He had every right to be cranky, but he turned out to be a sweet, easygoing guy. We suspect he’ll upgrade to happy-go-lucky after a spa day and few more Muttville meals. He can be found exploring headquarters, making friends and seeking affection with a signature chill vibe. Despite some vision impairment, he navigates like a Navy seal, has plenty of energy for walks, and appreciates a lift on the stairs. Expect no drama from this very good boy – just love, hijinks and many admirers. Here are some notes from his foster: "Brick is a laid-back, easygoing pup who takes life in stride. He has a calm, gentle presence and is happiest when he can simply enjoy the moment. Whether he is stretched out for a long nap or quietly observing the world around him, Brick brings a peaceful energy to the home. Meet Skipper! He is a very sweet loving dog who does take time to adjust to his people and new environments. He likes to go anywhere his people are and is always down for an adventure. He does require another dog in the home as he look at them for comfort and direction. He is use to a pack of dogs and would be happy to have siblings. He has been around a cat and didn't mind her but might chase to play. He is currently in foster with a staff member from Milo and goes on hikes in Tilden with her dogs and he does really well. His recall is a work in progress but with treats he will be by your side. He has the best zoomies and has opened up a lot! She is working on getting him comfortable with the car as he can get a little car sick but he is getting a lot better and working on his confidence building. He loves to play with both people and dogs, play fetch, hide and seek, and more! He has a lot of energy but will do anything to cuddle by your side. If you are looking for an active small dog who will also lay by your side, he is your guy!

These castaways washed up on Milo’s doorstep sick and terrified. With proper medical care, good food and daily attention, they are slowly learning they are safe. It’s taking us time to work through the shyness, but it’s very evident that they just want to be with people they love. With patience and TLC, these sweet Shih Tzus are blossoming into loving companions. Gilligan is the quirkiest of this bunch. He is independent but has made huge progress since arriving at our adoption center.
