Story
Meet Miss Frankie! She is a 1.5 year old black labrador retriever mix weighing in at 40 lbs. Frankie is as sweet as can be! She is good with kids, adults and large dogs. Things Frankie loves: snuggling, ear scratches, her big bone, car rides (especially on the way to Starbucks for her pup cup fix!), playing with other dogs, then sleeping on her back with all four paws in the air. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Marcia is incredibly smart, is food motivated, and knows sit, stay, and crate. She is fully crate trained and sleep all night, she is fully potty trained and can use a doggy door with no issue. We have 2 kids and she plays with them well, however, she can become a little rough. She loves to play with other dogs and does well at dog parks and doggy day cares, we are unsure about cats at this point. She does well on a leash but can become skittish around other barking dogs and needs some coaxing to move forward. She loves her bone and lamb chop toy - she will play fetch but hasn&#39t grasped the concept of dropping the ball yet. She is lovable and friendly to anyone she meets and is a bundle of happiness. Marica is still a puppy and sleeps more often than not, but still loves to play, go one walks and play at the dog park. She needs an owner or family that will continue to train her (as she has the potential and learns extremely fast), love on her constantly, and continue to socialize her with other dogs and people. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Macie is a happy pup with a big smile and kind heart. She has grown up with her family and has helped them welcome 3 babies in the world! She's been wonderful with all three kids (now ages 2.5 through 4.5). Macie isn't one for fetch, but she does love to play tug of war and go on moderate walks. Macie also likes being near her humans most of the time, and can usually be found on the floor around them. She also has a fur sister that she's lived with for 7 years. Unfortunately, her fur sister has some health problems and has grown intolerant of having Macie around. Therefore, Macie is seeking a new home where she can be loved for years to come. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
These two are a bonded pair and must stay together. Max is 5 and Champ is 7. Champ was hit by a car and had a leg surgery that left him with a limp but that doesn't slow him down one bit. They were raised around kids.  When surrendered they had been kept as outside dogs their entire lives, but kept escaping. They have been inside dogs since October, and you'd never know any different. They get along and play very well with other dogs. They deserve to be the center of attention and will do best with a family who will work with them and train them. They know basic commands like sit and they come when called. Max and Champ are the happiest, loving boys who have never met a stranger. They deserve a family who will smother them with all the love they can handle, but who will also train them and break them of their attempts to escape. Both Max and Champ are participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Diego is an 11-year-old mixed breed who is a constant source of joy, loyalty, and unconditional love. Diego is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate companion who thrives on human interaction. Despite his age, he still has moments of playful energy. Diego has always had a special bond with our children, making him an ideal family dog. He&#39s particularly good with very small children, patiently allowing them to pet and play with him. His gentle nature and love for cuddles have made him a loving companion for our little ones. Diego&#39s happiest moments are spent snuggled up with his favorite humans. Though Diego is now a senior dog, he still enjoys engaging in light play and loves to be involved in whatever is happening around the house. He&#39s always been a dog who loves attention and affection, and he will happily follow you around, hoping for a belly rub or a scratch behind the ears. Diego knows basic commands, making him a delightful and easy companion to have around. Diego has so much love left to give, and we&#39re confident that he will bring warmth and joy to the home that welcomes him. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment).
