Pepper is an extremely loving and loyal dog. She enjoys playing fetch, running around outside and chewing on bones and other toys (she is great about not chewing on other things like furniture or shoes). She particularly loves tennis balls. She is protective of her family and has been a very sweet companion for the past 5 years. She was born on 10/3/2020 and we adopted her at around 15 weeks. She is housebroken and very intelligent. She knows a handful of commands but can be stubborn at times. We sometimes think she is too smart for her own good. We recently had children and, unfortunately, she is not comfortable with the unpredictability of small children. We think she would thrive in a home without kids where she is able to get plenty of exercise. Her nature around those she is close to and trusts is completely loving and calm, but she does bark at those who approach the house and can be territorial of her home, so we often separate her from guests for her comfort.

Hello, I would like to introduce to Dustin. Dustin belonged to my brother, who suddenly passed away in December. Since then, Dustin has unfortunately been moved between four different homes in a short period of time. We believe this has caused him significant fear, confusion, and stress, and has made it very difficult for him to feel safe or settled. Dustin is a mixed breed (Pit Bull / Weimaraner mix), 4 years old, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations. In the right environment, he is a loving and loyal dog. He loves walks but also loves to snuggle under the blankets like he used to do with my brother. We have been working with a professional behaviorist who has evaluated Dustin and determined that, at this time, he would do best in: An adult-only home A home with no other dogs An experienced owner familiar with reactive or fearful dogs A calm, structured environment We love Dustin very much and are looking for a loving and patient home for him to thrive in.

Luna is the sweetest girl. She has such a sweet personality towards her humans including children. She does seem to have a high prey drive towards cats and small animals so she does need a home with no kitties! Luna was bought from someone on facebook and her owner recently passed away in a car accident and the owner's girlfriend was caring for Luna while trying to find placement for her. She did come to us not spayed so she will be spayed before she goes home. She is up to date on vaccines and current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. She does know how to sit and give paws for treats, She is VERY treat motivated which makes it easier for training!

KENNEL ID #18804 Trixie is a happy and active 5-year-old dog whose owner is a single mom battling metastatic breast cancer. While she loves Trixie dearly, she no longer has the energy to give her the exercise and attention she needs. Trixie is crate trained, housebroken, and knows her commands. She enjoys car rides, sleeping in bed with you, and cuddling on the couch—once she settles down, of course! Trixie loves being outside and is trained to stay within the property boundary thanks to an invisible fence. She does like to chase the resident cat, but it's all in good fun; she just wants to play, even though the cat doesn’t feel the same way. Trixie hasn’t been around many other dogs, except for one female dog that she didn’t get along with, so we can't predict how she would react to other dogs. Trixie is great with children, showering her owner’s 4-year-old with kisses! However, she can be a bit rough and sometimes accidentally knocks him over. For this reason, we recommend a home with older children. Trixie is currently still in her home but needs to find a new one quickly.
