Story
Pringles is a 3-year-old, 9-pound Shih Tzu who is loving, joyous and enthusiastic. He is soft and cuddly, and he makes an excellent lap, couch or bed companion. Pringles lives in a house with 6 other dogs and gets along well with all of them. He’s happy to either play with them or leave them alone, as each dog desires. He’s also people-friendly, though he takes a minute to warm up to new people. Pringles is very affectionate. He loves lap space when he can get it, and he snuggles into Foster Dogmom’s feet at bedtime. He runs circles around Foster Dogmom when she gets home, even if she’s only been gone 5 minutes. He likes to explore the backyard for about 10 minutes, then promptly come back into the house to hang with his person. Pringles has his manners down. He is house-trained, though you will want to stay on him when he first comes to your house to make sure he doesn’t get lax about it. He is totally non-destructive. He rides well in the car. He is not food aggressive. He is not particularly barky and would do equally well in a house or an apartment. His ideal home would have another dog for companionship. No small children because he still has a little of his puppy mouthiness about him. Pringles’ adoption fee is $275 and includes neuter, all shots & microchip. He is heartworm-negative and on heartworm medication. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.

Story
Farley is a very happy boy who loves his people. He is estimated to be about 6 years old, and 13 lbs. He is an easy lap size, and does like to sit on your lap, but he is also content to be hanging out in the same room with you on a doggie bed. He is very treat/food motivated, possibly because he was quite underweight when he came into rescue. He likes to play with toys, especially stuffies, but hasn’t shown much interest in fetch. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, although he is at a disadvantage because he is deaf, but that doesn’t seem to slow him down. Farley is so cute! Especially when he does a funny little dance when he gets excited (his Chris Farley dance – think SNL) – sometimes spinning in circles, especially at feeding time or when you first get home. He walks on a leash. When he tries to get into something he shouldn’t, all it takes is a touch on him to catch his attention, make eye contact and direct him to something else more appropriate. He can be crated, although that is not his favorite, and at night, he typically sleeps on the bed (his foster parents caved because he is just too cute!) But because he likes to get into things, he does need to be crated when you are not home (he has gotten onto tables when he thinks there is food there). He may not be good in an apartment because when he first realizes he is alone, or when he is crated, he can panic and bark. He loves to be outside – if his people are there. If people are not outside with him in the yard, he will go out to do his business, and then wants to come back inside right after. If you are interested in Farley, please submit an application and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Cougar is a darling older adult who unfortunately was not protected from heartworms and is currently being treated for them. He is very active and loves to pal around with his buddy, Tiger. He had no structure in his previous life, so is working on good potty manners.

Story
As a true Cowboy, he has legs that are a little bowed out and a stocky body. Though initially he is shy to be picked up, he is happy and walks with a wiggle that looks like he is dancing. Cowboy will just need some patience. His hair will be beautiful, even though he is currently sporting a crew cut due to lack of care in his previous life.
