Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Hi, I’m Rosebud! I’m a 4-year-old, 91-lb gentle sweetheart with a calm, friendly personality. I’m great on leash, I take treats very gently, and I’m happy to make new dog friends. I really enjoy spending time with older kids, and I love being around people who appreciate a mellow, loving companion. I’m the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side—easygoing, affectionate, and full of quiet charm. If you’re looking for a big, softhearted girl who will bring peace, joy, and lots of love into your home… I think we might be a perfect match. more information or to adopt, foster, or foster-to-adopt this pet, please contact Rowlett Animal Services  972-412-6219 or   AnimalServices@Rowlett.com.November 20, 2025, 7:00 am

He has shown to be okay when sharing the same space as cats, kids and other dogs! He is up to date on shots, fixed and has the chip implanted (you have to update the contact information upon adoption)! He would benefit from a home with a big fenced in yard and an active family to keep him happy and healthy with plenty of playtime and affection!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Rosemary!  Nicknamed “Rosie,” this girl was born around November 2020 and weighs healthy 75 pounds. We had her DNA tested!  She is 85% Great Pyrenees, 3% Anatolian Shepherd Dog, 3% Siberian Husky, 3% Saint Bernard, 2% Komondor, and 2% Maremma. She has the energy of a puppy and loves to play.  She she loves to give kisses and wields a strong Pyr paw! Rosemary gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves to play with them all. At mealtime though, she wants everyone else’s food.  We feed her separately so the others can eat in peace. She hasn’t been cat tested, but she lives with little dogs. She might be very interested when first meeting a cat, then would lose interest unless they try to eat her food. Rosie is house trained. We have begun crate training her.  She has progressed to crawling into the crate on her own.  She walks well on a leash.  She does well on car rides; she has a little trouble loading up, but then settles down for the ride. If you are looking for an energetic dog who will love you enthusiastically and keep you entertained, Rosemary could be the dog for you! SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Story
Meet Champ &#194&#150 The Goofy Gentleman & Adventure Pro! Been looking for a big dog with an even bigger heart (and just the right amount of mischief)? Look no further &#194&#151 Champ is your guy! Champ is a 2-year-old, 71-lb Anatolian Shepherd mix who was found near S. Goliad in Rockwall and never reclaimed. He's spent over 266 days (as of 12/22/25) waiting for his perfect match... and now he's officially a Diamond Dog, which means his adoption fee is just $75! A Quick Heads-Up Champ is a clever, curious boy who loves to explore, so he'll need a secure fence at least 8 feet tall to safely enjoy his backyard adventures. No chain-link or short fencing &#194&#151 this guy has hops and a nose for fun! Why You'll Love Champ Total lovebug &#194&#151 lives for snuggles and being close to his people Great with kids of all ages and is very gentle when playing. He also loves his toys and is very gentle with them as well. Best suited for a home where someone is home most of the day or works from home Not a dog who can be left alone in a yard all day &#194&#151 Champ bonds deeply with his people and can become anxious when separated for long periods Leash pro &#194&#151 walks like a champ (pun intended!) Loves toys, zoomies, and cozy nap spots Greets everyone with a wag and that signature goofy grin Champ may do well with another dog, but a meet & greet is required to ensure a good match. Medical Info Neutered Microchipped Up to date on vaccines Heartworm positive, but treatment is fully covered thanks to Rockwall PAWS If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who truly lives for his people, Champ is ready to make your heart his home.
