💙 ADOPT CHEWY 💙 This little squishy love bug is the SWEETEST fella!! He loves all dogs and people, we haven’t seen him with cats, but he’s completely unbothered by friends. We think he’s a 3 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie Mix and weighs about 9 pounds. He’s not a huge fan of crates but if you leave or go to sleep, he’ll lay down and chillax. He LOVES belly rubs and snuggles and bath time is pretty easy too. Chewy came to us as an emergency rescue, from DAS, because he had a hernia, after being attacked by a dog. Thanks to many amazing FURiends, that was corrected by surgery, and infection was cleared up from his leg. His hair has all grown out beautifully and filled back out. Chewy’s been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated. He’s on Pro-Heart Heartworm prevention and Bravecto flea/tick prevention. Hi! I'm Earl! I'm an approximately 10 year old, male, Black and White Shih Tzu mix who weighs about 21lbs. I was brought to the shelter in hopes of finding my furr ever home! I am looking for a loving home to spend my golden years. I am mostly blind, if not completely and have some trouble hearing, so I will need a home who is understanding and willing to help me around the world. In spite of my imparities, I walk great on a leash and enjoy exploring a backyard. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, currently on my rabies vaccination and basic boosters. I am microchipped and heartworm negative! We call this little family of terriers the Magnolia Park surrender. A woman living in a trailer park who recently had a stroke, is recovering but one of her dogs had puppies and it was all too much. She ended up surrendering all her dogs once learning they were in good hands. We have mom, dad, 4 babies and three other young pups that are most likely related. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. In my previous life I was a breeder dog so I’m a bit timid, and will need someone with patience that will help me adjust and become confident in my new home. My foster mom says I’ve made a lot of progress. My potty manners are usually pretty good, but still have an occasional accident. I do know how to use the dog door. I learned that quite quickly! I like to roll around on the carpet and play with my hooman sister’s scrunchies. I love having my ears and booty scratched. I get along with other dogs but I don’t really play with them, they’ve just been teaching me how to be a dog. I love to eat and sleep in my bed.
