Coco is a sweetheart! She is good with other dogs, loves to play and be outside. She needs someone who will be patient as she gets comfortable in your home, and she cannot be outside alone due to her being so nervous she may try to get out. But I don’t think that will last long once she trusts you. She’s very treat motivated and will be easy to train. Shes potty trained, and crate trained. She doesn’t make a sound when she needs to be in a crate. She will be the best companion for someone’s family. I have not seen her with children for cats, but I know she is good with other dogs.

We have named this timid girl Dandelion. She was surrendered on 9/11 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter due to too many animals. Dandelion is listed as a mixed breed. I checked it out on a couple of my dog scanners and here are some possible breeds in her mix: American Coonhound, English Pointer, Aussie Cattle Dog, Bluetick Coonhound. Hard to say but bottom line, she is the sweetest soul imaginable. Dandelion has been spayed, weighs 39lbs and is about 4 mos old. She has a mellow and chill personality and is quite submissive. She loves treats. She is friendly and was happy to let me love on her. As she continues to have interaction from other volunteers and staff, she will doubtless blossom and warm up! She would not walk on a leash and I’m surmising that she has not been on a leash before. So I had to carry her around. Doubtless once she has had some leash training and becomes less fearful of all the dogs barking at her, she will be a pro at it! It would take a very short while hanging out with her to fall in love with sweet pup! Will you please help this precious youngster out of the shelter and on the way to her forever home,

Meet Leo! He is a 8yr old neutered Australian Cattle dog, possibly some shepherd, that weighs 44lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/16 as a stray. It`s possible he may have a few other breeds in his mix. Doesn’t matter tho, as he is very handsome and will charm you with his smile. He loves to get out of his kennel and go for walks to stretch his legs. He passes by the other dogs barking at him with no issues to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Taking in all the smells, with that constant smile on his face. He found a few stuffed toys that he enjoyed tossing around. He enjoys being petted and loved on and on occasion he may give you a kiss. He also knows the sit command and takes treats gently. He would love to have an active family to take him for walks, and have a secured yard to play in. Most importantly live indoors so he can enjoy family time with his human companions. You can’t go wrong with this wonderful guy. Come meet Leo!
