Story
Trip had to have his leg amputated as it healed improperly after it was broken while he was a growing puppy. However, he is one of the happiest, silliest boys you could hope to meet. He lives with many other dogs and is a favorite playmate for most of them. He loves all his canine buddies and is also fine around cats. Trip loves all humans he meets and would be a great addition to any home looking for a playful, outgoing dog. He is crate-trained primarily and will ask to go outside; however, he has not been able to stay up for longer than overnight without a potty break. He does not get many chances to go for car rides, but enjoys it when he can. Trip is fully vetted - current with all vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered and microchipped.

Story
Eloise loves people and kids and is a total cuddler. She’s never had issues with humans, though she may cower from unfamiliar men or run from the doorbell. She won’t jump baby gates or our 3-ft fence. She barks outside just to say hello and never steals food. She greets with nose boops instead of jumping and loves getting in the pool. We raised her with our cats and small dog, and she was great until about age two. Then she suddenly went after our small dog over lap attention. After repeated incidents, we separated them. She later began targeting our cats—sometimes ignoring them, other times lunging and clamping down if they slip past the gate. We’ve managed this for two years with strict routines and separation, but the behavior has worsened, so she now wears a soft muzzle indoors and a shock collar. She would do wonderfully in a home with large dogs and no cats. Her Instagram is @eloise_the_pyrenees

Story
This boy is so sweet and gentle. Great on a leash and has the most beautiful coat. He is a true charmer. This adorable little pack—Mom, Dad, and their three precious pups—were found abandoned and surviving together in a field. Despite their rough start, they’ve held onto their gentle spirits and loving hearts. Mom and Dad are a sweet, devoted pair who clearly did their best to protect and raise their puppies in the wild. Now safe and cared for, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful companions who just want a cozy home and someone to love them back. This remarkable little family has come so far, and now they’re ready for the next chapter—one filled with comfort, kindness, and forever homes. Could you be part of their happy ending? All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Merlin, like his name, is a wizard when it comes to getting out of normal fences. He is used to living on a big plot of land with very high fences. He is very sweet and is a fantastic guard dog, monitoring the land for any visitors. He has been with his bonded pair, a Morgana his whole life (about 5 years) and they love to play together. The ideal home would have no other dogs, a secure fence with room to roam and room for his bonded pair Morgana as well. I’d really want them to stay together.

We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2589749##
