Story
Hi… I’m Toby Keith, I am a 6 or 7 year old Shih Tzu. Sadly my family didn’t care enough about me to keep me safe and I found myself at an animal shelter. No-one came to take me home. Apparently that’s not unusual but I’m a special boy – You wouldn’t know it but I’m completely blind and the Vet told my foster mom that I had been blind for a long time. My foster mom said I didn’t act blind and my eyes look perfectly normal but I can't see. I love it when she lets me cuddle beside her and sometimes she lets me sleep with her. I am looking for a home with a family who will love me forever even though I am blind. Its OK if my new home has another dog as long as its a similar size as me.. I like cats and older kids as long as they know how to treat animals. I can completely navigate around my foster home, including going to the back door but I do need some work with house-training so I will need someone to be home often with me. Apart from not being able to see I am in good health and will make you a loving companion for many years. If you think you would like to be this sweet boy’s new home, go to our website and complete an adoption application. His foster mom will contact you as soon as possible. We are asking that applicants live within 15 miles of zip code 75035 (Frisco). Toby is a ShihTzu so he doesn't shed but will need brushing and periodic professional grooming

Story
Rari was born on 8/27/17. He’s 18 a pound  Shih Tzu mix. He’s very sweet, but doesn’t like sudden touches from strangers, so he would be best in a quiet home - preferably retired and home more than not.. He’s super calm and not a barker, but will bark when strangers come to the door or meets new people. He’ll get nervous with thunder and rain, but as long as he is with his people he is fine. Rari loves attention and love. He’s extremely well mannered, potty trained, and can be home alone for long periods. He’s never been crate trained and chills at home without tearing a single thing and will not have accidents inside. Rari is sweet and loving and we are looking for someone that will love and care for him the rest of his years. He’s loyal and will follow you around, but most important - he will love you!       ##2012486##

Story
Mabel is an 8 year old, 12.5 pound Shih Tzu mix who was found as a stray, fending for herself, in need of attention, shaking, and afraid of human touch. In the time Mabel has spent in her foster home she has shown us that there is hope! This very quiet, sweet girl loves to learn from the other dogs in the home. She dances around the kitchen at meal time, wags her tail, licks her foster parents hands, and is happy as can be as she makes baby steps towards appreciating affection. Mabel is housebroken with regular outings. To set Mabel up for success, a quieter home without small children and another dog to learn from would be ideal. If you would like to adopt Mabel, please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, check made out to Rescue Row or Zelle / Venmo): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2013758##

Story
Tilly is a sweet and social dog who is making great strides with proper management and understanding. She requires a patient and compassionate foster who is willing to continue working alongside her to help her reach her full potential. If you're looking for a furry companion with a unique charm, Tilly might be the perfect match for you!Reason For Foster: Behavior - Foster to AdoptFoster Care Plan: Tilly struggles with what is called Abnormal Repetitive Behavior. This is similar to compulsive behavior but limited to more specific instances and triggers. Her main repetitive behavior involves spinning, chasing her tail, and attempting to bite her tail. During these episodes, Tilly can sometimes be redirected with verbal cues. However, it's crucial not to physically intervene as this may escalate the behavior.Tilly is in a foster home where between medications and routine she is very well managed. She would do best in a calm and quiet environment with no children. She is social with both dogs and cats; however, playing with them can cause her to become over aroused and more prone to episodes. Other than overstimulation, Tilly is also sensitive to her back end being handled including that her tail has historically been able to trigger episodes. Being mindful of these sensitivities as well as keeping her tail trimmed short has been effective management of these two triggers.Tilly will go home with medication and will have a behavior consultation at pickup, so you are fully prepared to care for this sweet girl. I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting foster or that are under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster to Adopt program, sign up to be a foster online and express your interest in Tilly We can schedule a pick up and meet and greet appointment. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/

Story
Rocco and Murfi are a pair. We won't be rehoming them with anyone unless they take them together. They won't survive without eachother. Rocco is the small dog-he's the boss, and Murfi is the big black and white dog, he is scared of balloons, and his own reflection, and being without Rocco. Murfi is not neutered, Rocco is. They are two really wonderful sweet, loving dogs that deserve more than what we have been able to give them. We have 3 kids, and the last two are about to graduate and we are typically too unavailable to do much of anything with them and I want Rocco and Murfi to experience a life where they can run around and enjoy their freedom out of a crate. They are used to being crated almost all day everyday at times and it makes me so sad to see them locked up like that. They almost seem too comfortable in their crate.
