Story
Meet Snuggles, the affectionate 1 1/2-year-old, 48-pound lab mix with a heart as big as her name suggests. Coming all the way from Mississippi, Snuggles spent her entire life thus far in a shelter until fate smiled upon her and she found herself rescued by Peace4Paws, where she was finally embraced by a loving foster family. This is her first taste of what a real home feels like, and she's thriving in the warmth of companionship. Socialization is second nature to Snuggles, who happily interacts with her sister and other dogs, wagging her tail in delight at every new friend she makes. Her love extends to people too, showering them with kisses and hugs, eager to bond with her newfound human companions. However, life beyond the kennel is still a mystery to her, and she's eager to explore it further with a forever family by her side. Initially timid upon arriving in New Jersey, Snuggles has blossomed with patience and care. Richie from Greta Trains Dogs attests to her remarkable transformation, noting how she quickly shed her nervousness to embrace trust and adjust to her new surroundings. Despite spending considerable time in pens and kennels, Snuggles maintains her playful spirit, finding joy in outdoor adventures and car rides alike. Now, she seeks a second chance at a life beyond the four walls of her former enclosure, yearning for the love and stability only a forever family can provide. Rest assured, Snuggles is spayed, fully vetted, and up to date on all her shots, boasting a clean bill of health according to reports and observations. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet soul, visit www.peace4paws.org and submit your application using a laptop or computer. Snuggles can't wait to embark on this new chapter of her life with you.If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Introducing 5 year old Raven, the three-legged wonder dog, who's 55 pounds of pure loving and ready to steal your heart. Hailing all the way from the bluegrass state of Kentucky, Raven made her grand debut at our rescue group in the past. Raven's journey took a turn when she found herself in the loving embrace of a beautiful, amazing, and oh-so-loving senior owner. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, sharing love, laughter, and plenty of belly rubs along the way. But alas, fate had other plans, and Raven's beloved owner recently passed away. Now, as Raven's world turns upside down once again, she finds herself in need of a new forever home. But fear not, because this playful pup is more than ready to bring some silly shenanigans into your life. With her loving nature, beautiful soul, and infectious energy, Raven is the life of the party wherever she goes. This tripod dynamo may have only three legs (from a leg injury that was never correctly tended to), but Raven has taken it in stride like a true champion. Great on the leash, fantastic with people and dogs alike, and with her sweet disposition, she is sure to be wonderful with feline friends as well. Housebroken and trained to perfection, Raven is the definition of everything you could ever want in a companion—and then some. Sure, she may have had a little mishap back in Kentucky that resulted in her becoming a member of the tripod club, but let me tell you, she's taken it in stride like a true champion. So if you're ready to add a little fun and a whole lot of love to your life, then Raven is the perfect pup for you. Reach out to our rescue group today to begin the adoption process and let the fun-filled adventures begin! With Raven by your side, every day will be a paw-some adventure! If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Introducing Pebbles, your 18-pound black lab mix and soon-to-be loyal companion! At just six months old, I'm already making waves with my silly puppy personality and fun loving energy. My early days were a bit rough in Kentucky, as I was discovered alongside my four siblings, all alone and in need of love and care. Thankfully, we were rescued and have been receiving heaps of attention and treats ever since. My foster family here in NJ says I'm a social butterfly through and through, getting along famously with cats, dogs, and kids alike. But I'm not just a goofy little gal - I'm a quick learner (already on my way to being house trained), with a thirst for knowledge. Whether its mastering new tricks, perfecting my leash manners, or having some fun in the car, I'm always eager to please and quick to pick up new things. Rest assured, I'm up to date on all my age-appropriate vaccines, setting me off on the right paw towards a healthy future. However, as my new family, you'll be responsible for completing my remaining vaccinations and ensuring I'm spayed at the appropriate time. With my friendly nature, adorable personality, and unwavering love for life, Pebbles is the perfect addition to any family. Apply for adoption today at www.peace4paws.org. Please note that applications must be submitted via laptop or computer. If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Raskel was adopted and was renamed, Creed. He was recently returned to us. Although he showed no interest in cats while in a foster home in TX with his new family, they say he was "aggressive" towards the cats. We are a little confused, but we decided that cats for Raskel-Creed will be a NO for his new home and no small animals of any kind. We feel it's better to be safe. Raskel-Creed is a very strong young boy. He occasionally pulls on the leash, but we are working on that. He is crate-trained but doesn't like to stay there long periods of time. He knows basic commands like sit and stay. His former adopter said he is affectionate and loves attention. He has energy and loves spending time outside in the yard, hiking, joining as a running mate, or doing any outdoor activity. We want to find a forever home for Creed! He deserves it! Background - A lady brought this boy, asking us to take him in. She saw him in the streets for two and a half weeks. A neighbor didn't like the idea of a dog in his neighborhood and started shooting to kill him. The poor dog got so scared that the lady was able to catch him. She tried to find his owner if there was one, but no one came for him. The family who found him was on vacation and returning home, so they couldn't keep him. In that home were two young kids. The boy named him Raskel. The little girl cried when they left him behind. Raskel shows no interest in cats and is ok with other dogs. Check the video we added of him playing with Holly. He's walking nicely on a leash. He is extremely sweet and loving. Good with everyone And most of all, he needs a good home!! We vaccinated him, and he was neutered and microchipped. The vet said he is about two years old and weights 59lbs Adoption application https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 Foster Application. Story
Meet Potsie! Potsie, one of four siblings we pulled from a shelter that, like most shelters, is always full and needs to make place for more dogs by killing those who've been the most extended waiting. Fonzie was only six weeks or so when he and his siblings were scheduled to die. We got the notice and got them out to safety. Potsie, like his brothers, is full of life and energy. They like to wrestle between them and the little pig until they get tired. That's the time for a good sleep before food, another long round of playing and sleep. They get vaccinated as per their age, dewormed, and microchipped. They are too young to get the rabies Vax or be neutered. As with all puppies, they are funny, loving, playful, and love attention. They are being trained to use pee-pads. In mid-April, he weighs only 7 lbs and still somewhat doesn't feel secure enough with people. He will need love and patience and, in no time, will feel happy and safe. About eight weeks old. We are unsure about the breed mix, thinking maybe Heeler and Lab. We like them to find a home as soon as it is safe because the adjustment is so much easier on them. They are currently fostered in Texas. They can come to your home on our next transport on May 11th.
