I love playing and making friends, though I'm a bit protective of my food around other dogs. I'm energetic and super friendly, perfect for someone who loves fun and adventures. Story
Ricky is an 11 month old, 15 lb Pug. He may look like he is angry or sad, but that's just his usual "resting Pug face"! He was living with 5 other Pugs, all relatives of some kind, together. He never went outside of the house, and only was introduced to grass and a yard recently. He is in a foster home with other dogs, learning how to be a dog. He is learning about toys (squeaky ones are his fav), collars. and leashes, but still has more to learn. Ricky enjoys sitting by his fosters for some cuddles, but he is still learning boundaries, so be prepared for him launching himself onto your lap when you least expect it! He will be a little shy at first, but he is becoming more outgoing every day. He would probably do well with another dog that can help show him the ropes. Ricky will need conttinued potty and crate traing, but he he is so worth it! If you are interested in Ricky, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
My name is Ozzie, and I am 1.5 years old. 16 lb Pug. Before I cam to Humane Tomorrow, I was living with 5 other Pugs, all relatives of some kind, together in a house. We never went outside of the house, and I know now what a mess and how unhealthy that was. Now I am in a foster home, with other dogs, but we go outside into a yard, and my foster family has been teaching me what doggies are supposed to do. I’ve learned a lot in the last few weeks, but still have more to learn. I’m a little mouthy – using my mouth and teeth sometimes (just to play), but still probably not a good fit with young kids. I’ve discovered that I especially like to play tug with my people, but sometimes I get a little overstimulated when I play. So, just let me win and call the game! I get along well with the other dogs in the household most of the time, and have discovered I like to chew on nylabones. I like to sit with my people, cuddling with them and sometimes I like to get up high on the top of chairs so I get a view of everything around me. I am still getting used to this thing around my neck (collar) and walking on a leash, but I like it in my foster home with all the attention I’m getting. I am crate trained, but any new home will need to continue my house training. I’ve been wearing a belly band while I figure things out. If you are interested in me, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Meet Jay – Big Personality, Bigger Heart  Meet Jay, a tall, 40-pound bundle of joy who might be part pug, part Aussie—and 100% personality. This energetic boy loves his toys and takes his self-appointed job of protecting the yard from bunnies, squirrels, birds, and even rogue leaves very seriously. He’s a true zoomie professional, both indoors and out, and would thrive in a home with another playful dog to burn off his energy (but no cats, please—he finds them far too interesting). Jay does best when meals are served on opposite sides of the room from his furry siblings, and he’s kennel trained—though his favorite sleeping spot is definitely the bed with his human. Fair warning: a little snoring may be included. He walks fairly well on a leash but pulls with enthusiasm, eager to explore everything the world has to offer. He’s great with the dog-savvy 3-year-old granddaughter in his foster home, but because Jay can get excited and zoom right past little ones, a home with older or dog-savvy kids (and no fragile seniors) would be ideal. He has some strong “accidental linebacker” energy when he jumps up to say hello. Jay is a sweet, loving boy who’s learning better manners every day. With continued structure, patience, and love, he’ll make an amazing companion for an active household ready to embrace his joyful spirit. ##2353867##
