I LOVE having my foster doggy sibling to hang around with. My foster mom thinks that I would be best in a home with another pup to keep me company. I am working hard on potty training and am ALMOST there! I just need to remember poop while I am outside! Hellooooo world! Meet Mabel – the mini poodle mix who packs a punch of energy in to her little frame!  Miss Mabel gets along with everyone and everything - she plays with dogs of all sizes, does well with children of all ages and doesn’t even react to small critters (note she has not been cat tested).  Her daily goal is to romp with her doggo brothers (even taking it down a notch with her senior brother) and because that brings her so much joy it is recommended this little lady is placed in a home with another canine companion.  She isn’t much of a vocal girl unless she’s feeling playful.  Speaking of playtime…bring on the toys.  ALL of them!  Lady Mabel isn’t choosy when it comes to toys – Kongs, bones, stuffies, balls – but she does need to be occupied or her puppy brain may just find one of your shoes to occupy herself.  Whoopsie!  I mean, she is a lady after all and ladies love their shoes.  Amiright? When it comes to bedtime little Mabel is a very affectionate girl and will seek you out for cuddles before falling asleep in your arms.  She will kennel during the daytime while her foster is at work, but she is reluctant and it’s not her preferred place.  With her people is where she wants to be!  She is housetrained and is an overall confident, happy girl. I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    I’m fairly new here but have been gaining confidence by the day!  As with most dogs, when I first meet someone, I’m a little shy and timid.  I’m really curious inside and want to be near so it’ll just need a bit of time to know that you’re a safe space for me.  I’ve been learning about trust and now I’m more apt to stay put than run, when approached.  Once I’m picked up I just melt right in for love.  That’ll likely be my personality all the time once I know you’re my people.  I’ve just started sleeping on my foster’s leg and inching my way up to hopefully a lap soon. In my spare time I enjoy eating and playing with other dogs.  I’m trying hard to follow along and go potty outside but as close as I am to getting the hang of it, I might need a little transition time to learn it at my forever home too. I do well in the kennel and am working on going inside on command.  Won’t that be a neat trick?! I do need a fenced yard in my forever home. When it is time to put on a leash and harness, I get worried. We are practicing how to stay put nicely to put on a harness without bolting.  HAHA  I’m tricky like that.  I haven’t really had any true leash walking experience so that’s something we can practice.  I do know the command for “stay” which is what I’m told when they want to wrangle me in the harness.  I have been snarky with some of the other dogs here when it comes to my food.  I have to tell them to buzz off, that it’s mine.  That seems to be all it is, as I’m not aggressive.  I can be an only dog too if you’d like.
