Adoption fee: $650 Meet Caddie: Your Loyal Little Shadow with a Big Personality   Caddie is a 10–12 month old, 10-pound Yorkie-type mix who was rescued from a shelter and is now ready to find the person he can devote his whole heart to. This charming little guy is equal parts playful companion and snuggly sidekick, with a personality that shines brightest when he’s close to his favorite human. He’s the kind of dog who will make you feel chosen every single day.   Daily Routine   Caddie starts his day when his person wakes up. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate in the bedroom and is comfortable there as long as he knows his human is nearby. In the morning, he heads out for a walk to take care of business and stretch his legs. He enjoys getting his day started with some fresh air and movement.   Mealtime took a little creativity at first, as Caddie prefers not to eat from deep bowls. Once his foster discovered that he enjoys meals served on a shallow plate or mat, he settled into a consistent breakfast and dinner routine. He’s now eating reliably and looks forward to his meals.   During the workday, Caddie relaxes in a playpen with the two other small dogs in the home. While he may voice a few initial complaints when his person leaves, he settles in and spends the day resting and observing his surroundings. When his person returns home, he greets them with joyful enthusiasm, followed by an evening walk, dinner, and cozy downtime. On weekends or work-from-home days, he happily wanders around the living room, keeping close to his people and canine friends.   At bedtime, Caddie willingly trots into his crate, especially when it’s turned into a fun little game with treats. He’s learning cues like “sleepy time” and “go to your room,” and he sleeps peacefully through the night.   Personality   Caddie is deeply loyal and forms strong bonds with his person. From the moment he arrived in his foster home, he attached himself to his human and has remained a devoted companion ever since. He loves physical closeness and will happily position himself right at your feet while you cook, work, or relax. If you’re sitting down, he’s likely to be nearby— or better yet, touching you.   He is affectionate, cuddly, and always ready to give kisses. One of his most endearing habits is dramatically rolling onto his back the second he senses a chance for belly rubs. It’s a performance worthy of applause every time.   With new people, Caddie can feel overwhelmed at first and may bark when visitors arrive. With patience, structure, and continued positive socialization, he is learning that new people can be safe and predictable. He does best when given space to settle and observe at his own pace.   He also shows a tendency to be protective of his person when being held, so his foster family is helping him build confidence and practice calm behaviors around others. The good news is that he does not guard food or toys, and he is making steady progress with guidance.   Social Life   Caddie truly enjoys the company of other dogs. He lives with two small dogs and quickly learned to respect the boundaries of the resident senior dog, while forming a playful friendship with the younger one. When introduced to a friendly medium-sized dog at a social gathering, he jumped right into play mode and spent the evening happily wrestling, running, and exploring. When he first arrived at DPS, there was another (medium sized) dog present, and he and Caddie were instant besties who spent two hours playing non-stop!   Because he enjoys canine companionship so much, Caddie would likely thrive in a home with another playful dog. He also may enjoy activities like doggy daycare or regular playdates where he can burn off energy and socialize.   He has met a calm, respectful 7-year-old child and remained comfortable in that setting, though he did not actively seek interaction. As with many dogs, gentle and dog-savvy children would be the best match. He may need time to adjust, so giving him both space and treats will be key.   On walks, he shows curiosity about neighborhood cats and may attempt to chase, so careful introductions would be important in a home with felines.   Energy and Play Style   Caddie is a playful, energetic young dog who loves toys, games, and bursts of activity. He enjoys chasing toys and proudly carrying them around, sometimes even bringing them along on walks. Socks are a particular treasure if left unattended.   Despite his playful nature, he also has a wonderfully snuggly side and is perfectly happy to curl up on the couch for a quiet evening. He strikes a lovely balance between active fun and cozy companionship.   Leash Skills   Caddie walks beautifully on leash during one-on-one outings. He tends to stay close to his person, listens well, and responds to interaction.   Home Life   Caddie is crate-trained, comfortable in a playpen, and respectful of household items. He enjoys chewing on toys but has not shown interest in destructive chewing.   Like many alert little dogs, Caddie will enthusiastically join in when the household dogs bark at outside noises or when guests arrive.   Why You’ll Love Caddie   Caddie is the definition of a best friend in the making. He is loyal, affectionate, funny, and full of personality. His dramatic belly-rub performances alone are enough to make anyone smile, and his devotion to his person is truly special.   He’s a playful little companion who can keep up with adventures during the day and transform into the ultimate cuddle buddy at night. For the right family, Caddie won’t just be a pet— he’ll be a constant, loving presence by your side.April 14, 2026, 1:33 am

Adoption fee: $650 Meet Gadget & Gizmo   Gadget and Gizmo are 11-13 week old Terrier-Chi mixes, and they are exactly what you would hope for from a pair of young pups: playful, curious, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. These little sisters are still babies who are discovering how fun life can be— whether that means wrestling with toys, chasing their canine friend around the house, or curling up together for a cozy nap.   Daily Routine   Like most puppies, Gadget and Gizmo thrive on a predictable routine.   Their day usually begins bright and early around 6:00–6:30 AM, when they wake up and get some time out of their pen to stretch, play, and take a potty break. Breakfast is served around 7:00 AM, and once their bellies are full, the fun begins.   Mornings are often spent playing with each other, toys, and their foster sibling Ollie, a friendly 22-lb doodle who has quickly become their playmate and role model. They can happily wrestle, tug toys, and zoom around for a couple of hours before crashing into their first nap of the day.   Puppy life means plenty of play followed by plenty of rest. They have another meal around 1:30 PM and then dinner around 8:00 PM. Throughout the afternoon and evening, the sisters rotate between energetic play sessions, exploring, and recharging with naps.   After their final burst of evening zoomies, they settle down for bedtime between 9:30–10:00 PM. During the day they spend time in their pen in the living room, and they also sleep there at night.   Personality   Gadget and Gizmo may pretend to be shy for a minute, but it's all an act. After a few minutes, their affectionate and playful personalities shine and they're your new best friends!   Both girls are big-time cuddlers who love snuggling with each other and with their people. While they aren’t constant “velcro” puppies, they are curious and like to check in on what their humans are doing. They often wander over to investigate interesting sounds or activity and happily settle nearby when they feel comfortable.   Gizmo   Gizmo has a delightfully dorky personality and tends to make people laugh with her antics and expressions. She’s confident, goofy, and always ready for the next round of fun. If there’s roughhousing happening, Gizmo is almost certainly the one who started it! And once she's done, she's ready to curl up in your lap for a nap. Play hard, snooze hard!   Gadget   Gadget is curious and adventurous in her own way—she likes to climb onto surfaces, investigate new spots, and explore her environment. She’s a little princess who knows how to get attention when she wants it, and her persistence and charm make it hard not to spoil her.   Playtime & Energy Level   These girls are still young puppies, so they naturally have bursts of playful energy followed by long naps. They love wrestling with each other, chewing on rope and rubber toys, and playing tug-of-war.   They are currently teething, which means they enjoy chewing appropriate toys and may occasionally test out things like rug edges or mats if toys aren’t nearby. Providing plenty of chew toys will help guide them through this normal puppy phase.   When they’re not playing, they transform into sweet, sleepy cuddle bugs.   Dog Friends   Gadget and Gizmo live with a 22-lb doodle named Ollie, and they absolutely adore him.   They were initially a little shy because he seemed so big compared to them, but it didn’t take long before they realized he was a fantastic playmate. Now they happily chase him, wrestle with him, and sometimes even team up together during playtime.   What Makes Them Special   These girls are full of personality and bring constant laughter and sweetness into a home.   One particularly memorable moment happened during a work meeting when their foster suddenly noticed something unusual moving across the computer’s green screen background. When they turned around, they discovered Gadget and Gizmo playing tug-of-war with a potty pad, proudly parading their prize across the room like a trophy.   They are smart, silly, and endlessly entertaining— exactly the kind of puppies who make every day brighter.   Gadget and Gizmo are two lovable little sisters who are ready to grow up in homes filled with patience, playtime, and affection. Whoever welcomes one of these girls into their life will be gaining a joyful, hilarious, and very lovable companion.April 14, 2026, 1:33 am

Story
We rescued Milo from a shelter. He was timid neglected skinny and covered in fleas. Has poor skin and coat condition due to flea allergy dirt and poor diet. Thanks to the shelter for bathing and cutting off his mats. Milo warms up and is friendly with people and dogs. At his transport foster home he liked their dogs and jumped on their laps. 🥰 Milo is a gentle sweetie. Milo sleeps in crate at night. He will get his vet exam and Rabies with our vet. Milo will need time to get healthy with fresh foods probiotics Kefir and will get extra TLC at his foster home. Once he gains some weight then he will get neutered. More info and photos to come. 2/19/25: Milo has his 2nd vet visit for itchy skin from flea allergy neglect or poor diet. Vet gave him a anti-itch injection meds skin scrap test blood test medicated shampoo ear cleaning with meds and antibiotics. His current foster home is not experienced and would like us to find him another more dog experienced foster home. He is sweet and timid. Did seem happier at his first transport foster home with 2 dogs at home. Went onto laps. 3/5/26: Milo's vet just prescribed a special shampoo to be used for a month. Had cytopoint injection. Gained weight. Fur growing back. Milo is doing much better! Once his coat and skin look good and no more itching then neuter. Will probably take another month at his foster home. 3/15/26: Milo is eating well and gaining weight. Now 9 lbs vs 6 lbs. Hair is growing back. He is spunky and puppy playful.YouTube: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1622509002391718April 13, 2026, 1:07 am
