We love this dog so much but we now live in a 55 and older apartment. It’s not fair to him. He is 6 years old. We have had him since he was 9 weeks old. He is a sweetheart but does not like other dogs or cats. He has never attacked any but he will bark and growl at them. He is not fond of small kids because they can be aggressive. He has never bitten anyone. He really hs been a house dog and never been around other animals or children till we moved into the complex. He is a very lovable dog. He does love sitting on your lap. If he sees a lap he jumps on it. He is a great watch dog. He hears something and will bark. He also loves watching television. He watches more tv than we do.He does have a problem with potty training. We have tried everything to no avail. We just cannot fight it anymore since we moved into an apartment. So beware of this. We are 79 and 86

Albert was a victim of a dog attack. It damaged one of his eyes to point of removal. He has also undergone surgery for liver shunt, a congenital issue that is now corrected. We also did a nip and tuck of his good eye to protect it from harm. Basically, he is better than new and looking for someone to love him as he deserves. For a puppy, he is NOT a crazy boy but does love to play with his toys. He will need continued socialization with other dogs and structure as all kids do to know what is desired behavior. Cute as a Shih Tzu, independent as a Lhasa Apso. Smokey is a loving boy who wants to please and have a human to guide him in his life. As a young dog, he will need structure and guidance to be the best dog he can be. If allowed to do what he wants and be placed in a role of leader, he will act out under the pressure. Smokey is crate trained and must have a young, active player in the home. He is too much for aging pets. At this time, though he loves kids, we do not want him in a home with younger children. Experienced lhasa owners only. His adoption will include consultation with a trainer who has won the heart of Smokey due to her loving leadership and undestanding for the uncertainty he experienced in his early life.
