Adorable senior surrendered to the shelter because owners were facing health issues and having to leave her alone. She is so cute and so sweet and ready for her new lease on life. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. Rari was born on 8/27/17. He’s 18 a pound  Shih Tzu mix. He’s very sweet, but doesn’t like sudden touches from strangers, so he would be best in a quiet home - preferably retired and home more than not.. He’s super calm and not a barker, but will bark when strangers come to the door or meets new people. He’ll get nervous with thunder and rain, but as long as he is with his people he is fine. Rari loves attention and love.He’s extremely well mannered, potty trained, and can be home alone for long periods. He’s never been crate trained and chills at home without tearing a single thing and will not have accidents inside. Rari is sweet and loving and we are looking for someone that will love and care for him the rest of his years. Hi… I’m Toby Keith, I am a 6 or 7 year old Shih Tzu. Sadly my family didn’t care enough about me to keep me safe and I found myself at an animal shelter. No-one came to take me home. Apparently that’s not unusual but I’m a special boy – You wouldn’t know it but I’m completely blind and the Vet told my foster mom that I had been blind for a long time. My foster mom said I didn’t act blind and my eyes look perfectly normal but I can't see. I love it when she lets me cuddle beside her and sometimes she lets me sleep with her. I am looking for a home with a family who will love me forever even though I am blind. Its OK if my new home has another dog as long as its a similar size as me.. I like cats and older kids as long as they know how to treat animals. I can completely navigate around my foster home, including going to the back door but I do need some work with house-training so I will need someone to be home often with me. Apart from not being able to see I am in good health and will make you a loving companion for many years. Meet handsome Simba. He is almost 4 years old, weighs 15lbs, and is a pure bred Shih Tzu, with beautiful white and brown hair, green eyes and a cute brown nose. Simba was bought from a pet store. He is up to date with his vaccinations and is neutered. 

Simba is a loner dog who loves to lounge around and sleep. However, he can get into playful moods. He has not interacted with other dogs or cats but does bark at them from far. Simba can sometimes get protective over his food and treats and is therefore not very good with kids. An ideal home for Simba would be one with no other animals (as he likes the attention to himself), no children, and a confident dog owner. 

Simba is house trained to go potty on pee pads and knows basic commands such as â&#194&#128&#194&#156sit, down, and paw.â&#194&#128&#194&#157 He loves to stick his head out the window during car rides. Simba can growl and get aggressive sometimes but with proper training, there is no doubt that he can be a lovely dog. Once he truly gets to know you, he loves you.
