Story
Meet Riley, the irresistible 8-week-old black Lab/Hound mix searching for his tribe. Weighing just 5 lbs, Riley is a tiny bundle of intelligence and charm. This sweet pup's journey hasn't been easy-- due to circumstances beyond his control, his previous owner could no longer keep him. She deeply cared for Riley and wants nothing more than to ensure he finds the best possible forever home where he'll be cherished and loved. Despite his young age, Riley is impressing everyone with his potty training progress. While he occasionally forgets to step outside for a pee break from his crate during the day, he has never once soiled it with number 2. At night, his foster mom say he's been the perfect sleeping buddy in bed, peacefully snoozing without a peep or accident. Riley truly has a heart of gold and adores playing with other dogs and cats alike. Riley's foster family describes him as incredibly smart—he's already mastered sitting and is eager to learn more tricks, especially when treats are involved. While Riley is up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations, his new family will be in charge of keeping him on schedule for future care, including getting him neutered when the time is right. Could you be the perfect match for Riley? If you're ready to open your heart and home to this silly little guy, apply for adoption today at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application. Riley is eagerly waiting to meet his new family and begin a lifetime of happiness together. If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Prepare your heart for Bentley, a 50 pound 2-3 year old Yellow Lab mix whose journey is etched with hardship and hope. Found saddened and lost on a desolate Kentucky highway during the bitter chill of winter, Bentley's story begins with fear and uncertainty. It took the kindness of a stranger to scoop him up from the cold pavement, offering him solace and care amidst the freezing temperatures. Veterinary attention and the gentle touch of compassion ensured Bentley's survival, but his journey was far from over. Now, Bentley stands as a testament to resilience, his once-fearful eyes now filled with a glimmer of optimism. Despite his tumultuous past, Bentley's spirit remains unbroken. In the hands of a devoted trainer, Bentley has begun to blossom. He has been making great strides with training and learning his manners. Bentley now knows sit, down, place, learning heel, walks on loose leash, recall is good, and also does some tricks such as spin, roll over and leg weaves. His trainer mentioned that Bentley truly just likes to have fun and is eager to please. While Bentley's heart knows no bounds, his path forward is in need of the same amount of love that he has to give. He's also dog-friendly showcasing his loving and happy nature. He prefers a child free home where he will get all the attention to soothe his weary soul.   As Bentley prepares to embark on his journey, he carries with him the weight of his past and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. If you have the heart to offer him his sanctuary, don't hesitate—please apply for adoption at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application from a laptop or computer. In his eyes lies the reflection of a soul in need, a spirit yearning for the warmth of a loving embrace. Story
Raskel was adopted and was renamed, Creed. He was recently returned to us. Although he showed no interest in cats while in a foster home in TX with his new family, they say he was "aggressive" towards the cats. We are a little confused, but we decided that cats for Raskel-Creed will be a NO for his new home and no small animals of any kind. We feel it's better to be safe. Raskel-Creed is a very strong young boy. He occasionally pulls on the leash, but we are working on that. He is crate-trained but doesn't like to stay there long periods of time. He knows basic commands like sit and stay. His former adopter said he is affectionate and loves attention. He has energy and loves spending time outside in the yard, hiking, joining as a running mate, or doing any outdoor activity. We want to find a forever home for Creed! He deserves it! Background - A lady brought this boy, asking us to take him in. She saw him in the streets for two and a half weeks. A neighbor didn't like the idea of a dog in his neighborhood and started shooting to kill him. The poor dog got so scared that the lady was able to catch him. She tried to find his owner if there was one, but no one came for him. The family who found him was on vacation and returning home, so they couldn't keep him. In that home were two young kids. The boy named him Raskel. The little girl cried when they left him behind. Raskel shows no interest in cats and is ok with other dogs. Check the video we added of him playing with Holly. He's walking nicely on a leash. He is extremely sweet and loving. Good with everyone And most of all, he needs a good home!! We vaccinated him, and he was neutered and microchipped. The vet said he is about two years old and weights 59lbs Adoption application https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 Foster Application.
