Story
Good golly Miss Molly!  This young lady was Simon's (already adopted) mom.  But her mothering days are over, and she's looking for someone to take care of her this time.  Actually, she will still do her part to take care of you too - by providing lots of love and cuddles. Molly is estimated to be 3 years young, and weighs 47 pounds.  She has been spayed, is heartworm negative, and is up to date on her vaccinations.  She is described by her TX foster as being an "absolute sweetheart" of a pup.  She gets along well with children and with other dogs.  She just needs a place to call home!   If adopted, Molly will come to the NJ area on our next transport. Personality: friendly, affectionate Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs.  Has not been cat tested yet. Training: unknown at this time Estimated date of birth: February 2023 Weight: 47 pounds Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport. Story
Bear is young, handsome, big boy who is fully of energy.  He's a total sweetheart who is very friendly with people and other dogs.  He loves to run and play (especially wrestle).  But most importantly, Bear needs a home. He was dumped in a cemetery (a known dumping area of dogs, yes, can you imagine ) in rural Texas.  He was just sitting there day in, day out, all alone, and our hearts just broke.  He was taken in by Animal Control and brought to the shelter - the same shelter that fills up quickly, and no one ever adopts the dogs from there.  When it came time to make room for new dogs, the killing was about to start.  We were lucky that we were able to save 6 dogs from there, including this boy, Bear. He is currently being fostered in TX, but needs to find an adopter or foster in the NJ area.  He has already been neutered and vaccinated, and he tested negative for heartworm. We believe he's a German Shepherd and Lab mix, who is around two years old and weighs 63 pounds. The best fit will for Bear will be with an adopter who has experience with the breed and who is willing to work with him.   Due to his energy he would do best in a house with a fenced yard so he can run, and we think older kids are better (just because he might knock young kids over due to his size/energy). Personality: energetic, friendly, playful, affectionate Good with: people, and dogs.  Has not been young child or cat tested yet. Training: unknown at this time Estimated date of birth: February 2024 Weight: 63.7 pounds Medical: vetted, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport. Story
Matilda is around a 1-year-old lab mix that is a young, gentle soul that the foster considers an almost perfect girl. She weighs approximately 44 lbs and is fully grown. Matilda was found roaming around a neighborhood along the Texas/Mexico border. Unfortunately, there are thousands of strays in this area, and it is very normal to have dogs hanging out on the corners, looking for scraps, water and just some place to lay down. A good Samaritan noticed Matilda (and a few other dogs) close to her home just roaming around for a couple weeks, and decided she wanted to help them. Matilda and Chico are 2 of the many dogs our rescue has stepped up to help her with. It looks like Matilda was tied up outside at some point as she had a broken rope around her neck, where it looks like she broke free from the restraint. Unfortunately, despite laws, so many people chain their dogs up outside in rain, shine or freezing cold weather and dogs do what they need to survive. Nobody ever came looking for her, nobody cared, until the good Samaritan. It didn’t take long for Matilda to come around and show her beautiful personality. At first, she was a little shy, as she was unsure what to expect when she was taken off the street and brought to a new home. Who knows if prior to this she was ever an inside dog or even knew human love. She has flourished into a loving, sweet, kind dog that just loves and appreciates everyone and everything. As you can see in the pictures, she doesn’t even mind getting dressed up! Matilda has learned how to walk on a leash and does wonderful on it now. She is crate trained and house trained, YAY! Matilda loves other dogs and would do wonderful in a home with other dogs or without them. The foster says she is medium energy, she is not a super active dog, but she is still young and would love her walks around the neighborhood and some exercise. Another dog, or dogs, that is medium energy would be best, but she doesn’t mind either way! She has met cats and she is not bothered by them at all. If anything, she is more scared of them than they are of her (please see video!) Matilda loves toys and would love her own toy chest one day. The foster has given her some stuffed monkeys, and she adores it and just chews on it gently, which almost seems more for comfort than anything else. If you’re looking for a smart, well trained, loyal, amazing, gentle, and an all-around perfect 44 lb family dog, please consider Matilda. Matilda is spayed, she is current on age-appropriate vaccinations including parvo/distemper, bordatella and the rabies vaccine. She is heart worm negative, dewormed, microchipped, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Story
MEET RONDA! The foster mom says about this incredibly sweet and wonderful girl: "... she is good with everyone! She is a complete darling -- super loving and affectionate." Ronda is an amazing shelter survivor, doing incredibly well in her foster home. She is with few other dogs and LOVES them. She LOVES her humans, too. She is learning some basic commands but is very food motivated and picks it up quickly. She already know the house routine and does very well. She is truly a sweetheart that just wants to be loved! AND she is a great, petite size at about 35 lbs. She may be fine with cats, right now she is a bit "scared" of them, other times she isn't bothered. Ronda is about 2.5 yrs old and weighs about 38 lbs. She is UTD and spayed, chipped. Please note that Ronda does have limited vision in one eye from a previous unknown injury. It doesn't stop her at all! Have questions? Want to visit? Please contact reboundhounds@gmail.com and her rescue will get right back to you, thanks! RONDA IS IN PITTSTOWN, NJ

Story
Alexa is a 4-year-old, 65-pound black Lab/Weimaraner mix with a loving heart and a joyful spirit. She’s gentle, affectionate, and other medium and large dogs. Whether she’s greeting new friends or relaxing with her people, Alexa’s sweet nature always shines through. She’s an energetic girl who loves to play, especially if you have a ball to toss her way. During playtime with other dogs, she can get a bit rambunctious, but she responds well to verbal correction and quickly settles down. Alexa does pull on the leash, so she’ll benefit from some training to help her master polite walking skills. With a little guidance, she’ll make fantastic strides. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion who brings warmth and enthusiasm to every moment, Alexa is ready to join your family.  Alexa will be best with older respectful children who can help teach her.
