Story
Meet “Material Girl” Taffeta! Sweet Taffeta is a 7-year-old girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. She is a very shy, scared little girl, but we’re already seeing glimpses of the sweet dog underneath that uncertainty. Taffeta is learning so much by watching the other dogs around her. Their confidence is helping her discover that she doesn’t have to be afraid, and she is making progress every day. We’re still getting to know this precious girl, but we have a feeling it won’t be long before she realizes that people can be trusted and starts making her way over for some love. Taffeta will need a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. She may not be the girl who runs up to greet you on day one, but watching a shy dog learn to trust and blossom is one of the most rewarding things in rescue. She may be a little scared right now, but this little Material Girl has plenty of love waiting to be discovered. Taffeta is still writing her story—and we can't wait to see how beautiful it becomes. Please apply at tzuzoorescue.com if you are interested in adopting from Tzu Zoo Rescue. More information available by contacting tzrinquiries@tzuzoorescue.com. [NOTE: We are a rescue NOT a shelter, meaning WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY THAT OPENS TO THE PUBLIC. Typically, an application and home visit (both of which are required for adoption) MUST be completed, BEFORE a potential adopter will be introduced to one of our pets, in order to first determine that our basic adoption requirements are met, prior to introductions being made. We also utilize personal reference and vet checks (to ensure that any pets already in the potential adoptive home are current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and sterilized) in our adoption process, all of which is intended to ensure that the best match, between pet and people, is made. The adoption fee is based on on the dog's age.

Story
At approximately 15 years old and 10lbs., Toby is the most gentle, sweetest, and laid-back senior fella you could hope to meet. You might call him a couch potato — and you’d be absolutely right! His favorite place to watch the world go by is on his very own couch, and he even prefers to sleep on it. If that means moving the couch into the bedroom, he certainly wouldn’t mind. Toby has cherry eye in both eyes, so his vision is a bit limited, but he gets around just fine. He just needs his eye drops twice a day. While his hearing may seem limited, we suspect it might be a little selective — because he does respond when he feels like it! He may need a little encouragement at mealtime, but adding some boiled chicken on top usually does the trick. Sometimes he even enjoys taking a few bites right from your hand. Toby is very quiet, sleeps through the night, and is completely potty trained. This sweet little senior is simply waiting for that special person or family who will welcome him into their home and hearts so he can spend his golden years feeling safe, loved, and comfortable. Please apply at tzuzoorescue.com if you are interested in adopting from Tzu Zoo Rescue. More information available by contacting tzrinquiries@tzuzoorescue.com. Story
Meet Linen Collins! Looking for a little sidekick who’s always ready to join you? Linen may be your girl! At about 2 years old, Linen — is a sweet, curious little girl who bonded with them very quickly. She truly is a companion dog, equally affectionate with everyone in her foster household and happiest wherever her people are. She loves to follow them around and “help” with the daily routine. Linen has a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed. She loves chasing her ball and playing with Lamb Chop, but is just as happy curling up next to her people for a nap. She sleeps through the night, rarely barks, walks nicely on leash, and is mastering her potty manners. She’s also a great little adventure BFF! Linen loves car rides and outings — whether it’s shopping at HomeGoods or Petco, or hanging out at a local café while her humans grab a matcha and she enjoys a pup cup. Linen’s hair is growing back beautifully — soft vanilla with touches of caramel and gray — and we can’t wait to see her full glow-up! Linen is looking for a family who wants more than just a pet — she’s a little sidekick, cuddle buddy and best friend, with just enough sass to keep you smiling. Please apply at tzuzoorescue.com if you are interested in adopting from Tzu Zoo Rescue. More information available by contacting tzrinquiries@tzuzoorescue.com.
