Story
We are Feather, Gus, & Dale. We are Pug Schnauzer mix. Mom is 100% Pug & dad is Schnauzer/mini Poodle. We are 10 weeks old & our days consist of playing with siblings & taking naps. Because we are still young, my mom wants everyone to know that we will need help with potty-training because we are new at it. Being 50% pug means we will shed. Even if you think maybe we won't because of our Schnauzer genes, it's better to assume that we will, because pugs shed a lot, so we won't be good in a home with someone with allergies. We are very playful. We are not crate-trained, although we do sleep in a playpen with each other. We’ve never been alone before, so we will probably cry until we get used to it or maybe someone will adopt who has a friend for us. Mom expects to get lots of interested families for us, so we apologize if we don't respond right away. Tell us about you. Your location, your current pets, your work schedule & any info about your household. We are neutered, chipped & vaccin

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. Story
Finley  is a dapper little guy who loves affection, being held, and prancing around on his long little legs. He may take a few days to warm up and can be a bit skittish at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet, loving personality really shines. Finley is gentle, kind, and affectionate, and he does beautifully with other dogs and even young children. Once he settles in, he is simply full of love to give Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Mostly Describe how they are on a leash?  He was not leash-trained when we rescued him, but we are working on it. Describe how they are with other dogs?  Playful, sweet, and snuggly. Finley enjoys hanging out with our three small resident dogs and running back and forth with them during fetch. He is very food motivated, so we feed them separately to ensure everyone gets their share. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Not sure, but suspect he'd do well with cats. Commands they know?  Comes when called, usually goes potty outside when told to. What are their favorite things?  Love, snuggles, and your lap. Finley is happiest when he is being held by one of his people and will climb into your lap whenever he gets the chance. He also loves pets and will gently tap you with his paw to politely ask for more. Finley is a big fan of food and treats and is just starting to discover the fun of dog toys. What do they need to work on?  Needs practice walking on a leash. Has not yet learned how to climb stairs, but is happy to be carried up and down them. Nearly potty trained, just occasional accidents. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  Finley does well in his crate while we are away at work and school. He has been alone most of the day. He will occasionally bark or howl along with our resident dogs when they hear noises outside. Where do they sleep?  In his crate downstairs. He will sometimes howl, but overall has adjusted well and goes to bed easily. He would love to be welcomed into the big bed. What is their ideal home?  Finley would do well in any home that is full of love, with people ready to dote on him. He's great with other dogs, gentle and loving with children, and friendly with visitors. He will be a wonderful addition to his forever family. The Adoption fee is $325.  For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs, please complete our online adoption application at www.everypetsdream.org/adopt (http://www.everypetsdream.org/adopt). We will have everything we need to know to call you back and set up an appointment.  Follow us: Facebook and Instagram  March 13, 2026, 8:42 pm
