Story
Ricky is an 11 month old, 15 lb Pug. He may look like he is angry or sad, but that's just his usual "resting Pug face"! He was living with 5 other Pugs, all relatives of some kind, together. He never went outside of the house, and only was introduced to grass and a yard recently. He is in a foster home with other dogs, learning how to be a dog. He is learning about toys (squeaky ones are his fav), collars. and leashes, but still has more to learn. Ricky enjoys sitting by his fosters for some cuddles, but he is still learning boundaries, so be prepared for him launching himself onto your lap when you least expect it! He will be a little shy at first, but he is becoming more outgoing every day. He would probably do well with another dog that can help show him the ropes. Ricky will need continued potty and crate training, but he he is so worth it! If you are interested in Ricky, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
My name is Ozzie, and I am 1.5 years old. 16 lb Pug. Before I cam to Humane Tomorrow, I was living with 5 other Pugs, all relatives of some kind, together in a house. We never went outside of the house, and I know now what a mess and how unhealthy that was. Now I am in a foster home, with other dogs, but we go outside into a yard, and my foster family has been teaching me what doggies are supposed to do. I’ve learned a lot in the last few weeks, but still have more to learn. I’m a little mouthy – using my mouth and teeth sometimes (just to play), but still probably not a good fit with young kids. I’ve discovered that I especially like to play tug with my people, but sometimes I get a little overstimulated when I play. So, just let me win and call the game! I get along well with the other dogs in the household most of the time, and have discovered I like to chew on nylabones. I like to sit with my people, cuddling with them and sometimes I like to get up high on the top of chairs so I get a view of everything around me. I am still getting used to this thing around my neck (collar) and walking on a leash, but I like it in my foster home with all the attention I’m getting. I am crate trained, but any new home will need to continue my house training. I’ve been wearing a belly band while I figure things out. If you are interested in me, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Nothing is more fun than a Pug!!! Colby (alias Cheesehead – IYKYK) is a silly, fun dog that loves attention. When he came into his foster home, he was at first a little hesitant, but he got over that quickly and his cuddly personality is coming out. He loves to be around people, following his foster parents around the house and yard. He is not into toys as much as the other pugs in the household, but he does like chewies (nylabones and benebones). He gets along with the other dogs most of the time (occasionally he and his brother – we think- Ozzie get into a tiff – a bit of sibling rivalry), but he gets along with all the other dogs in the home, sometimes playing chase. Colby is more of a follower than a leader and as such would do better in a home with another confident dog, or someone who has experience with dogs and their training. He is still adjusting to new things (like big trucks driving by, sirens, watching birds and squirrels, hearing the grandfather clock). Colby is one of 6 pugs that Humane Tomorrow took in who had little socialization or exposure to the outside world. He is learning about everything at breakneck speed and figuring out what it all means. He is a little cutie that just wants to be loved. We are working on house training, walking on a leash and other basic commands. Whoever adopts Colby will need to continue these lessons. If you are interested in Colby, please complete an application and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Five-year-old Tic Tac is a charming, fawn winky pug with a heart as big as his bark! While he can be a little cautious at first, once he warms up, this Velcro pug loves nothing more than cuddling up next to his favorite person and showering them with kisses. Tic Tac enjoys toys, puzzle games, and snuffle mats—and occasionally shows off his silly side by proudly parading around with socks or shoes he’s “borrowed.” He is about 90% house-trained, crate-trained (though he’s not a fan of it), and walks well on a leash—just be sure his harness is snug because he’s been known to wiggle out when something’s caught his interest! Tic Tac gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, but he’d prefer a home with a canine buddy and patient humans who understand he sees the world a little differently due to limited vision. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion with a goofy streak, Tic Tac is your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. To learn more or apply, visit www.dfwpugs.com.

Story
One-year-old Martina is a lively, fawn girl bursting with playful energy and personality. This high-spirited sweetheart loves tug-of-war and thrives on interactive play. She gets along with everyone she meets and brings joyful enthusiasm to every room she enters. Martina is very treat-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. Martina is house-trained, crate-trained (sleeps soundly in her crate at night) and has beautiful mealtime manners. She walks on leash but is still working on curbing her enthusiasm—especially learning not to jump when excited. With patience and consistency, she’s eager to continue improving. Due to her sturdy build and high spirits, Martina would do best in a home with older children and someone patient who can help her channel her energy. She could thrive as an only dog or with a playful canine companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, active girl ready to grow and learn with you, Martina is ready to leap into your heart! ****** All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Puppies younger than 6 months are not eligible for out-of-state adoption.
