Story

Meet Milrany! Named after the Melissa road where she was found, Milrany has quite the story, and an even bigger personality. After overcoming some serious medical challenges, she's healthy, happy, and making up for lost time with adorable zoomies that will have you wondering if she's really 5 years old. Milrany is sweet, smart, and incredibly devoted to her people. She can be a little cautious when meeting someone new, but once you've earned her trust, you've got a loyal best friend for life. She loves other dogs, gets along with cats, and is perfectly happy cheering on the big dogs from the sidelines while barking encouragement. She's house-trained, sleeps happily in her crate next to her foster mom's bed, and would be thrilled to graduate to snuggling in bed with her forever family. Most days, though, she's content to curl up in a soft dog bed, keep an eye on her favorite person, and sneak in a few cuddles whenever possible. Milrany has a permanent puppy face, adorable poodle-like fur that hardly sheds, and a PhD in begging (we're working on that!). She doesn't need a ton of exercise—just regular potty breaks, a cozy place to nap, and someone to love. If you're looking for a loyal little companion with a zest for life and enough sweetness to melt your heart, Milrany is ready to meet you! Stats: 5 years old, 10 lbs, spayed, low exercise, low shedding, dog and cat friendly, diet: C/D dog food

Story

💙 MEET BUNG! 💙 Bung is a sweet 8-year-old gentleman with an irresistible smile and a heart full of love. This little charmer has one main goal in life: to be someone’s shadow… literally. 😂🐾 If you get up, Bung gets up. Going to the kitchen? He’s coming. Bathroom? Obviously, you need supervision. Settling onto the couch? Make room for Bung! Bung is diabetic, but his diabetes is well managed with insulin. He doesn’t let it stop him from being the loving, happy boy he is. He’s affectionate, devoted, and ready to find his person — preferably someone who doesn’t mind having the cutest little shadow following them everywhere. ❤️

Story

Meet “Material Girl” Taffeta! Sweet Taffeta is a 7-year-old girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. She is a very shy, scared little girl, but we’re already seeing glimpses of the sweet dog underneath that uncertainty. Taffeta is learning so much by watching the other dogs around her. Their confidence is helping her discover that she doesn’t have to be afraid, and she is making progress every day. We’re still getting to know this precious girl, but we have a feeling it won’t be long before she realizes that people can be trusted and starts making her way over for some love. Taffeta will need a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. She may not be the girl who runs up to greet you on day one, but watching a shy dog learn to trust and blossom is one of the most rewarding things in rescue. She may be a little scared right now, but this little Material Girl has plenty of love waiting to be discovered. Taffeta is still writing her story—and we can't wait to see how beautiful it becomes. Please apply at tzuzoorescue.com if you are interested in adopting from Tzu Zoo Rescue. More information available by contacting tzrinquiries@tzuzoorescue.com. [NOTE: We are a rescue NOT a shelter, meaning WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY THAT OPENS TO THE PUBLIC. Typically, an application and home visit (both of which are required for adoption) MUST be completed, BEFORE a potential adopter will be introduced to one of our pets, in order to first determine that our basic adoption requirements are met, prior to introductions being made. We also utilize personal reference and vet checks (to ensure that any pets already in the potential adoptive home are current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and sterilized) in our adoption process, all of which is intended to ensure that the best match, between pet and people, is made. The adoption fee is based on on the dog's age.

Story

Meet Beautiful Twizzler! Twizzler is gorgeous! She is around a year old and weighs 12-pounds. A little Shih Tzu girl who is ready to find her forever family! She has great potty manners—she rings the bell when she needs to go out and knows how to use a doggy door. She sleeps nicely on her dog bed, although she would much rather snuggle up with her humans! Twizzler gets along wonderfully with other dogs and, because she is still young and playful, she needs another younger dog in the home to keep her company. This beautiful girl has lots of love to give and is looking for a family who will make her part of theirs forever! Story

Obie is a 5-year-old, 17-pound sweetheart who came to us after his family requested euthanasia due to a severe skin condition. Thankfully, the veterinary staff stepped in and contacted Tzu Zoo Rescue, giving him a second chance at life. He is currently being treated for a yeasty skin infection and is already well on his way to recovery. Despite everything hes been through, Obie remains a happy, gentle little guy with a wonderful temperament. He gets along great with other dogs, is house trained, and truly loves everyone he meets. Obie is a resilient, affectionate companion who is ready to leave his past behind and start a new chapter in a loving forever home.
