Get it…. rock. Our puns may be dated but Obsidian sure isn’t! We rescued this gorgeous, goofy gal from the shelter after we saw her cute face and just couldn’t let ourselves leave her behind. Obsidian is the perfect dog for those ready for pawsome adventures and activities. She is ready for anything and would love to join your home. Read on for more about this amazing pup!    Obsidian is a loving and sweet girl who has the most photogenic face in the world. Obi is slowly building up her confidence but we know in the right home she will bloom! Like any good cattle dog, Obi is super smart and loves her mental and physical exercise. Obi is a dog for a family who loves to get out and explore the world with a canine best friend! She is working on finding an “off” button to adventure mode but with summer coming up, what could be better than a friend looking for an amazing road trip lover? She loves to give hugs by laying her head on you and soaking up your affection. She is a half-and-half velcro dog. She will follow you around the house if you are doing anything that interests her, but if you bore her she will end up taking a nap or finding something fun to do. Obi would love a companion dog in her new home to play with and mirror so she can continue growing up as fabulously as she is now.  Obsidian starts her day at 7 AM with an immediate trip outside for potty. After she comes inside she gets her breakfast which she loves. She spends her morning playing with her foster siblings and relaxing around the house. Once everyone is ready she gets a morning training walk and then an afternoon confidence building adventure. Obi is thriving in her foster home with her amazing foster mama! During the day, Obi hangs out with her lab foster sibling when she isn’t keeping herself occupied. Obi gets dinner at around 6 PM and spends her evening romping around the house and yard to get herself tired for bedtime. After one last trip outside, she goes to bed around 10 PM and snoozes through the night.  Obi has been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes since joining our rescue. She is fostered with both cats and dogs. She can sometimes present as a bit standoffish when meeting new dogs or people but she quickly warms up. Obi is working on her leash walking skills but since she is pretty young we know she will be paw-fect in no time! Obi is about 75% house trained. Obi is so smart and just wants to make her people happy, so we know she will brighten any home she joins. She already knows the following tricks: sit, down, spin, get into the car. What more could you want! Obsidian can’t wait to make your life com-paw-lete!    Obsidian is only an option for homes with prior dog experience, especially those with active breed experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9.June 22, 2024, 8:04 pm
