Story
Meet Nami — a 50 pound, husky, part shepherd, part Olympic athlete, and 100% ready for her next big adventure. This stunning 2-year-old beauty is smart, energetic, and always looking for something fun to do. Nami already knows sit, but she’s still polishing her “best girl” skills and will need continued consistent training from a patient, active family who understands intelligent working breeds. Give this girl a job, a routine, and plenty of exercise, and she’ll absolutely thrive.Nami is not the kind of dog who wants to spend all day binge-watching TV on the couch. She’s looking for hiking buddy energy, backyard zoomies energy, “let’s go do something” energy. A bored Nami will quickly invent her own entertainment… and trust us, she’s creative.Speaking of athleticism: Nami has been observed jumping to the TOP of a 6-foot chain-link fence like she’s auditioning for the Dog Olympics. Because of this, she’ll need either a secure privacy fence and/or close supervision while outside. She’s incredibly intelligent and agile, so containment and structure are important for her success.Due to her breed mix and prey drive, we recommend a cat-free home. Kids should be 8 and up, ideally ones who understand how to respectfully interact with a high-energy dog. If you already have another dog, Nami would love to schedule a meet-and-greet to make sure the vibes are right. If you’re experienced with active breeds and looking for a loyal, brilliant, adventurous companion who will keep life exciting, Nami might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100.

Story
Juno is a handsome 7-year-old, 85 pound, Husky looking for an experienced, active home that understands and appreciates this incredible breed. Like many Huskies, Juno is intelligent, energetic, and happiest when he has a job to do or an adventure to enjoy.Juno loves going for walks and is a pleasure on a leash. He enjoys getting out and exploring, and he would thrive with a family that enjoys hiking, walking, or spending time outdoors. He also plays well with other large dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion of similar size and energy level.Because of his strong prey drive, Juno cannot live in a home with cats or chickens. He will need a secure environment when outside. Juno must either be kept on a tether or have access to a securely fenced yard with a minimum 6-foot wooden privacy fence. Huskies are known for their ability to escape and roam, so proper containment is essential.Juno is not a couch potato. He loves being outdoors and needs regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Puzzle toys, training activities, walks, hikes, and other enrichment opportunities will help keep this smart boy engaged. He is not recommended to go to a home with any small animals cats including.Juno is searching for a home with people who are familiar with the Husky breed and understand their unique needs. Huskies are wonderful companions, but they are not the right fit for everyone. The ideal adopter will be committed to providing the structure, activity, and supervision Juno needs to thrive. If you`re looking for a loyal, active companion to share your adventures and understand what it means to own a Husky, Juno may be the perfect match for you!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $50

Story
Ranger is a 3-year-old, 55 pound, Siberian Husky with a larger-than-life personality and enough energy to keep up with any adventure! This handsome boy is a bundle of fun wrapped in a fluffy fur coat, and he’s never met a stranger — Ranger truly believes everyone is his best friend. Whether he’s running around with canine companions, exploring the outdoors, or soaking up attention from his people, Ranger is happiest when he’s active and included in the fun.Like a true Husky, Ranger is incredibly smart and highly food motivated, which will make training both rewarding and enjoyable. He thrives with structure, activity, and positive reinforcement. Ranger would do best with a family committed to giving him plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and quality time.Because of his breed’s strong prey drive, Ranger is not recommended for homes with cats. He will also require a 6 foot secured fenced yard where he can safely burn off energy and enjoy outdoor playtime.Ranger’s thick double coat is beautiful, but it does come with grooming needs. Daily brushing and occasional professional grooming will help keep him comfortable, healthy, and looking his best year-round.If you’re searching for a loyal, outgoing, adventure-loving companion who will happily be your shadow and best friend, Ranger may be the perfect fit for your family! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100

Story
BrynOne look into Bryn`s breathtaking ice-blue eyes and you`ll understand why everyone falls in love with her. This beautiful one-year-old Husky/Pit Bull mix seems to sparkle every time the sunlight catches her stunning coat and crystal-blue gaze. While Bryn is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, she has already begun blossoming alongside her new canine friends here at MCAC. She arrived underweight, so right now she`s focusing on enjoying her meals and learning to take treats gently, and a slow-feeder will be a wonderful tool to help her continue building healthy habits. Bryn will also benefit from patient guidance as she polishes her manners and gains confidence in her new life. She`ll need adopters who understand that trust takes time and are willing to let her settle in at her own pace, celebrating every little victory along the way. Bryn is up-to-date on all vaccines and will be available through our foster-to-adopt program until after her spay appointment. Her adoption fee has also been generously sponsored. If you have a kind heart, a little patience, and room in your home for a shy girl ready to discover how wonderful life can be, Bryn is waiting to meet you.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED

Story
CosmoCosmo has every reason to believe that brighter days are finally ahead. This handsome 3- to 4-year-old Siberian Husky mix endured the heartbreak of being abandoned alongside his canine companion and left to fend for himself. Despite everything he`s been through, Cosmo still has so much love to give the people willing to earn his trust. Because he spent most of his life with just one other dog, he`s still learning how to navigate friendships with new canine companions and would do best with a calm, lower-energy dog that is happy to simply coexist. A home without cats will be the best fit for this sweet boy. Cosmo absolutely loves the water, enjoys stretching his legs on walks, and once the day is done, he`ll happily curl up beside you for cuddles on the couch. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and preventative care and will be available through our foster-to-adopt program until after his neuter appointment. Cosmo is hoping his next chapter is filled with patience, kindness, and a family that promises he`ll never have to wonder where home is again. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED

Story
Hi, I`m Snacks, and if there`s one thing you should know about me, it`s that I absolutely love treats! They’re the quickest way to my heart.I`m a young, energetic girl who`s still learning the ropes when it comes to playing with other dogs. I get so excited to run around and have fun with my canine friends, and I`m continuing to build my social skills. With patient guidance, I`ll keep growing into a great playmate.People are my favorite, too! I love to play, and you`ll often see me doing adorable play bows to invite you to join in. When playtime is over, I`m a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys spending time with my people. I also have lovely leash manners and enjoy going for walks.Because I`m an active, intelligent breed, I wouldn`t be the best fit for apartment living. I`ll thrive in a home where I have space to stretch my legs and an adopter who understands the needs of my breed and can provide the structure, enrichment, and exercise I need to be my happiest self.If you`re looking for a fun, loving companion who`s ready for adventures, treats, and plenty of playtime, I might just be the perfect match. I can`t wait to meet my forever family! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $150
