Dior came to DPS with her sisters Chanel and Prada after the trio were found as strays. Terrified at the shelter, Dior arrived in foster care trembling, unsure, and overwhelmed. With time, reassurance, and a calm home, she has blossomed into a devoted, affectionate, silly little companion who wants nothing more than to love her person with her whole being. Daily Routine & Home Life Dior wakes up quietly in the morning and patiently waits until her foster gets up around 7:30–8 AM. Despite having food available overnight, she waits for “real breakfast”—her kibble topped with a little chicken— and she happily gobbles it down. After breakfast, she heads outside where she has her own little routine: first poop, then after a pause, her morning pee. Dior LOVES yard time, which is where her confidence really shines. She runs, sniffs, explores, and listens for squirrels (her favorite hobby). Throughout the day, she rotates between her comfy pillow indoors and little backyard adventures. Dinner is right at 5 PM— kibble with salmon oil, which she adores. Before bed (around 11 PM), she heads out once more for her nighttime potty. Personality: A Timid Princess Who Just Wants Love Dior is a tiny princess with a gigantic desire to be loved. She is a classic “shoulder dog”— she loves to perch on your shoulders on the couch while you rub her tummy. She will lay on her back for hours if you keep rubbing her belly. In her first days, Dior shook from fear, unsure of the world and startled by sounds, new people, or new places. But her desire to connect is strong— she wants so badly to be a “good dog”—and she tries her absolute best in every situation. She ALWAYS comes when she hears the word “come,” no matter where she is. She bonds quickly and deeply. If you look at her, her tail starts wagging. If you walk in the room, she lights up. If you sit down, she will be gently asking for a tummy rub within seconds. Dior is fine being home alone when needed; she has been left for up to 6 hours and kept her room clean and tidy. Other Dogs & Social Life Dior has done beautifully with the gentle 24-lb Cavalier in her foster home. She didn’t try to play, which the Cavalier appreciated, but followed her around respectfully like a sweet little sister. She can be timid when meeting new people, and the only times she barks are when she feels unsure and wants to alert or protect her family. With time and patience, she warms up. Playfulness & Energy Dior is the perfect blend of playful and cuddly. She loves chasing ping pong balls—she leaps, spins, and proudly carries them back to her bed to “hide” them. In the evenings, she is all cuddles: snuggled next to her human, rolling on her back for tummy rubs, and eventually sneaking under the blanket to sleep. Walks & The Big Outside World Leaving her home property is scary for her. Cars, people, and new dogs overwhelm her. When she freezes, her foster simply picks her up, and Dior feels safe enough to watch the world from their arms. She will eventually learn to enjoy walks at her own pace, but it will take patience. For now, she’s happiest exploring her yard. Ideal Home Dior would thrive with someone who enjoys spending time with their dog, whether at home, at work, or out and about. She’s quiet, unobtrusive, and incredibly loyal— an easy companion who wants nothing more than to be near her person. A gentle dog friend would be lovely but not required. She could do well with respectful kids, though small children or elderly adults should know she may weave underfoot or jump against legs in excitement. Why Dior Is Special Dior is one of those “heart dogs”—the kind who just wants to adore and be adored. She’s obedient, eager to please, and incredibly affectionate once she feels safe. If you look at her, she wags. If you call her, she comes running. If you sit, she crawls onto your shoulders for love. A Favorite Foster Moment Her foster introduced her to a ping pong ball one day—and Dior instantly became a pro athlete. She chased it, leapt into the air, retrieved it proudly, and carried it to her bed as if it were treasure. That’s Dior in a nutshell: tiny, sweet, eager, loving, silly, and so very proud of herself. If you’re looking for a small, gentle, deeply devoted companion who will adore you endlessly, Dior is ready to be your best friend.November 14, 2025, 11:37 am
