, first Bord/Dappv vaccines, and dewormer. Please note: I am required to return to the Rockwall Adoption Center on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, for my neuter surgery and rabies vaccine. This appointment is mandatory and part of my adoption contract. If you would like to make me part of your family, please submit an adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Once your application has been reviewed, our staff will contact you to schedule a meet and greet.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. July 27, 2026, 3:09 pm

Where did we get Zona? - We got Zona off of Craigslist when she was a puppy in 2022. What is her breed? - She is half Golden Retriever and half Great Pyrenees How old is she? - She’s 4 years old now About Zona: - Zona has a gentle personality and is wonderful with kids. She loves being around people and has been a great companion to our family. As our family continues to grow, we’ve realized we can no longer give her the time and attention she truly deserves. This has been a very difficult decision for us, and we want to find Zona a loving, caring home where she will continue to be loved and well cared for. We are hoping to find the perfect family who can give her the attention, affection, and stable home she deserves.

Story
Obi was a stray in our neighborhood that we rescued this past winter. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep him long-term - we have two other dogs, a cat, and a 2-year old toddler at home, so our house is already full. Obi is a puppy and has all of that puppy energy. As such, he needs a large yard or the ability to exercise.

Grizz (multi-color) A little more gentle but still playful this SWEET big boy is ready for a home that can keep his curious side happy with some training and routine activity! He has shown to be okay when sharing the same space as cats, kids and other dogs! He is up to date on shots, fixed and has the chip implanted (you have to update the contact information upon adoption)! He would benefit from a home with a big fenced in yard and an active family to keep him happy and healthy with plenty of playtime and affection!

Story
This handsome guy is gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he's close to his people. Whether it's going for walks, lounging on the couch, or simply following you from room to room, he just wants to be part of your life. He thrives on love, attention, and companionship, so he's looking for a family that has the time to devote to him and wants a dog who will be an active part of their everyday life.He would do best as the only animal in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. He's looking for a family who will make him their one and only, and in return, he'll be the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for.He isn't looking for perfection—just someone committed to giving him the time, patience, and affection he needs to truly thrive. In return, he'll give you unwavering loyalty, endless cuddles, and the kind of unconditional love that only a dog can offer. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped (transfer after adoption).

Story
Champ isn't just his name- it's who he is. This 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix (78lbs) has spent 472 days waiting as of 07/16/26, and through it all, he has never stopped believing that his person is out there. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee is just $75- but the loyalty, devotion, and heart he brings are truly priceless. Champ is the kind of dog who forms a deep, unbreakable bond with his person. He is incredibly people-focused and thrives when he has someone to call his own. Once you're in his circle, you're everything to him. He walks beautifully on a leash, is intelligent and eager to learn, and does best with structure, routine, and confident leadership. Champ would do best in a home with older children or adults who are comfortable with a large, strong dog. He is not a match for homes with cats or small animals. He loves going for walks but does not enjoy being in a yard alone. He may do well with a submissive female dog or thrive as the only pet where he can fully focus on his person. After more than a year in the shelter, Champ is more than ready to step into the life he deserves- a life where he is no longer waiting, but finally home. Champ is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative as of 03/27/26. If you're looking for a dog who will stand by your side, be fiercely loyal, and give you his whole heart, Champ is ready to meet you. He's waited long enough- now it's his time to win. Story
Meet Molly! Molly is a 6-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix weighing approximately 93 pounds who is looking for a calm, loving home to call her own. After spending 143 days in the shelter as of 07/16/26, she is ready to find the family she's been waiting for. She is now considered a Diamond Dog with adoption fee is $75. Molly is an intelligent, loyal, and deeply sensitive girl who forms strong bonds with her people. She is treat motivated, walks well on a leash, knows several basic commands, and even offers her paw for a shake. She also appears to be house trained and crate trained, making her transition into a home much easier. She would do best in a peaceful home with children 16 years of age or older or an adult only household. Molly is not compatible with female dogs but may do well with a calm, large breed male dog. A meet and greet is required for homes with a resident male dog. Molly is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on her rabies vaccination, and up to date on her basic boosters. If you're looking for a devoted companion with a gentle heart and unwavering loyalty, Molly may be the perfect addition to your family.
